I'm not totally sure thats the kind of fan thelip69 was talking about. I don't think there many like the ones you describe (although I'm sure theres a few), it's just a large chunk of our support aren't as interested in the daily runnings of the club as others. I've got some pals that go to more games than me and have supported Motherwell longer than me and they really don't give a fuck about much beyond what happens on the pitch. Try telling them they have no particular attachment to the club. I sometimes wonder if I'd care as much about the wee details either if it wasny for this forum.

Granted it's not his ideal position but I remember a few previous managers talking about his versatility. Gannon actually said he could do a job anywhere on the park. Obviously it takes players a wee while to settle in but I'm surprised he's been this poor.

Agreed, I think that's a great response when you consider the difficulty in reaching out to the fans.

Got to agree with everything that's been said. Randolph has saved us an absolute shitload of points this season. Yesterday a point in case. I think credit has also to be given to the guys in front of him as well as the defensive hard graft shown in the midfield.

You're right there although I'm not to sure anyone is saying everything is brilliant. A bit of tentative optimism after some good individual performances is all thats going on I think. The two wins have lightened the mood here but they might also turn out to be as meaningful as the pumping by rangers in terms of where we end up at the end of the season. It's just nice to be in a position where it seems the rest season might not be a total write off.

I know this probably isn't worth a whole new thread but I thought after the transfer window panic it's worthwhile acknowledging that McCall seems to have done pretty well. 3 signing and all of them seem to be more than capable of holding a place in the first team. Going through the man of the match threads on here also says a lot, think at least one of the new signings has won it or been second in the votes every week. Definately guys that seem capable of influencing a game, and not a wasted wage in sight! Granted they are all on short term contacts but we were never in a position to be fussy at the end of December. Those three signings might have just about saved our season.

Didn't see the game today but if thats true then I'm very surprised. Think about the semi final and the kilmarnock game, aye we got beat but two things that certainly weren't lacking were fight and spirit. I do wonder what went wrong today.
