  1. It's a difficult one.

It’s not really. Administration was a very dark time for our club and it is highly regrettable that people lost out financially through no fault of their own but this is an entirely different situation altogether. Cardiff have been pleading poverty and delaying payment and we’ve bent over backwards to accommodate them. Now they have gone and signed a ‘big name’ player and agreed to pay him the same amount they owe us every fucking month!!! They are not in administration and are clearly not even as financially fucked as they have been making out all year. They are at it and John Boyle was quite right to piss all over their party yesterday.

Fuck them. They are the thieving gypo’s of British football and have been exposed as such.

  2. Fair enough giving season ticket holders first shout but some people are pretty far flung and aren't able to make a Thursday match without a bit of planning and using up holidays at work.

I'd need to take a day and a half holiday which I did for the Briedablik game. If I do it for this one AND the next one (if we get through) then that's a week out my holidays. I'm skipping this one in the hope that we get through and I can go to the next one.

Canny penalise people who want to be there but just can't.

  3. I am fed fucking up hearing about our cocking pitch. We are unbeaten in the league in 2010, have 18 points from 24 (should have been 20 but for a spastic linesman) and have conceded, what, one goal in 8 matches? Not even the league leaders (who we annihilated 1-1) can boast that yet all we ever read about MFC concerns the fucking pitch.

We know it's shite. Loads of pitches up and down the UK are shite but somebody's has to be the worst and it's ours. I'm not saying the press should ignore it but for fucks sake, a bit of balance eh? There's far more to talk about at our club right now than just a shitey pitch.

  4. ... twelve year auld pals eating Milky Bar Moments.

Are these any good? I'm in the market for a new tea-time treat and am open to suggestions and recommendations.

No really wantin' anything wi' raisins in though.

  5. thank you

and top the person that say am i waiting to see who wins the most trophys, if ur suggesting the old firm, then its not (i have a passionate hatred for them) but i am in talks with a 3rd division team at the moment in time

nothing concrete yet but i can only hope for the best, if not well am going back into refereeing

If I was you I'd wait until I'd started the high school before making great big career decisions like this. Things change, you know.

  6. Three priceless points. Relieved more than anything.

As far as the pitch is concerned, I remember when it was laid someone said that it would take a couple of seasons to knit properly and it would look terrible in January.

  7. A 'mate of a mate' played for Gannon at Stockport and despised the man, as did most of the team, apparently. Said he would be making all these hand signals in the technical area and nobody had a clue what he meant by them. They all just kidded on they understood.

But that's not the point. Like most others I supported what JG was trying to do on the pitch and was prepared to give him a couple of seasons to get it right but there's more to the job than just training and tactics. You have to give respect to earn respect and if you treat people like shite and wage petty, personal vendettas then you are getting a very important part of your job very wrong. Hated throughout the club? Players desperate to leave? Refusing to sign a contract? Does that sound like the new messiah or an arrogant prick?

I'm not suggesting players should be given a cuddle when we get beat but I also fail to see how a demoralised and miserable squad are going to be any use to anybody.

Some on here have suggested that Granpaw Broon might be a soft touch; cutting about handing out the Werthers Originals at training and bouncing the younger guys on his knee. I don't know if he is but I'm as sure as I am that there's a hole in my arse that Erchie Knox is anything but. I think the difference is that they will command the players' respect.

As a wee aside, a mate of mine used to play for plastic whistle under a certain manager who was as famous for his cigars and one-liners as he was for his managerial exploits. At the time they were 3rd division part-timers. My mate was a student and money was tight. One week he didn't get his win bonus (which was in his contract) after a win so he went to see the manager.

"Boss, I didn't get my win bonus in my wages"

    "Aye, that's right son"

    "But we won"

"Aye ye did but yeez were shite so ah'm no gi'en yeez yur bonuses"

    "But it's in ma contract"

"So sue me. Ye canny fuck wi' me son. Fuck wi' me and ye'll never play in this league again."

Does anybody think that's the proper way to treat people? Does fucking people about really inspire them to do their best for you or does it just encourage them to look for another job?
