  1. And how exactly would you know? As I said they are checked independantly by a seperate counter which you can neither see nor hear.
  2. Indoor Football - problem solved
  3. When you push the turnstyle it adds 1 to the counter inside it. As I said their is a seperate counter which is linked to the police control room which fans can't see which registers how many are in the ground. I see posts like this on here all the time. Sometimes when you push through you can't hear the clicking noise of the hydraulic which turns the turnstyle. This isn't the sound of the counter which registers how many are in.
  4. Numbers through the Turnstyle plus hospitality numbers. Theirs also a seperate counter inside the turnstyle which counts inside the police control room which is used as a check if a turnstyle clicker is broken.
  5. He isn't the only person thats said it - its just that with him working for the club at the time he should've known better. Rather than fitba fans being shite at guessing the crowd - he nearly let out the secret that its all one big tax dodge and the club are sitting on the biggest pile of cash out. The Fir Park Prawn Sandwich brigade have kept it quiet that the use £20 notes to wipe their arse!
  6. I've always thought the timing of this event could be a bit better but its always been a decent night in the past and I hope its a success. Don't kid yersel Fraz that the club couldn't organise it. If the Supporters Association can share jobs then why can't the club do likewise. As you said - knowing the club it would be given to one person who sort out who would be stressed out to the max yet it would still look half-arsed. The club often fail to take a step back when thinking about events. Whenever recommendations are made regarding simple match day stuff at Fir Park its always ignored. Jamie Glasgow - was he the young guy who was responsible for the Open day a few years ago? I ask as the young guy who was supposed to be in charge of everything still had to ask me what was happening next even though he had the agenda in his head and I was only there to help Once he found out I did the turnstyles he even questioned the attendance of the previous game and was convinced the club were deliberately giving a lower attendance figure than those who were in the ground.
  7. Eh? I'd argue the club has better resources than the Supporters Association to run it as the club at least has full time staff which could deal with stuff. I see some have said its been hastily arranged but I don't think this is the case as Polomint Dosser has pointed out - its always been arranged about this time. Folk have also complained about short notice period but I'm sure folk in the supporters association have known about it for a weeks now it just that the previous supporters associations have never had much publicity on here in the past.
  8. Onthefringes - Would those pitch repairs not cover the period where we had to relay the East / South Stand corner the previous year? The pitch replacement from last summer will no doubt be covered in next years budget. As you said the McGhee money will cover it but all to often on here I see posts like the one I quoted in which someone lists X,Y and Z pieces of income and assumes that we'll make a large profit when the truth is any profit we make will be very modest.
  9. Remember you've probably got the pitch expenses to add into this. So I doubt it'll be a huge profit.
  10. You can get your knickers untwisted now - it was a post in jest hence the wee funny face - get it! If your gonny give out clues as to who it is then why not say who it is in your first post to give your post a wee bit of extra credit otherwise you'll get the same reaction you got here - either that or give us a big game of hangman till we correctly guess who it is. I'll have a P please Bob!
  11. "Someone high up in the club" = guy who changes the floodlights / guy who cleans the South Stand roof!
  12. Could be if we take McGhee back on loan
  13. From what I hear Matthews is the reason Paul hasn't been playing much this season. In saying that Cardiff will be looking to get top dollar for Matthews soon and they've just extended Paul's contract to 2013 which shows Cardiff obviously still rate Coach very highly.
  14. Reviews realy don't count for anything if they don't sign him though. What would you say would be money well spent - £10k on Connerton or adding an extra £10k onto the wages/signing on fee of some of the players who we're currently discussing contracts with?
  15. The game where Owen Coyle ruined Rangers 9-in-a-row party was live on Sky.
  16. Debates on here are hindered by wee fannies who argue the opposite for the sake of trying to wind folk up or claim "mock outrage" when a couple of folk agree with a point of view different from their own.
  17. Congrats to Craig Brown but when was Craig Burley a manager? Does the official site mean George Burley?
  18. I doubt others would say Joe Wark cause he was a left back.
  19. I assume the barriers were solely in the East as all the turnstyles are relatively close together which prevents those attending the middle gates to be searched. All the other stands have no more than 2 turnstyles beside one another so folk entering the ground can easily be searched.
  20. Sorry my last post wasn't clear. Its is G4S which covers Fir Park apologies for any confusion I caused. As I said my head isn't working right today.
  21. It is the same company you work for - my head isn't with it today. I take it you've decided not to work the Well games as they are pulling folk in from Edinburgh and a large contingent from Fife to cover Well games as well as folk from parts of deep dark Glesga.
  22. Can't mind the name of the company but they do the stewarding at Parkhead, Ibrox, Douglas Park and at quite a few other grounds. Edit - I think its something like Up Front Security. As a wee aside - perhaps Saturday could be a reaction to Milky and his mates actions the other week at Hamilton in a way to prevent such a thing happening in the East Stand.
  23. Turnstyles are still operated by club but stewarding company control everything inside and outside the ground. An issue with the barries which no one has mentioned is that someone approaching from Taggarts end of the road has to venture onto the road to get to the queue which must be as big if not more of a health and safety risk as letting folk in with a container. Folk coming to the ground has previously been policed lightly by the police as its never really been an issue at Fir Park. With the club looking to reduce Police presence by as much as 75% next season then this is a job which the new mob are enforcing.
  24. Apart from those at the club answering those questions, I doubt many folk on here are knowledgeable enough to reassure you. This place is full of amatuer groundsmen but I doubt we'll get to see what action the club are taking for a good wee while yet.
