I'm sure O'Brien was released along with Paddy McCourt after their relegation was confirmed.
-
I would rather have Craig Reid and Fraser Kerr over the shite that is Van Zanten.
-
I hope Hollis goes as I feel Nielsen is the better of the 2 keepers just now, Nielsen still has another year on his contract anyway whereas Hollis doesn't so Id rather we let him go and get another keeper in. Hopefully get rid of McHugh as well, other than that if we keep everyone else and can add one or two players then I think we could be in for another great season.
-
Sadly McHugh still has another year left on his contract, although id happily punt him on a free transfer to anyone that wants him!

Ya fucking dancer, I think my whole street heard me when that goal went in from Reid, certainly wasn't pretty but in terms of being well disciplined and patient then I'd say we deserve it. Also huge congratulations to our 12th man the fans who silenced the Aberdeen crowd all day.

I believe James McFadden is on 3k a week at the club which is why his wages are being funded by a director.
-
I spoke to someone a few weeks back at a game who revealed that after speaking to Gordon Marshall after an AGM he was quoted as saying that Marshall felt Gunnar Nielsen had the potential to be as good as Darren Randolph, I then responded that if that's what Marshall really thinks then he should be sacked on the spot for that stupidity.
-
Is that not what the Well Society is meant to be for?
-
I believe all the top 6 games kick off at the same time on that day, I think they try and make it all the top 6 play at once and then the bottom 6 then kick off at the same time later on in the day or play the day before.
-
Guys on radio Scotland said Angol was starting on the right in place of Reid for second half but I wouldn't be surprised if they move Vigurs to the right and play Angol on the left.
-
We have another physio at Motherwell as well, I think his name is Adam Stokes who I'm sure has learned a lot off John Porteous and will oversee things until John returns later in the week to prepare the injured players for their return. The good thing is after the Hibs game we don't have a game for 10 days and I would imagine the majority of the injured will be returning to training in that time as well.

Nielsen is contracted with us till the end of next season, its Hollis who is out of contract this summer, I would most likely punt him and get Twardzik or some other half decent keeper that isn't prone to mistakes most games. I would also be very surprised if Hutchy stays next season, I can see him ending up somewhere like Sheffield utd this summer.

Yes if we loan a player out to a part time club then they continue to train with us as normal apart from the days they train at that club which are usually Tuesday and Thursday evenings. I believe that's still the case anyway.

I don't think Nielsen can be blamed at all for the 1st goal today, I blame Hutchinson for getting turned by Stokes far too easily and McManus if you watch the replay back makes no attempt to bust a gut to keep Commons away from the tap in. Nielsen parrying it where he did was all he could do. I also believe that Stokes well and truly dived for his penalty and that Nielsen never actually touched him. I watched and saw the ball was going out of play and Stokes doesn't go down till he is at least a few yards past Nielsen which to me makes it a clear dive. I felt we played well second half but if you don't take the chances then most likely you will get punished, don't know why Faddy never put his foot through the ball instead of trying to be clever and place into the net.

Here is todays team as per Twitter page.
Motherwell: Twardzik, Hammell, Ramsden, Hutchinson, McManus, Sutton, Vigurs, Lasley, Carswell, Anier, Ainsworth Motherwell subs: Stewart, McFadden, Lawson, Cummins, Moore, Murray, Leitch
-
I would ship out the lot of them and bring in players who will actually a leg to win games for us.
-
I see Anier has scored twice for Estonia against Liechtenstein. Hopefully this will get his confidence up a bit and start a wee goal scoring run for us again.
-
Delighted with that a piss easy tie that we will win comfortably, good thing it wasn't an SPL side or the Glasgow bigot brothers otherwise we would be out before it's started given our recent cup form.
-
I think its down to Stuart McCall which of the first team players feature in these games for extra fitness, he maybe thinks that Nielsen wouldn't benefit more than he is at the moment playing in these games.
-
I read a couple weeks back that Omar Daley has signed for some team in Thailand of all places, maybe Tom Hateley could try his luck there as well!
-
McFadden has a groin strain and would've struggled to be fit for the game tomorrow anyway, I went down to training the other day and McFadden wasn't even there either although Sutton and Vigurs were training.
