Regardless of the Miller situation, Slattery is no different from any other Motherwell player. - a suitable bid comes in he will be off. He has done well the last few months and on current form a key player for ud moving on, but lets not kid ourselves that he's not replaceable.

We struggle to score goals, why anyone would think its a good idea to re-sign multiple non scoring strikers from this team is beyond me. Armstrong - given his mobility there is an argunment he could fit into wimmers preffered pressing system. Watt...... the guy has ability but shows it once in 20 games. Theres a reason he has had so many clubs & he's barely made an impression this season with exception of one game. Hopefully Wimmer has re-signed enough to give us stability next year & he clears the decks of the rest of the dross.

Thats it mate, sadly the reality is how much we have regressed in the last 15 or so years. Case in point, how many of our guys would get in the starting 11 of- - McGhees first team - McCalls team - embarrassing to include but Barracloughs starting 11 for playoffs. So Miller aside, and even then he would have serious work to do to get off the bench, do any of our current guys improve any of those teams? Its probably an indication on Scottish football in general rather than Motherwell. Im guessing most teams have been deskilling as the money continues to flow elsewhere.

When he plays well he's a real asset. The problem is we only see it once in a blue moon. For me, that was probably his best game since he returned from utd.

Thought we were poor the first 20mins or so and our only tactic appeared to be long ball to beat the trap. Stepped it up however & played decent stuff in spells. If we had a bit more firepower we could have taken a stack off them. Made it hard in the end, but 3points is what matters. Thought Sparrow had a really good game & that was probably fat tonys best match since he came back. Mon the well!

After seeing how we set up & executed the last two games, im actually excited for going to Fir Park. I cant say iv had that feeling much over the last few seasons - despite being an ST holder & going along each week, it was more out of habit/duty. Long may the excitement continue
