Opposite onestis. Bought 11 Northampton tops on saturday!
-
I'm dying for Paul Slane to come back now, i think we'l do ok with Sutters upfront himself but he thrives off of pacy wing play.
-
The thing is, today for the most part the crowd were quite good. We stood and had a sing song but when the stewards asked us to sit down (politely this time) people did it.
-
Had a quick chat with Gaz before the game today and meant to ask him about it but i think hes going to put a bit of time into a higher res version of his original picture and i'll then send it over to the flag makers. I wont find out until Monday night their quote for the bigger flag but i think the plan is to see how much it will be and if we get enough donations we'l go for that. If not then we'l go for the slightly smaller version for £145. I wont take any cash until the design is finalised and we have an idea of the size. (although thanks to Matt J, paid a tenner today!).
-
Right, going to get this "Welcome To Motherwell" flag sorted out, the best quote i have so far is £145 although thats maybe a little on the small side so i've requested something a bit bigger. They are going to get back to me monday and if its a decent price i'll get it ordered straight away. Pledge your donations here in this thread and i'll keep it updated, i'll also fire up a paypal address to send money too but not until after we know exactly how much its going to cost. Target Reached! No more money please.

To who? The polis were wading in just as much. It seems to be a completely different set of laws at the fitba with the polis, your just told to shut up and sit down.
-
Paint? As in tins ae paint? I'd rather we paid a wee bit extra mate and got it dyed - seems to look alot better and lasts longer.
-
Get the finger oot and get a quote then!
-
Where from? That seems not too bad, and what size is it? I just asked for a quote from them barmy flags lot for one sized 18ft x 9ft. That big enough?
-
I sit in that section and i havent seen any "paedo chanting neds" ? There is a few neds a couple of rows infront of me but there is literally about 6 of them and i dont think they are driving anyone away.
-
Thats the largest that company do Anyone know where to go for bigger ones?
-
I think it was actually his maw that was telt to fuck off? Either way still shite.I'm not sure it will be on CCTV though, the cameras move about up that end.
-
I'm happy to put a wee donation into it mate definitely. The only thing i'd say is to keep it to the claret and white, the quote i got was based on those two colours only.
-
Anyone know anything about flags to know if that is a decent quote? And Gaz are you sound with it being made into a flag?
-
I'm not sure you could classify it as an "assault". I saw the incident and the steward did lift his hands to the boy and it did look like it ripped his jacket, but does that constitute assualt?

Yes? Again these are just regulations that the powers that be have decided to enforce from the original set of guidelines i think? Thats the point most people are trying to make, it is not the law, is ridiculous and should be changed.
-
It doesent seem theres much point trying to have a sensible debate with you. I'll ask you once more though, where does it state in that paragraph that patrons must sit down for the duration of the game? It states that all the stadia must be all seated and that each punter with a ticket should be allocated to a single seat. This is simply to avoid a crush situation or too many people being in one section. In no place does it say that you have to actually sit in the seat for the full game. There is some kind of green pamphlet that has been produced that i believe the stewards and match commander adhere to and it is in this that i believe there is a guideline about getting people to sit down, in no way is this the law. I dont disagree with you that stadiums should be all seater to avoid disasters like Hillsborough but standing infront of your seat and cheering on your team is not a health and safety risk. EDIT: I think that the only teenager who has posted in this thread supporting standing up is callum, the rest of us are aw big grown ups.
-
What an odd post. If you want to sit down then you can certainly do so but theres no need to have a go at the people who want to/like to stand. So we got an all seater stadia and no one is obliged to stand, they have a seat if they want it. Where does that say we have to sit down and shut up for 90 minutes or get thrown out?
-
Didnt get anything mate?
-
Got the mail today, but the wording isnt as clear as i expected. Does it mean that we are definitely playing and just dont know what team we'r in? Or that they dont know if we are playing at all?
-
Dont think thats possible, the SPL have their own rules that state that the sections need to be seated, but not that you actually have to sit down the full game.
-
Bottom line is that the stewards at that end of the ground are being paid to repel Motherwell fans from Fir Park. If the club doesent do something about it then people will seriously stop coming back to games or there will be a major incident at that end of the ground. Towards the end of the season the stewards were actually ok i thought, they spoke to the supporters like human beings and came up with certain compromises (sit down for 5 minutes at a time etc to appease the match commander) which most people did. The more the stewards act like this then the more people will try to stand.
-
But its a guideline, it isnt the law and its something that is only applied at certain peoples discretion. I think the problem most people like myself have is the way its enforced. Everyone knows that up that end of the east stand people like to stand up and have a bit more of a sing song, its only one section and anyone who wants to sit down for the full game can so safely in the majority of other areas in the stadium. I dont see what the problem would be with allowing the last section in the east stand to stand up for the duration of the game. To say its a health and safety risk is absolutely ridiculous, are they seriously saying that standing up is dangerous?
