I can actually watch the remainder of this game in a relaxed frame of mind :-)
-
Good finish from Lang to be fair
-
They have had the 2 best chances in the game. This is utter garbage Grimshaw had the chance to show he is worth a place in the team but I would not play him in the ladies team
-
I am going to ask the bookies what are the odds for a team to put in 1000 crosses in to the box and not lol like doing fuck all with them. We are either up against the best defences in the world or..... Crosses come into our box and almost 1 in 3 result in a chance. We have been bang average and Grimmy is an imposter.
-
It genuinely looks as if we could play till 2050 and not score. Everytime we get in the box it is a tame shot or straight at the keeper
-
It is easy to see why we have been struggling, We cannot string any passes together or settle into the game. And yes it is fkin dark out there ? Edit to add - also easy to see so far why Grimmy has not been playing. He almost always chooses wrong option.
-
Where is the fun in that....... According to reports this morning a fee has still to be agreed. No-one knows what stage the transfer is at apart from a few people at Motherwell and Celtic and I suspect after last time no-one will want to confirm anything until deal is signed after and more importantly he passes a medical. I know we are biased but I am gobsmacked there is not a Q of teams looking at DT. For the time being it is coming across that Celtic appears his and our only option. If that is the case they are sure to try and offer less than last time around. I think he is worth more but as people always rightly point out. He is only worth what a club is willing to pay. It is worth noting that Aston Villa only paid circa £2m-£2.5m for John McGinn only a couple of years ago. On that basis £3m + add ons would be acceptable. If Celtic offer anything under £3m as an up front payment I would tell them to go away. The transfer window still has a 6 or so weeks to run.
-
At this rate we would become the new Dundee United - £6-7m + in the bank and no team on the park. Relegation would become a much more likely scenario. Even with Turnbull, Campbell and Polworth we are joint bottom. With the Old firm and Aberdeen as 3 of our next 4 games I expect we will be bottom come the end of the 1st round of fixtures.
-
I have read £2.75m + £250k x 2 in add ons. So potentially £3.25m v £3.5m last time around. If we get a couple of players on loan into the bargain then that could explain the £250k less. But why the fuck do we need 2 more midfielders. We need strikers that can score goals FFS.
-
Which means a) He is away b) It is to Celtic Good luck to him but a sore one seeing him in a Celtic strip and playing against us :-(
-
It would be good if the club could come out and advise what our options are for those who have a season ticket or not. Only a few days away from the game so some like myself would be considering signing up to Premier Sports for a month or will we get a free link / stream if we have a season ticket ?
-
We have the luxury of 2 years left on his contract so I doubt the club will accept anything less than was on offer last time around. If we got offered £2m same as Lyndon Dykes that would be a firm no. He is only just getting back to full fitness and one would hope he would start adding goals and attracting even more interest up to the next transfer window. Our preference would be for him to go south and not play against us but whether any clubs are serious or not. Newcastle would be an awesome move but one wonders if it would impact future sell on clause. If he moves to Celtic is he likely to do a Scott Brown and stay there the rest of his days.
-
Saw that. Always likely once he proved his fitness. I suspect growing interest from supposedly Newcastle and other clubs means they could not wait too long. If it is for similar sum £3m then I still think that is a snip given other players valuations. Still if no one else wants to offer more and he does not want to go to say Newcastle then not much we can do. I would be hoping he would play v Glentoran at least but who knows if this story is even accurate ?
-
That would be disappointing if we are forced to pay to watch the game on top of season ticket. If I recall part of the Season ticket offering was entry to a Europa league game or I assume free streaming to watch the game.

Posted on P&B. Quite telling and shows that Robbo should be under pressure. This is the 2020 table. We have gone from 3rd in form team over 2019 to 3rd worst in 2020 ! Not easy getting decent strikers but our goals against and goals for shows where our troubles lie if there was any doubt. Not conceding that many but hardly scoring.

Season 2020’21: Game 5 Hamilton Accies (H)
Welldaft Mk1 replied to texanwellfan's topic in Club Chat
Well he can go and take the rest of the under-performers with him if that is remotely true. Whether you like or agree with the Manager he is the boss and for the most part a good one at that. Robbo has claimed he has not berated anyone publicly, but in a round about way he has. Even saying today the subs he made - made no difference. Harsh but true. What he has said that is true is that this club has been good to a lot of players. Stuck by them when injured. Given them a platform to perform. Sold on many players and given them massive career and earnings boost. If they can’t take a little criticism then maybe they should fkin start playing like they care as we all know they are capable of more. -
Lose to Glentoran and he should fall on his sword. That said this is a Manager that helped us avoid relegation when he took over. Got us to 2 cup finals in a season for only the second time in our entire history. Got us finishing 3rd when there were 4 or 5 teams with bigger budgets. No one argued much when we retained Watt and re-signed Long. Bringing back Hastie seemed like a decent option. And White for all he has been average was ICT top goalscorer for a couple of seasons. I am not ashamed to admit I am a big Robbo fan. I think he as done a good job up until this year. I would be sorry to see him go but the forward players need to understand they are in the last chance saloon. No-one underperforming for us will get a better move. I know it is a parallel universes but I see some goals being scored / conceded and we have not had that kind of luck. Shots bouncing around and going in of a deflection or own goal. We have carried fuck all luck. Yes you make your own but not much has gone in our favour so far.

Season 2020’21: Game 5 Hamilton Accies (H)
Welldaft Mk1 replied to texanwellfan's topic in Club Chat
Well we did not have Turnbull for all of last season and still finished 3rd. In many ways if we sell him may save our season. As we could maybe afford to try and bring in a few players up front that are better than what we have at the moment. And for those that say Accies let us have the ball. Do us a favour. Is that actually a tactic. If they were any good or better than us they would have had 70% possession. Most teams know giving teams that amount of possession usually results in losing a game. Really angry after that today. Players up front need a kick in the haw maws. Something needs to change and fast. Surely Robinson’s lad must be better than Hylton and Hastie ? -

Cmon Dave Accies were woeful. It was one way traffic for 80% of three game. Problem is we have no attacking threat and are always liable to concede and with that fantastic combination we are sitting bottom of the league pretty much ! -

Actually we deserved 3 points and like all the games before this season were the better team for the most part. But we have nothing up front or out wide and so we can play all fkin year long like that and we will still lose most games. Top 6 - like most starting to believe we are already in a relegation battle. One we are probably ill equipped to win. -

70% possession and double figure shots. I should be happy with such dominance but actually is is painful. You can understand a one off game with such stats but all of our games and we are not scoring. We have defence and midfield sorted but a mile away up front. White is a poor mans Higdon. The fact he is playing ahead of Long and Watt says all we need to know. -

So we have had 66% possession and 5 times as many shots at goal - sound familiar. Like every game so far this season. We need to get our act together in final 3rd. like Groundhog Day..... -
Season 2020’21: Game 5 Hamilton Accies (H)
Welldaft Mk1 replied to texanwellfan's topic in Club Chat
I am always one to throw caution to the wind and not tempt fate. But cmon Dave. We dominated Hibs at Easter Rd. Dominated possession in every game so far. There is no chance Accies will dominate the game. They may score and we may miss a whole load of chances but no way they will dominate this game. -
I did say that. But what is not clear is if it is simple as the club streaming the game. The deal we have with Sky / SPFL is completely separate from a Europa League game under UEFA. It may be simple as UEFA have stated no fans attend even if local Gov allows. Point is no one knows as yet.
-
Will be interesting to see what the club do. As it is a UEFA competition then I am quite sure there will be stringent rules around broadcasting. If Glentoran win though there may be enough interest from a Premier Sports but I doubt BT would be interested. BBC Iplayer I believe is playing the game tonight so may be similar next week. However part of season ticket offering was free entry to 1st Europa game. So if it club streamed the game we would get for free but if not then does that carry over to next round and we may draw Spurs. In which case BT would probably show the game. Q remains will we get a European game as part of season ticket money. I am not overly bothered myself but there must come a time where it becomes a real issue for the club and more so fans. Season ticket works out on ave £18 per game v £12 for streaming ! The more games we miss the more the club will have to consider refund. And probably hope again that most season ticket holders do not request any refund. Interesting and frustrating times !
