  1. While I appreciate Brown's position as an ex-Scotland manager, I think he will be doing Mark Reynolds and the club a disservice if he doesn't speak out this week.

    Offside?

Did the whistle go early? Mark Brown seemed to be beaten by a rather tame effort from Saunders.
  3. Nervy at the back today and lacked any cohesion going forward. Don't think you can get away with playing a 2 man midfield every week, particularly when the opposition are doubling up on our wide men. Not a great day for the Ref, Craigan or Brown. Important spell coming up between now and Christmas that will more than likely shape our season.
  4. Reynolds Good shifts from Blackman and Hammell.
  5. I presume you can pay at the gate?
  6. If Murphy has a decent game on Saturday he will end up in the squad and deservedly so. Humphrey, plenty ahead of him in the queue. Mark Reynolds, Levein clearly doesn't rate him just like many folk on here. For me, he could easily impress for Scotland.
  7. Aye, good old excuse to save opening a stand.
  8. Jeez, McDonalds has been there longer than I would have guessed.
  9. Feel like St Johnstone have humped us more often than not at Fir Park over the years. However they have been struggling a fair bit recently in the absence of Jody Morris. Is he still out? Would be tremendous if we could go to Easter Road on Saturday 14 points ahead of them. Seems too good to be true.
  10. Funny I was googling him yesterday to see where he was training. Bit of an arse but if he is willing to apply himself, he offers ability in an are where we have heehaw.
  11. Yes. Sadly when he was here though he was rarely used in the centre of midfield.
  12. Wasn't at the game on Saturday but this type of result has always been coming. Indeed, i couldn't quite understand the pre-match confidence on here as we were far from impressive against Dundee Utd during the week. Brown has got us set up well and we are working our socks off but I've been saying since pre-season, we lack quality in midfield. Last season we got away with it because Jutkiewicz was sublime holding the ball upfront, this season we have partially got away with it due to the outlets offered by the pace and directness of Humphrey and Murphy. We will do fine this season given the lack of quality throughout the league but results like Saturday will be part and parcel of the season. I just hope we can raise our game against Rangers/Celtic to make it a half decent season.
  13. Accies are no mugs. Absence of Lasley and Murphy is telling.
  14. Few close things by the sounds of it but Sutton has been stuck out wide left and it just sounds like one of these days. Wouldn't be surprised if Accies nabbed a 2nd on the break.
  15. From what I've seen of Accies this season they are not to bad from middle to front. Defence looks pretty woeful though so hopefully the pace of Humphry and Blackman can cause havoc. The absence of Murphy, Lasley and possibly Jennings makes me somehat nervous though. Mensing AGS.
  16. I mind sitting in the South Stand in the Scottish Cup semi a few years back. Decent view obviously but the atmosphere was in stark contrast to what was being generated from behind the goals.
  17. You sure? There was only around 4500 Motherwell fans there that night IIRC.
  18. Pretty gutted with the draw. If we had drawn Celtic we would have had an outside chance. Sadly Rangers are streets ahead of everyone else in Scotland. Even if they don't perform particularly well on the day, they always churn out a result. When the time comes round though we will all believe. Particulary if Murphy and Humphry are on a hot streak.
  19. Glad someone gave Houston pelters. It's disgusting that he and the rest of his mob are allowed anywhere near the national setup. I usually like to see the likes of Dundee Utd build a strong team in order to help challenge the old firm but the sooner Conway, S Robertson & Goodwillie get out of Tannadice the better.
  20. Injury definately due to the way he landed. Probably wasn't the wisest decision to let him back on the park. Fingers crossed for a quick recovery.
  21. See I thought I heard it was Sat, Sun this time round but I'm sure it's been mentioned elsewhere that it is 1st & 2nd of Feb. Would be magic if it was a weekend game. I imagine that would almost double our support. Either way, no January blues this year.
