Wild wet n windy night here. Ain't going to be the most silky of games tonight, might suit us as Aberdeens passing game could rip us a new one as we are so slow at times. Scrappy win will do me.

And also a big performance from McFadden if he puts them to the sword then he can be shit all season for all I care. Can't take another shitty cup performance again.

Been unsure what to think of this but after initially thinking if they lit smoke bombs then he'll mend them. However after looking at the heavy hands page on fb with pictures that don't lie I'm firmly on the side of the bois and the completely over the top way they were treated. Kettling , searching, threats of arrest etc has been well spoken about. However what is really narking me is why the undercover police ? It's hardly a powder keg game with no previous disorder, to me this is a marker to a darker issue within football and one which I hate " football fans are law breaking violent hooligans who cannot be trusted and must be controlled by intimidation as near to the ground as possible". I've spoken in the past of my falling out of love for the game because of, price, no loyalty to season ticket holders when reducing prices at PATG, crap food (pie not steak as they always run out and draft coke) all of which you wat too long to be served, 40 year old man being spoken to like a criminal by the high viz mob, sit down, don't get excited and fuk off when we tell you. Not renewed my season ticket and not been to a game yet apart from the Euro angd sadly must confess I'm not that bothered, I'm actually looking forward to the start of the basketball season. Free parking, very decent pricing, indoors through the shitty weather, same time every week and same day, friendly stewards that can be polite and smile that also show you to you're seat, beer if you want as you're an adult and a much better selection of food/snacks. All in all you are treated like a customer not some stupid loyal dog. Bit of a winded rant and maybe straying a bit off topic, but to sum up I'm sick of being undervalued and what happens to the bois at the weekend pretty much sums up we are not of any real value to the game, mearly something to be tolerated at best. I will always support Motherwell ( i will still PATG for the games imwant to see ) and feel guilty for the club I feel this way but something has to Change and I honestly don't see where it's coming from in the near future.

Some people on here have totally shot this idea down already, its a review looking into the possibility of reintroducing alcohol and how it would be done. This will give the clubs some very badly needed revenue and I'm all for that as well as enhancing the experience for those that want a drink at the match. " warm beer, no space and overpricing" may be factors but lets wait and see what the review says first before ripping the idea the shreds people.

Tories seek review of ban on alcohol at Scottish football matches Fans in Scotland can only buy alcohol in hospitality or corporate areasContinue reading the main story Related Stories Calls to lift football booze ban The Scottish Conservatives want a review of the ban on the sale of alcohol at Scottish football matches. Strict controls were introduced in 1980 after violent clashes during the Scottish Cup final at Hampden. The Tories said the rules may be "out-of-date" and are writing to every senior football club in Scotland seeking their views. In England, alcohol can be consumed before matches and at half-time inside football stadia. Fans south of the border can buy a drink on the concourses at designated times during and after games, but are not allowed to take alcohol back to their seats. It is possible to drink alcohol at other sporting events in Scotland, such as rugby union. However, at football matches alcohol can only be consumed in corporate hospitality areas, although not during the game itself. This privilege is not extended to the vast majority of supporters. Cash-strapped clubsScottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson said: "I understand why the ban was brought in all those years ago, but times have changed significantly since then. Continue reading the main story “Start Quote There's no reason why this should be successfully in place in England but not north of the border” Ruth DavidsonScottish Tory leader"We now have modern stadia with excellent stewarding to keep spectators safer, allowing more families to attend matches. "This has resulted in the football-watching experience being a far more civilised experience than it was 30 years ago." She added: "There's no reason why this should be successfully in place in England but not north of the border. "It seems unfair that people who can have a drink in a bar, rugby ground or even at a concert in football stadiums are unable to consume alcohol before they sit down to watch a game of football." Ms Davidson said that a change could bring extra revenue to some cash-strapped clubs. The general sale of alcohol was banned at stadiums in the aftermath of the 1980 Scottish Cup final between Celtic and Rangers, which saw rival fans battling on the field and police on horseback attempting to defuse the trouble. In 2007 the Scottish government lifted the ban for international rugby matches at Murrayfield Stadium, allowing fans to drink alcohol while watching games.

Hollis for me 2 terrific saves. People are quick to crucify him if he doesn't play well but the outfield players are afforded the "they are still gelling" excuse. For me his save at the end won us the game.

Fuk hatley thanks but over rated fuck mc Donald fat badge kissing wank. Fuk mc goo who couldn't jump ship quick enough. And fuck shagger Broon who doesn't know the meaning of loyalty. My support goes to the players who have the best interests of Motherwell at heart rather than themselves so up the lasley and hamill and McCall but 2 of pure die hard pros and a manager that put the club we love first. I'd rather have lesser players than the egos we have had before. Except McCall dho due to circumstances we are lucky to have. Mon the well and let's forget those that thought they were better than they actually are.

Fukin hell reminds me of a time a m8 went to Prague on a stag do and got a taxi to the local ( sports bar) he entered wanting to watch the football (smelltic fan) and It turned out to be a strip club. He tried to leave immediately but the bouncers said he had ordered 2 bottles of champagne and he had to pay before leaving. They pulled back there jackets to reveal side arms and he stupidly panicked and tried to push back. They left him with 3 broken ribs, a fractured eye socket , fractured skull and severe swelling on his face and body. Also minus his watch and wallett with 200 euros. When he got out of hospital 3 days later ( with not a single police officer coming to take a statement despite being robbedand severely, beaten then taken away in an ambulance) he spoke to the hotel staff who told him " don't bother reporting it as the police are corrupt, the taxi driver got paid to set him up and nothing would legally be done" Forgive me but I will give these places a massive wide berth.

Do you have any spare time to dedicate to the club in the next 2 weeks? We are midway through our stadium prep for the season and in order to get more of the 'must do' and 'would like to do' jobs done quickly, we are asking for some help. Those who registered on Steelmen Forever have been contacted with the details but those who have not registered - if you have some time and fancy helping us with general jobs, painting, cleaning, weeding and generally getting our stadium looking it's best and as safe as possible (or you have a trade that you think would help us) then email Alan.Marshall@motherwellfc.co.uk to note interest. We need you in the next 2 weeks. We'll feed you at lunch time (we do a nice lunch at FP) and generally say thank you for the efforts. Please share.
