  1. tbh, there are restrictions on the use of floodlighting at Dalziel Park due to complaints from the locals, this despite the fact that the sportsfields predate the houses....
  2. exactly, it's not like UBH is talking replacing our badge with a dragon and changing the colours to red....
  3. pretty sure they have clauses in them regarding relegation and manager changes. So if the current manager gets sacked after having a PCA with a player, the new manager has the option to cancel it.
  4. Google now has issues of the Glasgow Herald going back to the 20s i think. Been able to find quite a bit on the rugby club, but here's a couple that might be of interest to you lot! one: http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=fFVRAAAAIBAJ&sjid=JjQNAAAAIBAJ&pg=4362%2C7233961 (well, just to the right of it, can't link directly to it) two: http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=glVRAAAAIBAJ&sjid=JjQNAAAAIBAJ&pg=2480%2C8256170
  5. nah, got a cap as a sub in Tommy Burns only game in charge against Sweden i think
  6. don't think that value is correct, but I've read the same thing. It's to do with the broadcasting rights for each Association.
  7. over christmas and the United game was horiffic weather? Struggling to see the other end of the pitch from the DC!
  8. nope, nor does it include the Sleeper services.

    Steelmen Forever

with the rugby club, we get a percentage of each sale that Provan Sports sells for us, can't remember the exact % value though.
  10. would be an ideal game to do allow ST holders to bring a friend for half price.
  11. while the third Div clubs might vote no (bare in mind there are playoffs), the other 20 clubs in div 1 and 2 are bound by the same concerns!
  12. Regardless of the outcome, those that voted "no" will announce that they voted such, again to make sure their fans know about it. surely, if they do start the season and are then liquidated, they lose their share in the league. Their results are expunged and the season continues with 11 teams with the team finishing 11th being relegated. Of course, it would take a moron to let them get into that position. oh wait....
  13. lolz sky wouldn't walk away, they, along with espn/bbc/etc would put an offer in that would reflect that they wouldn't be getting their prized "4 old firm games" a season. The Irish and welsh leagues have TV deals, so why would a Rangers-less SPL not get one? Maybe this would help the entire SPL get their houses in order and reduce the reliance on TV money (on a slightly less drastic scale than the ITV digital collapse did in england).
  14. i think you need to look at a dictionary and find out what Entrapment is! (but still a bit shit how you were treated Frazzle)
  15. http://www.racing-metro92.com/Web_TV-63.html lots of sitting in Murrayfield on Friday night....
  16. Glasgow Warriors generally play their home league games on a Friday night (European games are decided by TV) and it's great. Out for a couple pints, then to the rugby (plus a couple pints at the game), atmosphere is great and it leaves your weekend free! Also, with games being on a friday, it allows people to still play sport on the Saturday (which, we should be encouraging with the current state of health in this country). As long as the SPL/SFL don't arrange games to clash with the Pro Rugby, you'd be able to encourage more rugby/hockey fans along to watch on friday since they don't normally go on a Saturday. as an aside, there were more people at the Glasgow game on Friday night than at the Motherwell game on Saturday.
  17. reckon he's meaning that when he's been at tynecastle, the atmosphere's been great, but the majority of fans there are against him (given he's been with Motherwell/St Mirren).
  18. you've been fed misinformation! but this isn't the thread for that!
  19. but if its a 30 game league season that opens up some free saturdays for these games to be played (or at least some of them)
  20. or as Andy Ross did once, pour the meat out too....
  21. but then, wouldn't some companies be more willing to sponsor motherwell in other ways if they see us giving up "prime" real estate on our jersey?
  22. yeh, thats what happened: http://www.acadvertiser.co.uk/coatbridge-a...65864-21344646/
  23. its more that people then pick these up on either google or just from browsing the site, then post them to other ones and it makes it look like puma do all their template in paint. Thats when the problem's start creeping in. Hell, even people on here didn't realise that UBH's airdrie style strip was a pisstake!

    Season Tickets

wasn't it a 10% discount last season for early bird? so your £333 season ticket was £370 before discount. Still the same price. yeh, 10% for 09/10 tickets on 08/09 prices: http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/index.php?op...&Itemid=136
  25. I think its to do with where the cup winner finishes in the league, as the cup winner enters the competition later than 4th place will, so if the winner finishes fourth, they take the cup winners place and the position for 4th is handed to 5th. If the winner has qualified for the Champions league, then it goes to the runner-up. (though, according to wiki, the cup winner enters after 3rd place, so if Hibs or Dundee United win the cup, on current standings, the Europa league spot for 4th would go to us)
