  1. Any idea why we weren’t sporting black armbands yesterday in memory of Bobby Graham.
  2. Very sad to hear that Bobby Graham has passed away. A truly fantastic player and the partnership that he had with Willie Pettigrew was just legendary. I began watching the ‘Well about 1967 and Bobby was without any doubt the best centre-forward I ever saw. Sincere condolences to Bobby’s family at a sad time. RIP Bobby.
  3. And exactly how many times did he play against us that warrants this judgment? 😵‍💫
  4. This from club website on 16th July: Jordan McGhee is set to spend 6 to 8 weeks on the sidelines with a thigh injury. He picked up the injury ahead of the first match against Clyde in the Premier Sports Cup. He has begun his rehabilitation and we look forward to welcoming him back into the squad. Jens Berthel said “It’s very unfortunate that we lose Jordan for this period of time. He’s made a very good impression in my time here. He brings experience and versatility to the squad, so he will be missed. However, he is already on the road to recovery and we look forward to him getting back soon.”
  5. Thought we might have been interested in Shamal George. Was at Livingston and now at St Mirren. What’s happened to Jordan McGhee?
  6. Wee Dougie Arnott had this off to an art form. 😂
  7. It’s a great watch when we go forward and we boss the opposition around but our inability to defend is killing all the good play. The goalkeeping position is a problem - both first team candidates are unreliable. Central defence is also a serious issue. None of the players we have for these positions are any good. Having attacking fullbacks is all very well but when we lose possession we are wide open on both flanks. We need a holding player in the midfield to give the central defence protection if and when the opposition counters. These aren’t insurmountable problems but they do need to be addressed quickly.
  8. Right up their with John Gardner!!
  9. We should treat Stuart Kettlewell the same as we would any other visiting manager - ignore him. We’ve moved on and have a much better manager now. As for Saturday’s game, I think it’s odds-on Kilmarnock will come and sit in and try to catch us on the break. I think our new way of playing is going to be best suited to away games, where the onus is on the home team to go forward and try to win. Like Hearts last week, it lets us exploit the space after turning over possession. Be interesting to see how we approach Saturday’s game. Hoping for a right good performance and a win. COYW.
  10. Just was a joy to watch. Hearts just couldn’t handle him. He reminded me of Vic Davidson in the way he slalomed past defenders. Hope we can hold onto him.
  11. For over an hour we were by far the best team and played Hearts off the park. Became too cavalier and should’ve put Halliday on after we went 3-0. Manager needs to learn how and when to close a game down. Still would’ve taken a point from here beforehand.
  12. Not if they’ve been tuning into this site.
  13. He was far too greedy with the ball and when he did opt to pass, was too sloppy and rarely found a ‘Well player.
