  1. Stop it, you'll make mon_da_well jealous, or is that the plan?

Anyway, get off the fence do you think that Fraser is shite or not?

Mon_da_well doesn't get jealous, he gets angry.

I've said all along he is not shite.

He had a shite spell during the Celtic game, which he didn't concede a goal during, but other than that he's not done anything horrendous that I've seen.

  2. I have posted quite a bit on Fraser and the individual errors I think he has made since he joined us. I've done the same with Ruddy. Don't confuse not wanting to post an 8 game analysis of Frasers career everytime I make a point about him to being vague. I genuinely think from kicking, distribution, coming for crosses, general decision making, and conceeding goals he has made MANY mistakes.

In the interests of being openminded I watched the highlights of the game just there for the first time since being at the game. Fraser imo was poor at every goal. Not solely to blame obviously but certainly played his part.

Fair enough, I just don't recall you backing up the point of him being gash since day one.

He may have been terrible yesterday but I can't comment.

I just think that after the cut-throat reaction by some people to everyone of his performances that there is just some bitterness about the whole thing.

Juke/Porter took about ten games to show that they were any good and folk wanted them hooked. Don't see why Fraser doesn't deserve the same chance.

  3. No I wasn't at the game mate. I live 200 miles away, not that I'd give the Tims any of my hard earned anyway.

As for having a pop at anyone who was at the game ? That certainly was not my motivation or aim. The folks that go week-in week-out have my total respect. Ageism was also not on my agenda. (Please note that much of the vitriol was delivered during and shortly after the match, therefore I'd assume it wasn't from folks who'd been to the game).

I waited a couple of days in order that my post was not a reactionary one. I was simply using the young 'Well strip clad lad in Aberdeen as a metaphor for our Eternal Hope attitude, despite many a disappointment, to following the 'Well.

Great post by Eddie, probably his best ever imho, portraying a very balanced counter to my original words.

    Agreed, two good posts.

  4. Remember when you changed your name to Motherwell Football Club, you came on here and said you'd met some of the players at the cinema or something. They spoke to you and when you were walking away you heard one call you a gimp, that wasn't John Ruddy was it???

:lol:

John Ruddy wasn't even there pal :P

  5. Goals aside he has been extremely shaky in all other areas of his game pretty much since day one and in every game. he has played for us.

I didn't think he was 'shaky' what-so-ever in the european games. Lost two goals down to comedy marking and dealt with everything else, bar one shot in the first game, with ease. Was solid in the game against Accies losing goals due to our defenders pushing to seal victory and against showing comedy marking.

Was solid again when he came on for Ruddy the other week.

Granted he had a dodgy spell once Craigan went off last week and I've not had the luxury of seeing yesterdays game.

Somehow, I think you've got the blinkers on.

  6. Aye, but I thought we wouldn't lose 3-0 with Ruddy in goal, against ten men... but then again - I didn't expect Ruddy to get an assist in that match ^_^

    There's nae point in arguing.

But thats what makes it fun

Any goalkeeper who made a 'gaffe' like that of which led to the first goal, would struggle to have any confidence for the remainder of the match. It's happened to Ruddy too, but that golden boy wasn't lynched for some reason.

  7. Humphrey isn't a right back than to the pitch (ie, he shouldn't have been bloody playing there in the first place!!)

He is a professional footballer, he plays where he's telt.

Was outstanding in at wingback against Celtic in the bounce game.

  8. MFDL says

Many harsh comments on Fraser to actually what happened.

1st Goal. Harsh on Fraser. Did the right thing by taking a touch (especially on a pitch like ours), just a shame he lost his footing - could have happened to any keeper. Hell one of the best conceded a lot worse one a few weeks ago against Getafe.

2nd goal. Where to start? Poor pass back by Reynolds, not the greatest return but does Reynolds know he has a right foot? Oh yeah, he does, he used it to have a shot at goal not long before it. So why the fuck did he choose to try and control with the outside of his left foot? As for the corner - I guess it's Fraser's fault Daly was given 15 yards and enough time to do about 100 keep-uppies before he had to have a shot on goal

3rd goal. There is no camera view from what Fraser seen but it is probably the one he'll be angry about the most.

    Good post.

Only seen the goals on SSN as I was too busy to attend the game.

Think thats the first time our pitch has came back to haunt us this season.

  9. It's blatantly obvious that NealeMFC was comparing a fully fit John Ruddy with a fully fit Michael Fraser.

You've either totally missed the gist of the majority of posts on this thread or you're trying to be a smartarse and failing badly.

Take a day off wee man.

A fully match sharp Michael Fraser wouldn't have made those 'errors' either.

    See what I did there.

Also, poor use of a double negative.

  10. This threads bullshit! because people went to parkhead that makes them better than anyone else? Suck my balls!!

If your going to parkhead then you mustve sat at peace and not opened your mouth! Otherwise youd be on here moaning you got chucked out!

    Fukcing off your high horses!

I've never seen anyone thrown out for supporting Motherwell.

  11. I never said he helped us get all the points against celtic, but I know for a fact ruddy would have commanded his box a lot better than fraser, and would have either went for the ball at the second or stayed on his line instead of running out and stopping in no mans land!

    With one fully functioning leg.

Now that would have been impressive.

  12. Ruddy wouldve saved the two celtic goals with ease! Second one, fraser ran out stopped and froze and let the tim head into the middle of the goals. Good shot stopper? maybe, but catching a ball? shite!

That's how Ruddy has helped us get all those points against Celtic before.

  13. I can guarantee that he saved two and one hit off of reynolds. Thats what made Ruddys second save all the more amazing.

motherwellfootballclub- why dont you just go up to ruddy and tell him how you feel? because there is obviously not one good word you can say about the guy even though he has saved us plenty of times this season, 15 clean sheets, plus points gained at hamilton away, dundee united home and aberdeen at home, i make that 30 odd points which means we would be well on our way to div 1 without him!

Learn to read ya fucking hypocrite.

Don't see you posting in all the other threads telling each person who shows a negative view about a player to go and tell them to there face.

I have never said that I don't think Ruddy is a fantastic 'keeper. I have never said he isn't the best 'keeper at the club at the moment. I have said plenty of good things about him, I just keep an unbiased view. I'm fortunate enough not to own claret and amber tinted glasses.

  14. Yeah, he's well thought of up north by the fans of the 1st Division club...

Yeah, a first division club. I mean, they only plumeted down the table after dropping Fraser because of his pre-contract.

Even though he was surrounded by shite he still managed to be on the winning side against Celtic.

  15. My mind is hazy from the goals at the 6-1 game, but you must be talking about Boyd's goal there? There's no way even you, with your innate dislike of Ruddy, will blame him for Reynolds just standing there in the 1-1 game?

I don't have a dislike of Ruddy. I just hate that people see no faults in the guy.

That is the one I'm talking about Neil. It was a ball into the six yard box, and in-swinger none the less. Similar to the ball im that Fraser came and punched against Celtic. It wasn't a great punch but we didn't concede a goal from it.

Ruddy is good at commanding his box but he is not as great as some folk make out. He makes plenty of errors which seem to be glossed over.

Fraser is not absolutely amazing by any standard but is more than adequete for SPL level.
