  1. Goes against the grain agreeing with you on these board but you are bang on the money.
  2. Hateley was anonymous. Talking about how Saunders and Reynolds played today. I like the pair of them but it's been clear to see in both Euro ties at FP that we have rode our luck and as soon as we came up against quality attackers, it was inevitable we would lose goals.
  3. Obviously came away scunnered but that was a very enjoyable game today. Plenty of spirit from the team and unlucky to come away with nothing. Not seen anything on the tv yet but it looked like a stonewall pen at 2-1 and the Hanlon goal looked very questionable. Meanwhile, we had the chances to wrap up the game in the first half but sadly we are nowhere near as clinical as Hibs. Midfield still doesn't look right to me. Lasley continues to play in a slightly advanced role which he doesn't have vision, touch, awareness or passing ability for. Unless Brown starts to show some faith in Forbes, we need to bring in a creative player that will link the midfield and the attack. If that materialises, then I'd have Lasley alongside Jennings given that Hately continues to disappoint. Delighted by the performance of Humphrey today, if he can keep that form up he will be vital for us this season.
  4. Heard a rumour back in July, that he would need to return to Cyprus for 3 months at some point to do some national service.
  5. Humphrey by some distance for me, Randolph the only other one in contention.
  6. Anybody gave this him a call yet? Strikes me as a hoax this boy.

  8. Been playing out wide to accomodate McBride in the middle. Apparently has a knack of breaking into the box unmarked.
  9. De Graaf will probably be playing wide right for them. Wotherspoon or Riordan on the left if Nish makes it. Key to the game will be Jennings stopping Miller.
  10. I don't think he will have high salary expectations.
  11. Murphy is best playing right up front. I doubt you will see Murphy, Sutton and the 2 new boys all playing at once on a regular basis.
  12. Great to see some activity, now we just have to trust broon's eye for a player. Imagine we will find out today if there are any more pennies to spend.
  13. You can have as many pints as you want if your man fires us into the Group stages.
  14. Aye, Marvyn. I shouldn't know that really.
  15. If Roscoe completes his £1m move to Ipswich, I guess we may well see the cash.
  16. I'd change the team slightly from the one that beat the Norwegians. ................Randolph Saunders Craigan Reynolds Hammell ...........Hateley Jennings ......Humphrey Forbes Sutton ..................Murphy Every so often Hibs come to FP and blow us away. Got a feeling that Sunday will be one of they days. However, if we can win the midfield battle, the Hibs defence is there for the taking.
  17. We need to get away from the obsession of size. If the Morrocan boy is comfortable with the ball at his feet and can start attacks in a similar manner to Hammell, then get him signed up.
  18. I'm all for given youth a chance but we are in desperate need of a couple of players. I rate Murphy extremely highly but he isn't experienced or strong enough yet to hold the ball up the park in the manner Juke did last season. On top of that, we need a bit of creativity from midfield or out wide. While we won 3-0 last week it was clear to see that we are poor at retaining possession. If the money isn't there then fair enough but why weren't we given this message at the start of the summer. Instead, Brown told us that he had offered contarcts to 2 SPL players. Where has that money gone? And what about the 2 or 3 players that were practically lined up should we progress in Europe? Still nothing. I fully appreciate that funds are tighter than ever but if we narrowly miss out on a lucrative windfall from the group stages, then questions must be asked of how the club is being run.
  19. I'll be pretty scunnered if we don't have anybody in before the European deadline. We are 1 or 2 players away from having a team that should be able to give Odense a close run for their money.
  20. Sums things up at the club. Far from inspiring. £100k will come in handy though.
  21. Commsworld was mentioned on FPC a week ago. Doesn't really tie in with Dempster's chat though.
  22. Champions League format these days Finlay.
  23. Interested to see if the club respond to this. The decision completely goes against what they have been bleating out to the fans and media.
  24. Maybe they will save money by not having to open the South Stand?
