  1. I think that those travelling to the lovely town of Hamilton on Saturday, should show their appreciation for our neighbours and congratulate them on their fine footballing prowess. We should extoll the virtues of their young stars such is the talented Mr McCarthy and sing his praises throughout the match.

Lets show their supporters (and the watching SFA observer :D ) that we appreciate their brand of football.

Choruses of A.C.C.I.E.S Hamilton Accies are the best, One James McCarthy, Your the pride of Lanarkshire , Oh Hamilton is wonderfull and other such ditties would demonstrate that we are indeed worthy of our fair play place. Whilst reminding our worth opponents that we will be playing European football again next season.

It will also be funny and will confuse those expecting the usual "wrong country" songs.

  2. This should make the last 3 games a wee bit more exciting for us . We need to try and keep the number of yellow cards down and cut out any reds.

Where will we play our home games if Fir Park isn't ready ? and who is going to cancel their holidays ( players and fans ) Aye it exciting times right enough being a well fan

What holidays, I would have to borrow money from a rich relative to be able to afford one.

  3. I'm new to this site ,but an old timer at Fir Park. I wasn't in the Phoenix the night before the match as we were in The AULD ALLIANCE in Paris . There was a decent atmosphere in there from what i can remember ( which isn't much later on that night ) My nephew and his son ( the wee guy about 7 years old that was singing and dancing on the tables ) said it was a fantastic night .

The square was absolutely brilliant , the cheap beer ,wine, the locals and then the march to the stadium. The cops and the teargas nearly wasted what was a fantastic day .

    Let's do it again soon

    That's ma boy !

About time you made it here, Hows things ?

  4. After all of the moaning and complaining about the team recently, I have been looking at the pics and videos of Nancy. Fair cheered me up.

What a trip, the night before the game in the Phoenix, singing, drinking the pubs dry that night then the shops dry the next day. A sea of Claret and Amber in the square, the walk to the stadium, the constant singing throughout the match and after it while we were locked in. McGhee and Leitch's reaction to us after the game.

Magic experience never to be forgotten.

  5. Can anyone remember this ??

He's just told me about a game where Kirky whilst running down the wing past the linesman, with Walter Kidd in close attendance, slapped his own thigh, making a loud slapping noise then held his face as if Kidd had hit him. Kidd got sent off.

  6. Naw he didnae they were all miles offside I remember them. Anyway he should be chuffed, we still go on about Donald Ford scoring in injury time to deprive us of the Texaco Cup in the early 70s.

Edit aye it wis Ford, stoppage time in the 2nd leg of the semi-final, wee Robbo wid know al about that kind of heartbreak right enough

Aye I, mentioned 86 and he nearly started greetin.

  7. Cheers - Like you say - he's perfectly entitled to move.

But on the quiet - We've got several players who are sure they want to wear that claret and amber jersey (hopefully with a hoop). lets give one of them top billing on our web page / email newsletter.

Untill he's made up his mind I'd give the big yin gardening leave. Put meldrum in goal.

From what I could see at the training last friday, we have options in Goal, both of the Polish guys look good, the younger one looked very sharp.

  8. Aw that John Robertson, I thought you meant the chain smoking good player one that played wi' Forest.

He's a wee wank, widnae trust anything he says if he's still claiming he didnae handle that handball goal.

He's here with me just now and has admitted he did use his hand, his version is that a Motherwell defender, possibly Softy, pushed him in the box and as he was falling he swung his arm at the ball, it went in and he couldn't believe the referee gave the goal. He thinks it's hilarious that we are still talking about it.
