Agree with that's well re Lesley what other team has these stalwarts playing week in week out (barring Clint Hill and Aaron Hughes!)
-
It's not just McGhee though.
You can trace the beginning of a lot of our problems back to the signing of McManus!
-
Future is looking good though we have a 13 goal swing compared to the under 20s :-)
I keep saying time and time and time again how can we continue with the amount of goals we lose and never ever change the defence, McManus is far too slow for this level of football. Hammell is done. Two mainstays who we should have been replaced adequately with many opportunities to do so.

Samson
Tait McManus Heneghan Hammell
McHugh Lasley
Cadden Pearson Ainsworth
Moult
That be no bad I reckon!

Got to like Kidderminster........

It's basically the teams who are represented in the working group. The Falkirk (Forth Valley) rep is now working for Rangers, however.
Something I did see in the Malky MacKay press conference today was talk of the 'most successfully academies of recent times' being the one's that were funded moving forward. I am paraphrasing but that was the jist. Read into that what you will but taking that and the fact they will need a geographical spread it's going to be hard to be included...
A Dundee club will be included undoubtedly as well. I fancy our chances over Hamilton though despite them being in the working group.

Anyone got a contact for Well Society? Not been receiving any correspondence so I emailed them 2 days ago and still no response. Poor show and not good when trying to encourage people to join.
Three times I've emailed them about my change of bank details. Not a peep. So they've stopped collecting my money.

I slaughtered the McManus new contract, but this forum new best. Same every season. Look at the stats. I wonder which rose tinted fanny will pop up next to back up this imposter.

Thanks Andy; I remember that game now but I think I had blanked it before!
-
Out with my pal. Can't remember the last 0-0 we had previous to this one, anyone shed any light?

Craig Slater must be very highly rated, that is why he is with Colchester!!!!
Who are a tier above where most of our players come from.
-
Ah, I just think the seagulls put us off. I know they distracted the hell out of me on YouTube
Certainly did; but they got closer to the cross balls than our defence did.......
-
Also to add for those who would like to disagree; 63 goals lost in last two seasons. 3rd worst defence last year; 2nd worst the year before. This is an area requiring forward progression. McManus is not forward progression.

Well we've had five positives for McManus staying, I am all for positivity but I'm really disappointed in this news. I really believe that McManus will rapidly decline in forthcoming years due to lack of pace. I expected also more from him as a leader; we lose a lot of goals and so I don't see this as a positive step. It's a lazy - stick with what we have step. Either someone new or Laing or Kennedy to progress. From previous posts you can tell I'm not a Hall fan either. I would personally be investing in a new recruit in this area.

Ok tin hat on, I think Ben Hall is very poor and at this stage shouldn't be in our first team. If we are looking for raw ability in this position I think we should be playing Laing. It doesn't seem to be allowed though to say a young player isn't good enough but he isn't from what I've seen.

Did Luke Watt vote for Luke Watt
Did Joe Chalmers vote for Joe Chalmers
Welcome to the forum boys!

Understand what was said re Hollis v Neilson but for me he was far too flappy, (remember the game v St Johnstone?). Even in his 'good' games on Youtube for the Faroe Islands he gets away with absolute murder!
Glad he's gone but wish him nothing but the best. It won't come back to haunt us this time.

Dreadful? I thought it was a Triumph...
I can't think of anything funny here, I'll ask my father......gie us a Honda?

Well society on twitter just posted about a Faddy return. Anyone know what thats about? Is he coming back?
Aye he's coming back. In Blue and White.

I get what you mean about having 5 players fighting for the jersey but none of them are good enough.
If we want to avoid relegation we need better defenders, is he worth a punt in this case - definitely.
He's pretty solid and we lose a lot of goals from this area from free crosses.
Get the other RB's barring Ferguson(who is a left back anyway) away to feck in the summer or sooner.
We may get lucky here and get a 1 in and 1 out scenario in this window. Similar to Gunnar hopefully.

The only part I'd disagree with would be Josh Law, who has impressed me more with every passing game since McCall left. Having said that, if you'd asked me a month or two ago I'd have fired him from a cannon.
Firing a Motherwell player from a cannon. I hope you don't have a target in mind because it will surely miss.

But small teams take points against big teams, and to get nothing from these games brings us deeper into the mire.
