The quality of footballer in Scotland is absolute shite.
Better coaching for Scchool kids is the only answer eh?
In the short term however, if a chairman of a provincial club has the balls, then the Old firm are there for the taking next season. That would offer a much needed breath of fresh air and entice the crowds back.

Tom Boyd.
Phenomenal.

As I've drunkenly said many a time - with neither of the OF filling the South Stand these days, get work started on removing the top tier! I think it would be a right nice wee stadium if we lost that top tier, and would help the pitch alot
Flame away
Surely we are going to move in the next few years though?

Its only Monday and I can't wait for the fitba on Sat.
The standard of Scottish football has been dire this season but the chase for Europe is making things pretty exciting at the moment.
3 points on Saturday to stay in contention.
4-0 Sheridan, Sutton, Clarky, O'Brien.
-
Daniels it will be then.
I overheard someone in JDs on Sat talking to Colin about tickets for the 28th.
Is it an all-ticket affair?
-
Will there be Scotland tunes?
-
I wasn't keen on the signing of Sheridan but I've ben quite impressed by him so far.
The good thing is we have strong competition in the squad with Clarkson, Murphy, Smith. Lasley and Fitzpatrick all waiting on the wings.
Nice problem for McGhee to have.
-
Definately holding out for a move to Hearts.
Good keeper but Hughes and Klimpl are the priorities.
-
Next week is massive.
Fine result grinded out the day.
Killie have been a jinx recently but overcome that and Europe is within our grasp.
-
Given his injury woes, MacLean was outstanding.
Stef just shades it though. I'll be gutted if we lose him.
-
Crossed my mind last night when I heard about the young player of th emonth.
Fuck the curse - bring on the arabs.
-
I originally thought this was a must-win game but when I look at next weeks fixtures, a draw would not be an absolute nightmare.
Get a win though and we are right in about this race for Europe.
Clarky tends to perform against Dundee United so who do you leave out!? Sheridan or Sutty?
'Mon the 'Well.

Setanta really scraping the bottom of the barrel now.

See if we qualify 4th/5th, are we talking intertoto type dates?
-
Aberdeen and United at FP will be tense affairs.
Take 4 points from 6 out of they two games and we hopefully won't be too far away.
We could do with getting over our Setanta hoodoo at Killie as well.
Interesting times beckon.

Such a depressing thread.

10 team SPL, 2 up, 2 down.
That would give us two decent leagues.
We would obviously have the problem of clubs playing each other 4 times but there is not enough quality for a 16 team league.
10 team league would offer the most excitement.
Given the nature of how the SPL is governed however, no club is going to shoot itself on the foot by reducing the size of the league.

Foran must be a cert to score.
May have a few quid on that!
-
Superb Mark McGhee.
I sense an 'us against them' mentality emerging.
Love it!
-
While I have no time for Rangers I'd love to see Celtic lose the league at FP.
-
Absolutely delighted that the big man is on his way back, fingers crossed he can get an injury free run and fulfil his potential. Really good centre-half on his day.
Bringing him back tomorrow though? Can't help but fear thats a bit of a gamble.
Hopefully it pays off as I see tomorrow as a pivotal moment in our season.
-
Very good shout.
Too much like common sense I suppose.
-
next we'll be told to remain seated in the event we score a goal.
I remember getting told to sit down once when we had a penalty against Rangers.
Fcuk knows why anyone would want to be a Steward.

Mu auld man showed me the way.
January 1989 I believe.
2nil defeat to Aberdeen with Jess and Bett scoring. Although my memory might be playing tricks. I mind my maw had me wrapped up with 2 pairs of trousers on as I was prone to bad asthma as a nipper.
I loved the 'Well from day 1.
