Going by what was said on the Radio Clyde interview George Long is the primary goalkeeping target.

I started doing these when they stopped publishing the Scottish Football League Review, so I should have sheets going back till then. My early efforts are on old Excel versions and are quite primitive looking. If you are interested PM me and I'll see what I can do but I need to organise my computer a bit better cos they are all over the place!

Motherwell V The Rangers Spfl Playoff Final 2Nd Leg 31/05/15
Ya Bezzer! replied to Yabba's Turd's topic in Club Chat
I was always consistent. I wanted Rangers in the play off Final because they were a rotten team who had collapsed when the chips were down time and time again. The margin of the victory was greater than I expected but as I said at the time I was pretty confident we could win at Fir Park even if we came into the tie with anything from a 0-1 deficit upwards. -
Been slowly trying to scan my programme collection. Only just started though and there are still many, many boxes.
-
Euro goals aren't a concern next season! I meant league goals of course.
-
If Skippy and Ainsworth leave that leaves us with a top goalscorer last season of 1 goal. Baraclough will have to recruit brilliantly multiple times if we are to avoid a repeat season at the bottom end of the league. That's possible but not probable.
-
Pretty sure Kirk didn't do it without having the figures to hand, off the top of my head I think he only had two seasons in double figures at least in league goals. My guess would be Pat Quinn. EDIT: Willie Pettigrew was before my time, possibly him, didn't realise he was with us for as long as 7 years.
-
Pat Quinn Ian St. John Willie Pettigrew Dixie Deans Wilson Humphreys Five of the greatest players to ever play for Motherwell Football Club. And the only five post war players to score more goals for us than John Sutton. That's how big a gap Sutton is going to leave

Johnson certainly has potential but anyone thinking he's worth half a million....well, I think they run tests before they give you the authority to spend that sort of money! Would be surprised if we make any money on Johnson as experience shows we rarely if ever sell an Englishman back to the English leagues. Any money we make generally comes from our own youth development. Can anyone actually think of an English player we have brought up here and then sold for money? I can't but it is 6.51am.

Thanks. To answer the question, not that I know of. Most away supports are announced at the matches but I don't know of any sites that publish them.
-
My big Rob McKinnon memory is him absolutely leathering a free kick in up at Pittodrie. As mentioned in the podcast, he should have won a lot more caps, a better player than, say, David Robertson.
-
Lee Erwin is going to be 22 next season. He might not have 70 or 80 games under his belt but he's no kid. I've said it before but the older a player gets, the less potential they have, the less appeal they have to buying clubs. Any good young players we bring through should probably be getting moved on around the 21 - 22 age limit if there are buyers out there.
-
Accies have done well by it. As for Erwin, think it's best for both player and club. Would be silly to turn down a three year contract on good money. And Motherwell get a six figure sum for a player with basically about 6 months first team experience. As I said earlier in this thread I'd like to think we would re-invest at least some of the money. £50k, £100k.
-
I think we need to budget for paying transfer fees every season. It doesn't have to be huge amounts of money maybe £50,000 - £100,000 per season. That would enable us to bring in a player with potential every season like we have with Johnson. There is just too much competition for end of contracts as we've seen with Durnan with lots of clubs circling around players who have been identified as being able to step up a level. Of course it's easier said than done to put aside the money but at the end of the day we are primarily a football club and we need to focus on being success on the field and selling players on.
-
It's a market I think we need to be much more active in. Not an Alloa expert by any means but I was really impressed by Daryl Meggatt when I saw him in the play offs. Put in the best goal saving defensive tackle I saw all season and stood out generally. Dundee snapped him up. Will be interesting to see how he does in the top league next season.
-
They don't make defenders like that anymore. Pure granite. Having said that you thought he'd already lost his pace when he came up here.....until he actually lost his pace!

For stattos or anyone interested really. All the results, attendances, scorers, line ups, booking and red cards, referees, weekly league positions, form, player appearances and goals for Motherwell and all the other Premiership and Championship clubs. Also an A-Z player directory for all Premiership and Championship players with date of birth, position, squad numbers, clubs, transfer and loans, season stats and career stats. http://www.filedropper.com/spfl20142015season-excelworksheet Have a few ideas for 2015/16, so I'll try and cram even more information in.

Strachan more or less said he wasn't playing at a high enough level in League 1.
-
He's not allowed to retire until he hits the 500 league appearances.
-
Don't know much about Chalmers except he'd made a handful of appearances in the Celtic team. Don't think he managed a first team appearance this season though. Marcus Fraser has done well leaving Celtic to go to Ross County and I've always liked the look of Jackson Irvine so if Chalmers can make the same kind of impact for us as those players that can only be a good thing.

Is The Play Off Worth A Dvd Fae The Club?
Ya Bezzer! replied to Ocelot Groomin''s topic in Club Chat
This season was quite incredible when you look at it. Most of the top 6 clubs really struggled in the second half of the season. Dundee Utd, Dundee, Hamilton. Kilmarnock who started well went into free fall and even Inverness had a poor spell only winning once between February and May. The way the league finished there were actually two teams in the bottom six with more points than the bottom team in the top six. -
The Current Under 20's Squad - Anyone Looking Like Making The Move Up?
Ya Bezzer! replied to David's topic in Club Chat
David Ferguson wasn't getting a game at Alloa so I doubt he's ready to step up for us. -
I mind someone came on here and said that Baraclough had fallen out with Vigurs due to him being late for training and he'd never play for Motherwell again. Well, Vigurs never played for Motherwell again so maybe there was something in that one...
-
All the incidents that happened in the match made it a better and more exciting spectacle. Fact. The problem with football is so many people are determined to make it as bland as possible and then wonder why the public isn't interested in it any more. At the end of the day no one got really hurt and they were never likely to, provided the two supports were kept separated. As for Lee McCulloch and Lee Erwin, players get much worse injuries, probably every week someone gets stretcher off. Stephen McManus did a lot more damage to Alan Gow a few weeks back than anything that happened at Fir Park at the weekend.
-
I liked Vigurs as well and I'm a bit disappointed he's on the way. However I disagree with you that he would never fit into Baraclough's system. For me, he fits into Baraclough's system more than he did McCall's.
