  1. Yes!!! I love Mike McCurry! gives us someone to shout at during the match when he makes his usual glaring errors.
  2. Not sure that will be an issue. here is how it stands right now... Click and scroll down a wee bit. Now, the only way it will finish level on points is if we draw with st mirren, and hibs lose to rangers. if that happens, then in order for the goal difference to be the same then rangers would need to have beaten them 4-0 and for us to draw 0-0. If we are then the same points, same goal diffirence then it would go to goals scored (i believe). If thats the case then it would depend on the scores on the final day. so if we drew 0-0 and hibs lose 4-0 then we both have the same goals for and goals against ( 36 / 42 ). If however, they lose 4-0 and we draw 1-1, then we would have scored more goals, sowe would get the 6th place. Next it would then come down to number of games won. We would then be above them as we would have won 11 games, and they would have won 10. A string of specific events and "if's" would need to happen for that to be an issue. I think it will most likley be decided on points.
  3. Our home record againt St Mirren hasn't been overly impressive though... 2000/2001 Wed 29 Nov Motherwell 2 - 0 St. Mirren 2000/2001 Sun 20 May Motherwell 3 - 3 St. Mirren 2006/2007 Sat 04 Nov Motherwell 0 - 0 St. Mirren 2006/2007 Sat 12 May Motherwell 2 - 3 St. Mirren 2007/2008 Sat 03 Nov Motherwell 1 - 1 St. Mirren 2008/2009 Sat 27 Sep Motherwell 2 - 1 St. Mirren 2008/2009 Sat 07 Feb Motherwell 1 - 1 St. Mirren (stats from footie mad) so out of our last seven home games against them, we have only won two.
  4. Just to sumerise what MM said... George peat, yer a w4nk.
  5. LOL! I am sure I don't know what you mean .... I blame EastStandWellFan....
  6. I actually like sitting in the east stand. the old knees and back don't like me to stand up still for too long! folks should have a choice though.

    Canterbury

just to be a pain here, but I actually quite like the canterbury gear. Other than the big "murray" logo, I think the scotland rugby strip is quite good. The look and quality feel of the Dalziel rugby top is good too. not aware of seeing any others though. I understand where folks are coming from about wanting to go back to the traditional styles, but just because a design isn;t traditional, doesn't mean its not nice.
  8. Didn't he play in midfield for a couple of games the last time he was here? I seem to remember him and paterson swapping positions for a a game or two.
  9. Don;t think McGhee would agree with that. I remember MM saying that he believed that if the footie coach that Jim had when he was ten came to see him now, he would instantly recognise the same way he played. Even Jim admitted that he has come on leaps and bounds since being coached at FP. Glad to see him doing so well recently though.
  10. I was going to go to this game, with it just being 20 mins from me, but this has kind of put me off. oh well, thats an extra purple drinking token for me on saturday!

    Fixtures

just looked at the fixtures and done a guess on how I think the results will go then added up the points. Here are my thoughts on how i think the results will go... 21st march Hibs v Dons - Draw Kille v Well - Well Win Gers v Hearts - Gers win 22nd March UTD v Celt - Celt win 4th April UTD v Hibs - Hibs Win Hearts v Killie - Hearts win Well v Dons - Draw 11th April Dons V ICT - Dons win Hamilton V Utd - Utd Win Hearts v Celt - Celt win 13th April buddies v hibs - hibs win 18th April Celt V dons - Celt win UTD v Killie - UTD win Bairns V Hearts - Hearts win Well V Buddies - Well win 19th April Hibs v Gers - Gers win Now if all that happens, that would mean that the teams would be like this... 3rd - Hearts -54 4th - UTD - 49 5th - Dons - 48 6th - Well/Hibs - 46 - would need to look at goal difference.
  13. I reckon the NOTW uses the news generator app that runs in Footie manager.
  14. Sake.... Never mind all that - Just spotted the other thread with all that on it already. doh!
  15. Link to the Interview - Fitzy Although in the gumf below the video it says " Motherwell defender Marc Fitzpatrick" oh 'well.

    Sad News

Sad news indeed. thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
  19. It would also take a bit of time to organise. I don't think the project could be set up and running with all workers / machinary / parts and whatever else put in place in such a small timescale.
  20. Not a pay at the gate then?
  21. Bert, don't both teams need to agree on prices? I don't think that "We" made them pay anything their own club didn't agree to. Would be good to see a big price drop. if its a tenner I will go, but any more than that and I think its a jaunt to the pub instead.
  22. that was just an epic night. I remember getting such a rush of blood to my head that I couldn't see, almost passed out and just about fell over the railing at the front of the upper tier. good times!
  23. Thats all well and good, but wait till they try to take the ball round Klimpl. He would flatten them!
  24. Me personaly, no. but as I said in an earlier post, it doesn't affect me personally so I wasn't looking for it. I can see both sides to this, I do think though that if the clubs conditions of sale indicate that no refunds will be given then that to me is absolutley fine and folk shouldn't be looking for a refund, and the club should be applauded for helping those who have asked for a refund earlier. If they don't OR IF as others have said that there was a statement on the official site, or even people being told verbally on the phone that they could return them for a "few days" after the game then I feel that it should be honoured for those people. I think the only way to clear it up is for the T's and C's to be made readily available for anyone who wants to review them.
  25. Kmcalpin - I think - and I could be worng - that the issue here isn't so much that the club tried and it backfired, but the fact that they said they would refund "for a few days after" then changed their mind without announcing it. I am sure if they said something along the lines of 'although we know we don't have to offer a refund, we will for anyone who can make it to the club by 4:30 on tuesday the 3rd' now, I know that would probably still annoy some folk as the old "but I live x miles away and someone who lives closer gets the benefit and i don't" brigade would come out, but it would at least be consistent.
