What I like about football policing is that the fans are expected to "police" themselves, acitvely encouraged to at times. But you wouldn't see the public being encouraged to stop an armed robbery. I am in Cyprus for two of the last 4 league games. I am delighted.

Not an excuse for last night but plastic pitches should be outlawed Erwin IMO has been minging all year barring maybe 5 games. He get off with it cos he is one of ours who tries. I don't think any one really rates Long but I still think he is better than Twardzik. Decent at best though. Did anyone pull him up? I agree with the majority of this post, except the parts regarding Twardzik and I also thought Johnson was pretty poor yesterday. Saw quite a lot of the ball but it looked like he was struggling with the plastic park and the way the ball didn't hold up like it would on grass, the bounce on some of the diagonal passes he recieved didn't help him at times.

I will be extremely pissed off if we somehow manage to win the next four games (or at least win a few and play well in them) and still end up in the play off. The last two games have scunnered me.

One of the best things I did with regards to going to the games was join WTFC. 'Flow sent me an invite to use the (old) 'Welltrust message boards and within a few weeks he, Fatcalf, Yabba's Turd and a few others started the process of forming a supporters football team. That was in (roughly) late 2003 I think. At this point I was going to the fitba with cousin & my mate. Through the fitba team (and this site) we started meeting up with folk on a regular basis, attending away games or meeting in JD's before games. I have met many a folk through the fitba and the trips thorugh this site ( the masters, away days etc.) There is still a few of us cutting about together just now!

I know some folk don't like it, but I don't mind friday night football. I seem to have enjoyed it when I have attended. If we can get points on the board early it puts a wee bit of pressure on others. Agree 1 game at a time though.

Much like others, I am dreading a relegation playoff. If we do end up going down the budgets will be slashed accordingly and we will run at a lesser cost, mostly likely focusing on youth development. I agree half of the places mentioned in the first division are shiteholes but if we do end up having to go to these places that will be half the fun. I am in no way looking forward to these trips in some "happy clappy" manner. It may be that to build for the future we may have to start over. from the begining.
