  1. Generally they take buses to each game, so say the buses aren't full, about 30 per bus, Central, Wishaw and Bellshill, thats 90 folk. Our away support is something like 400 (on a good day) going by my maths skills, that is over 20% of the allocation.
  2. Porter was the obvious choice, but went for Hammell who I thought had a very good game on the left, put an excellent cross in for the goal, came close with a drive late on and generally showed what he COULD do for us if he can be arsed. Going up against Wife Beater Tokely surely helped right enough.
  3. I know they all keep records, so it would be easy to prove just how effective it is as a body now. Perhaps the best way to have worked out who was elligible via the SA rather than give a set amount of tickets, would be check their records for those who have attended x% of the away matches.
  4. I think it's down to the SA being solely for away games, similar to the SSC, and them getting first dibs at away game tickets. For a few years the club have ignored the Association and I think this is them trying to make amends. It's not ideal, but it's a good move from the club to reward regular travellers.

He was on the pitch, but playing, I'd rather not judge. As for the goal, I can't fault Smith, he came out, shouted, as several people in the Cooper confirmed to me, and it was the back header from Hughes ( I think) that put is in real danger. Some choice Brewster chanting today!
  6. Just came in from work and in the car, the temperature was given as -4, now, the game against Hearts was postponed in not unlike temperatures, I know it was frosty prior to that, but I have to wonder if the club have taken all necessary precautions about the weather this time. The grass on the way from the bus stop is all frozen, I can only hope the ground is ok, otherwise we are looking at a MASSIVE fine and possible point deduction. I know it's hypothetical at this stage, but part of me is waiting for it to happen.

    Bring Back

Bring back my baby to me, to me.
  8. His volley against Hearts that sealed a 2-1 win if I mind right, a sweeter strike you'll struggle to see.
  9. Pity he can't go forward more than 2 paces without cutting injside and losing possession.

Pretty much all of it, he's been missing the best part of 2 months.
  11. Todays team: Motherwell: Graeme Smith ,Saunders ,Klimpl ,Quinn ,Reynolds ,Hammell ,Murphy (O'Brien ,58 ) ,Lasley ,McGarry (Darren Smith ,64 ) ,Porter ,Sutton Subs not used Nielsen,Malcolm,Fitzpatrick,McHugh,Hutchinson, Same game last season: Motherwell: Graeme Smith ,Quinn ,Craigan ,Reynolds ,Paterson ,Clarkson (Murphy ,67 ) ,Hughes (Lasley ,84 ) ,O'Donnell (Darren Smith ,65 ) ,McGarry ,McCormack ,Porter Subs not used: Meldrum,Corrigan,Brian McLean,Fitzpatrick, It's easy to see our problems stem from lack of quality cover, lack of players with skill and craft. As well as players who were outstanding last year- namely Reynolds, McGarry, Lasley and Porter- being mainly pish this year, what can we expect.

Aye, cause Under 19s are really the ones to be throwing in in a relegation battle. Sorry, but face facts, we are at our level, with this squad and that won't change. Get used to it.

    Mark McGhee

Exactly, come on, get a grip, things are bad, but we are not in a position to keep sacking managers, just not gonna happen. And even if he did go, who on Earth could we get to replace him, realistically? Scott Leitch? Aye, cause he worked wonders at Ross County.

    Fixing It

I think I'd go with Grievesie Jay- Jamie-Haggis-Gaag Al B-McQ-Flow-Frazzle FrazzaB-IanMFC Would be about as much use as that shower.

Pass the ground at least 4 times a week and the surface always looks in top condition, looks like they done a proper job when they relaid the turf this year. The only thing that will put the game off, is the high winds, if they continue in to tomorrow, given its openness.

It'll be the police that have required it in all likelihood, they will like to know the numbers they're dealing with.
  17. Fair enough, might spark some action at the club.
  18. The Season Ticket boards weren't in use at the Killie game, not at the East Stand anyway....

    Season 09/10

A yes from me, providing there are no large increases in the price and that we are guaranteed some sort of good will gesture should they lower prices.
  20. Fact is, they either enforce the rule totally or not at all, there are several pockets in the East Stand that stand throughout the match, virtually the entire back 2 rows, bits in the end section and the Well Boys, there is only ever one section that I see being forced to sit down, and its the young guys. Maybe if they saw them stewarding other areas rather than picking on one group they'd be inclined to sit. One steward the other night was useless, he went into the row, walked along the row, not making anyone sit down and stood there, causing yet more of a blockage than when they were just standing themselves.

No doubt we need natural wide players, oh for a Stuart Elliot type player.
  22. If he didn't have those momentary fuck ups he'd be at a far better level than Motherwell.

I'd start anybody infront of McGarry at the moment, he has lost whatever he had last season, a complete passenger now. I don't understand why Fizzy doesn't start when we play a 4 man midfield, if we had proper wide players, then I could forgive it, but we don't and there are few better in the team than breaking up the play than Fitzpatrick.
  24. else make a trip into deepest darkest North Motherwell, a spooky sight at times! Began reading the new book on the way back last night, its more my era of supporting the 'Well home and away and already remembering some brilliant moments that coincide with those spoken about in the book.

    Maroš Klimpl

Yes, at least he recovered, Reynolds, Craigan, Quinn or Hammell who NEED to be bailed out by others.
