  1. Agree to an extent with what you're saying but where are you getting the £300k from?
  2. Complete and utter pish. So many holes in that statement but to pick one - comparing Faddy missing the flight home after a friendly tournament in Hong Kong, to Ferguson's when he was Scotland captain, is at best ignorant and at worst fucking moronic. Also quite intrigued about the reasoning for taking Ferguson in a heartbeat - has the six appearances he's made in England's League Two for Fleetwood Town this season impressed you that much? Final point - someone who knows the rules better than i do might be able to clear this up but since he's already played for Blackpool and Fleetwood, does that not prevent him from playing for another club this season? In which case, Sevco are welcome to him next summer.
  3. Nope, never met the guy in my life but his behaviour when he was Scotland captain provides enough evidence to suggest that he is indeed a wank. On his day, he was a very good player but he's 34 and currently playing in the fourth tier of English football - I'm all for improving our squad but would much prefer it if we spent what limited cash we have elsewhere.
  4. Because he's a wee wank. Zero leadership apart from when he's persuading his team mates to go for an all day bevvy session.
  5. Judging my where they are in La Liga, they're not as shite as a lot of people on here made them out to be.
  6. In my opinion, the comments from the board and McCall pre and post match suggest that we're quite happy to continue to play second fiddle to Rangers. The attitude of the players on Wednesday night certainly suggested that. It was exactly the same during Rangers' collapse in the summer. Our club showed absolutely no baws until the fans forced their hand and we proved during the week that we're still not capable of standing up to them, on or off the park.
  7. Jennings was that player. He wasn't just a c**t like mcculloch, he was an impressive player
  8. Yes. Because unless we encouraged any Sevco fans, then it was a fucking pointless statement.
  9. As I've said previously, most other clubs aren't in the business of putting out meaningless statements before a league cup tie.
  10. Do you honestly believe that our statement convinced any Sevco fan to go to Ibrox on Wed night?
  11. When was the last time the board released a pointless statement before a St Mirren game?
  12. Shameful. From our statement before the game, to the players and management last night, to the after match comments. Embarrassingly our club took exactly the same approach when Rangers died. Our club had the chance to put those c***s in their place this summer - we shat it. Our club had the chance to put those c***s in their place last night - we shat it. Utter spineless pish.
  13. Get what you're saying, that's the first time I've seen Levante live but when people are claiming that last night was our worst ever performance in Europe, then you surely need to take the quality of the opposition into consideration and the league they play in and where they finished in that league, is a pretty reasonable indication of how good they are. I'm not denying that we (and other SPL clubs) could have got a result against Levante last night and I'm as disapponted as anyone that we didn't play to our potential. But all things considered, I still think the criticism is over the top, with a lot of people failing to appreciate that we lost to a decent side.
  14. They've played one game this season, think their final league position from last season is a bit more reliable than your assumption. Anyway, this debate is going nowhere. Irrespective of where Levante finished last season, or where they will finish this season, they are a stronger side who play in a far stronger league to us. We under performed, no doubt about it but some of the comparisons between Levante and bottom six SPL teams just shows the ignorance of some people.
  15. You can get a few lucky results here and there but they played 38 games in the league last season. It makes no sense to suggest finishing sixth after playing that amount of games is a fluke.
  16. I don't think anyone on here is claiming that it was a valiant effort from us last night, we didn't play to our potential. Neither is anyone claiming that Levante were unbeatable. But taking last nights game out of it, they play in one of the best leagues in the world, a standard far higher than the SPL and even if you don't watch La Liga, it would be difficult to argue that they weren't a decent side, since they qualified for Europe. So to suggest stuff like...that was our worst European performance and that Levante would struggle to finish in the top six of the SPL, is ridiculous at best. Bit of realism required.
  17. Time for bed I think. The team who finished sixth in the Spanish League, would finish fifth or below in the SPL. Fine logic, with absolutely no substance apart from a 90 mins first leg, where they beat us 2-0. Fuck me. Goodnight.
  18. Two points... 1. It's slightly easier to finish third in the SPL than in it is to finish sixth in La Liga. 2. Levante finished sixth in La Liga last season, which is the level they're currently playing at. Livi finished third in the SPL a good few years ago. Of course their current team is not at that level. Terrible argument. I couldn't care less where Levante finish this season. Point still stands, they're an unfashionable team from the top league in Spain, we're an unfashionable team from the top league in Scotland. All things considered, they should hump us.
  19. FFS I really can't believe we're having this debate. Levante beat Barcelona last year and drew with them at the Nou Camp. Do you think Danny Lennon's boys would've got a similar set of results? Get a fucking grip.
  20. Somebody said that are of a similar level to Dundee Utd or Hearts. They're not. That's the first time I've seen them live, I've seen them on TV several times. They might not have a a stereotypical Spanish style but they are still an impressive side. To suggest otherwise is either naivety or stupidity. Even if they are a below average side (which their results last season suggest they aren't) then that doesn't change the fact, that they should still comfortably beat a side like us.
  21. Haha I think that's all that needs to be said to that. Granted they weren't Barcelona but have a fucking word with yourself.
  22. Ok I'm not going to waste my time debating with you. I'm as gutted about the performance as anyone and I don't think we played to our potential. But the gulf between La Liga and the SPL is huge. Anyone who dismisses that, shouldn't be allowed to watch football.
  23. Spot on. You would think we had lost to a side from the second division in Scotland judging by the reaction on here. Clueless.
  24. So they finish sixth in La Liga and draw their first game of the season against the team who won the Europa League last year...they must be unbelievably lucky. Wake up call for our fans. Spanish football is a different world to the SPL. The result and performance was disappointing but it was far from unexpected.
  25. I don't even think that statement deserves a response but I'll grant you one - moron.
