Well done Motherwell FC. Tremendous statement. With regards Brown, I am not surprised he has moved on as the contract situation never sat comfortably with me. I am astounded however, that at the age of 70, he wants to up sticks, put his reputation on the line and move to the most poisoned club in Scotland. I have no doubt he and Knox will live to regret this. Once again the majority of fans on this board have shown too much faih in our manager and as a result will be hurting today. With me being a cynical c**t, I had my doubts about Brown long time ago, as I did with McGhee & Gannon. The people I feel really sorry for are the players. In my 23 years of watching Motherwell, I have never seen us put in such commited performances week in week out. I imagine many of them had entire faith in Brown & Know and will now be wondering whats the fucking point. It is time to move on however, while Brown & Knox done a great job in stabilising the club in our time of need, I was fucking bored of the fitba. Yes we were great at times but by and large the fitba has been guff despite talents such as Humphrey, Murphy and Blackman. As many have said, exciting times ahead. I love the search for a new manager and can't wait for the Hearts game on Tuesday. One note of cauton however Mr Boyle, stay fucking clear of Scott Leitch. 'Mon the 'Well.

Part of me hopes your source is right. I would be surprised if Aberdeen had the competence to tie up a deal so swiftly though.
-
Derek Adams.
-
Based on my recent jaunt to an Edinburgh derby, I'd have to strongly disagree with that.
-
Pretty much sums up my thoughts. Going a tad further though, I always think that once our manager starts entertaining other offers it is better that they move on sooner rather than later.

I'm delighted Broon is staying but recent events underline the reasons as to why he has never signed a contract. Cleary he still fancies a wee move if the opportunity were to arise. Say a more attractive proposition came in from a well run club like Hibs, would he have moved? Possibly so...

Seems like a lifetime ago to me. We fucked up. Never get a better chance. Losing to Celtic in the League Cup semi leaves a far bigger scar years down the line.

16 team league March to October. Hope the game is off on Saturday. I was looking forward to seeing Killie but you rarely get a good game on the back of the weather fucking up training regimes.
-
Huge credit to Aberdeen for this gesture. It's certainly not a money-spinning decision for them.
-
Good income for Dundee but that will take a significant chunk off our support.
-
Assumed injuries had got the better of him. If he can prove his fitness, he would be a more than competent addition to the majority of squads in the SPL.
-
Good on Refsif they go ahead with this. Recent grief has been out of order.

Swap Gow for Sutton and I'd be quite happy with that team. I'm a fan of Gow but reckon we would benefit from Sutton's presence on Saturday. Bring Gow on to run at them once they begin to tire. Lalsey can't be far away from a comeback eh?

Was trying to think of let backs last night. Crainey didn't do much rong but he has never really impressed me. What's happened to Brian Easton? Thought he looked very accomplished when Hamilton first came up to the SPL.

Probably my favourite days following Motherwell. Absolutely loved that era.

Ignoring the farcical circumstances surrounding this game and thinking about the Motherwell players discussed: Jamie Murphy - His time will come. Assuming he continues to improve and build his strength, he has a very bright future ahead of him. Humphrey - Ivan Sproule type player. Doubt he could ever cut it at International level but will do very nicely for Motherwell. Relatively speaking, Scotland are well off for attack minded players at the moment anyway. Reynolds - has the attributes to at least have the opportunity to prove himself at International level. He strikes me as the type of the player that would improve with better players around him and would relish the big stage. Hammell - Fantastic servant for Motherwell but should have done so much more with his career. At one point he looked like he may be a natural successor to Gary Naysmith but sadly lost his way during his 1st spell at FP. Saunders - great young prospect. Look forward to seeing him playing for the Under 21s and we will see how his career progresses. Given that we have a severe shortage of centre halves at our disposal, he must fancy his chances of one day becoming a Scotland regular. At the same time though, there is always the chance he could go the same way as Willie K.
-
I imagine Saunders is a tad embarrased by this call-up. For the sake of his own career, I hope he is left on the bench.

Words fail me.

While I appreciate Brown's position as an ex-Scotland manager, I think he will be doing Mark Reynolds and the club a disservice if he doesn't speak out this week.
-
Did the whistle go early? Mark Brown seemed to be beaten by a rather tame effort from Saunders.
-
Nervy at the back today and lacked any cohesion going forward. Don't think you can get away with playing a 2 man midfield every week, particularly when the opposition are doubling up on our wide men. Not a great day for the Ref, Craigan or Brown. Important spell coming up between now and Christmas that will more than likely shape our season.
-
Reynolds Good shifts from Blackman and Hammell.
-
I presume you can pay at the gate?
-
If Murphy has a decent game on Saturday he will end up in the squad and deservedly so. Humphrey, plenty ahead of him in the queue. Mark Reynolds, Levein clearly doesn't rate him just like many folk on here. For me, he could easily impress for Scotland.

Aye, good old excuse to save opening a stand.
