have to agree with the last bit mate, its all very well taking about 'wall' stadiums and people designing their own grounds on an art programme and talk of consulting with fan groups. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. If or when we move we are more likely to end up with two stands as per accies, we've not much, if any more of a crowd than them and their stadium is doing them fine. The state of the fir park pitch has came back to haunt us lads and may just have cost us the chance of European football this season. I know Fraser is not the best and not as good as Ruddy but the pitch should take the blame for the first goal. The thin layer of turf we have clearly laid over a sand bed is like playing fitba on a rug on laminate flooring. The second goal for united can also be blamed on the pitch, Coke slips again on the pitch and Daley gets away to score the goal. The 3rd goal was just good play by united. Let’s get of the players backs especially Fraser, I know he’s not great but think most players would have problems on that pitch, every other club in the league has complained about it, now we must see it has cost us this game. Minus those two goals we’d possibly have won 2-1.

I honestly think we are all arguing the same point. I’m sure the lads on here moaning about the lack of support are single, no mortgage, no kids the rest including myself have all these commitments. Personally I have 3 kids, mortgage and wife who has no interest in football. Before all this in my younger days I went home and away every week for years, different priorities now same as most. Didn’t buy a season book this year for first time in 15 years and just picked and chose home games, never went to any away games, went to France and Wales and hopefully get an away euro trip this year. Would do this every year to be honest, pick and choose games and take the big away euro trip. After following the well everywhere for nearly 20 years, I’m 35 now, I know I don’t need to prove how much of a fan I am to anyone, not going to a Celtic midweek game is not the measure of if you are a fan or not.

What Motherwell should have did was close fir park till the pitch had bedded in and hired accies or airdries grounds on a ground share. The costs of this would have worked out cheaper that the repair bill we are going to have or the cost of re turfing the pitch and the fine we are going to end up with.
