Right, the best way to get over a poor display and hammering by one half of the old firm is to immediately look forward to the next game. We still sit third in the SPL table, with a healthy four point lead over our nearest rivals (even if they have a game in hand) so it's not all bad news. How do we go about business next Saturday? Hopefully we'll see us back to our attacking best, and we may even have Omar available if his paperwork is sorted out in time. Let's get back on track!

I'm not bothered by the results in these games, as we don't expect to win, I'm more bothered by the way we go about playing against the Old Firm.

It's this part which bothers me the most. We never expect to take anything away from the Old Firm, but when punters are paying up that kind of money, not including travel and suchlike, the least they can expect is their team to go out there and give it a go. Disappointing

I don't think anyone really expected us to be winning the game, but a few of us would like to have seen us at least go into the game looking to compete. We've done nothing of the sort today, and look as though we could play until midnight and not even get close to scoring. Hopefully the 2nd half sees a change in our approach, even if it's just for the poor sods who paid good money to watch the game.

You think it looks as though Celtic have stepped up their game here? It looks to me as though they've been cruising since the first whistle. We've caused them virtually no problems at all.

We just need to hope this doesn't end up being embarrassing.

Exactly. Any realistic 'Well fan will know that we're unlikely to take anything, and would more than likely appreciate a positive performance, even if it results in a loss. If we go at them I think we'll maybe manage to scrape a draw. If we try and defend we'll get thumped 3-0 or so.

Good. Until we see some of those who actually commit violence outside the grounds dealt with I'd hope that a kid with a sign would get nothing more than a telling off.

Defending against them isn't really an option. The only question such tactics raise is how long it'll take them to score. I'd rather we played our usualy game, which of course means keeping it tight at the back as well, but our strength lies in our attack and midfield this season, which works perfectly as their defence is terrible. We should play our usual game and try to take something from the match. If we lose, then at least we gave it a bash. Points against the Old Firm, especially on their own patch, are always a bonus rather than to be expected.

You could have waited until after the Scotland games to post then.

I know we have the international break to look forward to first, but I figured we could get the thread started anyway. I don't think I ever go into an away game against either of the Old Firm expecting to take anything from the it, but I always have a wee glimmer of hope that we can if the circumstances are just right. Those circumstances in this instance involve Daniel Majstorovic. If this lump is playing I fancy us to nick at least one goal as our forwards are on fire at the moment. As far as I'm aware he still plays for Sweden, so here's hoping he doesn't pick up any knocks between now and the 10th of next month
