Got home, opened the door, no mail, devastated. Then noticed a pile on the hall table. Envelope addressed to me, postmarked Motherwell. Opened it. Ibrox ticket inside, delighted. Bring on tomorrow.
Given that the official site statement says that the people who have renewed their season ticket are guaranteed a ticket for Ibrox, does this mean that mine is sitting there waiting to be claimed?
Haven't been to Ibrox since the '80s, it would be a thought to go again. I would prefer a sunny afternoon in Edinburgh, a bite to eat then a wander down to Easter Road. Just feels more civilised.
Not sure the keeper did much wrong on Saturday. The equaliser was as a result of him and O'Brien going for the same ball, better communication would have helped but either would probably have cleared the ball if the other wasn't there.
Other than that the keeper did fine, I have seen comments about him slowing the play down but I saw him rushing to the 18 yard line with no-one looking for the ball.
I assume the guys that were recently out on loan cannot play. So it's the guys that have been on the bench who are in with a shout of a game. Dan, Straker, Kerr, Thomas, Ainsworth, Sutton, Moore, Law, a couple of midfielders and a centre half.
Yes today ultimately meant nothing, crumbling at St Johnstone and Aberdeen from winning positions had a greater effect. Conceding in both stoppage times against RC was also instrumental.
You could tell that Sutton knew what that kick meant. He held himself back outside the box before it was time to spot the ball. He looked up and around. He took a big breath then strode up and slotted it away. I have criticised his penalties before as he is a bit of a trundler but that was a big moment and he delivered. And then.....
