  1. Was it not claimed the people responsible at the St J game were fans of another side? Now, part of the Fair Play criteria is fans behaviour.... I think you see where I'm going with this.
  2. Do any sides we are playing from now on in have a black player?
  3. Given his also known Hibernian allegiance, I can only hope the players don't put one challenge in.

    In's And Out's

Pay as you play deal only, anything other than that would be suicide.

    Clarky - 250 Up!

I'd say he is, considering of the non-OF players, he's second to the supposed great white hope of Scottish football, by a mere two goals... Kris Boyd 25 Scott McDonald 16 Georgios Samaras 14 Steven Fletcher 12 David Clarkson 10

    Clarky - 250 Up!

Castlemilk aside, when you've got players like McGeady, Robson, Brown, Hartley, Maloney et al pinging balls forward all game, every game, any striker worth his salt is going to fire in the goals.

    Clarky - 250 Up!

Is that a serious question?? He's playing in the leagues best side, with top class players playing alongside him in every area of the pitch, and having already had a prolific record in the league for a few years, going up to another level playing with a much high calibre of player is only going to help a striker.

    Clarky - 250 Up!

An even better way to look at it to my mind is he went what, 2 seasons only scoring about 5 goals.- if you were to discount those two seasons, say 50 games, you're looking about just under 50 goals in 200 games, almost 1 in 4, a fantastic record for a guy who was only 17 when he broke through. Makes his record of just over 1 in 5 looks very good in my mind...
  9. It's a question that's been discussed already on numerous threads as well as being addressed in the media recently I didn't think there'd be anyone unaware of it.
  10. Just heard on Radio Scotland that Steven Dobbie has signed/will soon sign for Swansea. I reckon that may be your man.
  11. Especially when no matter how you try to dress it up, the team will be coasting, whether conciously or not, and the majority of fans, likewise.
  12. As part of a project at Uni I am examining the role that fanzines play in football fan culture today. In the past, they have been popular with just about every team having a club-specific fanzine and basically I'm looking at exactly where they are now, so if you could do the poll and then add any other comments into a thread, including what you voted for, then it'd be much appreciated. Cheers
  13. No doubt someone will come along saying why was he speaking about it in the first place, but thats a great response and a far cry from what we have perhaps been used to from him. Hopefully we'll get off to a good start in the summer with regards to signings and actually have some solid players in place before the season.
  14. I dunno man, remember that terrible commute from Motherwell to Edinburgh that poor Callum Elliot had to make. Look how that affected his game
  15. Should be a good night, can I also ask, why a pool tournament? A very good idea, and a bit different from the normal race night etc.
  16. Because that's what Motherwell fans do. He has been judged, and deemed not good enough and therefore will not be given a fair crack of the whip with every mistake/slight error seized upon with howls of derision from the stands.
  17. What about folk just looking to go along to watch the football and have a laugh, will it be a donation on the door?
  18. He turned them down before, so why would he go now?

    Accies Away

Nope. The prices- provided they aren't trying to get a bigger crowd to try and help them to survive in the SPL, will no doubt be about £20 for adults, which for what is a meaningless game for us, just isn't on. If the notion takes me, I'll head into college and watch over it from there whilst doing "work".
  20. Last year was certainly the most entertaining 'Well side I can remember watching, whether it was as good as the team with the likes of Coyne, Arnott, Martin etc that had 2nd and 3rd placed finishes that I vaguely remember from my younger days, is an interesting debate, as the game has moved on, but in my years as a season ticket holder- must be about 15 years now, then yes, this is the best squad of players I've witnessed.
  21. I'd argue the point about Buzz this year, he has been outstanding in our big matches, Hughes on the other hand, he'll play outstanding for half a game then drop out it, like yesterday.
  22. I think its a tad unfair of you to criticise the club when they clearly have sent the letters out- as shown by the amount of people who HAVE recieved the letter, I'd say that the fact they arrived on different days for people may point to a Royal Mail delivery issue.
  23. Ach bollocks, that's why I failed maths, I forgot to count Fraser. That'll be the new AM out the window.
  24. I'd love to see us line up something like ---------------------Fraser--------------------------- -------- McLean----Craigan----Reynolds Quinn -------------------------------------Hammell ---------------------Lasley-------------------------- O Brien -------------------------------------New LM ---------------Sutton----------Clarkson------------ Think that would be a decent line up, allowing our full backs to attack whilst keeping a solid back line, with Reynolds playing closer to left back, allowing cover for his mistakes with two more solid centre halves alongside him. If we can have Lasley or Klimpl in the holding role with a new AM, whoever replaces Hughes linking the midfield and front two then we can really look to take the game to opposition teams. The Sutton/Clarkson partnership is maturing, every time I see it, I get more impressed with their link up and I see goals in them if they get decent support and I think O Brien and a decent LM- not Steven McGarry, who for all his effort, lacks any real end product, going forward and getting the balls in would help them fire them in. Realistically, 2 new signings is all we can hope for, other than Fraser, and I'd prefer them to come in the midfield area as we are crying out for a decent left sided mid- Jim McAllister?
