Hutch for me. Agreat game against very experienced opposition.

No matter what we say Jim Gannon is going to decide if he stays or not. Gannon played in a similar position and I think he will move to replace Craggs very soon as he appears to like a bit of youth about. My personal opinion is that his best days are behind him as far as pace is concerned but still reads the game well and can make some good tackles although is never forceful enough for me.

Back on thread we can do it if we set our minds and hearts to it, and if the headhunters among our fans can keep it down when things are not so good. Those young guys ran their heart out tonight for the club and they deserve 100% backing from all of us.

Perhaps the point is we are ashamed of what happened in Wales after our good display in Nancy and some on here are uncomfortable with it being "splashed".

We need to dig deep and settle for this or we are going to lose another

Have to miss this one unfortunately, so give it laldy in my absence please.

The youth at the club must have been one of the things spoken about in any interview between the manager and chairman. Surely Gannon must bring in players to compliment them and selling is not an option.

Any dossers know of a good pub in Oban that would show the game?
-
First impression is positive from my point of view. Hope he gets all the backing he needs, and time to show us what he is about. I am feeling quite enthusiastic about this new management team and hope they can persuade some players to stay and freshen us up with a few new faces

No sign of mine despite being asked if i wanted recorded delivery. Ordered before Killie Game

Is there such a man out there ?
Lets face it, any manager who does a decent job at Motherwell will always attract interest from elsewhere, its that kind of show. He's damned if he fails and he's damned if he succeeds............ and we're damned either way
As I said in another thread I would like to see us pull out all the stops and attract Gary McAllister back to the club where it all started for him. I also feel he would attract players to the club that others might not.
We dont need a Jocky Scott, Jim Duffy etc etc.

Mowbray to Celtic
McGhee to Dons
'Well in deep shit.
If we do not pull out all the stops to get Gary McAllister we could be struggling when the season starts. Players won't want to stay and some will follow McGhee. We need someone who will attract players.

There are a few older team and individual photgraphs on the walls of the Fir Park Club and I am sure if they were approached in the correct manner would allow these to be copied.

A big thanks to all for representing the club so well. Keep up the good work.

Old Tommy stepped off the bus and into the drink before the cup-tie in '91.
I remember the night well and it was after the game and the fog had came down pretty quick. Tommy was walking down the side of our bus looking for his own bus and walked right off the end of the dock. A young cop jumped in and while he was getting Tommy to the side you could hear tommy shouting "get ma bunnet" - hilarious at the time. An overnight in Inverclyde Hospital and Tam was back on the Saturday sellin programmes.

If by class act you mean he strolls about ineffectually for bulk of game then you'd be right. Hughes this season has almost turned into a Brian Kerr clone.
Was probably far from his worst game on saturday Hughes but other than a shot pulled wide and being unlucky to see a headed effort late on hit the bar what exactly did he do that was so great. I don't recall seeing him demanding the ball, spraying the passes about or creating much?
The fact that you thought he hit the bar with a header sums up your post. Hughes was the only forward thinking midfielder on Sat and was not assisted at all by Klimple or the 2 "wing men". Hughes will do the business again but I would not blame him for leaving because of McGhees negative approach and playing far too many defensive minded players.

The Foghorn will be back next season annoying all in front as usual. Our tickets are still VFM when compared to other clubs of similar size, it's the product that is not. Pound for pound there are many other forms of entertainment which beat football, but we come back because it's in our heart and for me it's the perfect release after a hard week at work.

"Super" as he was known to the squad was a fine footballer and a gentleman. He will be sadly missed.
