On Saturday the MFC Podcast will team up with the ‘Well Society’ for a Christmas Toy Drive. We hope to help make Christmas for children, families and others who have little or nothing under the tree on Christmas morning. · We'll be based outside the Davie Cooper stand from 1:45 until kick-off, with donations being taken to the local Salvation Army church. · All new, unwrapped toys and gifts are welcome and will be distributed in your community in time for Christmas. · For wrapped toys we would ask that you write the age-range of the toy on the item. A guide to age-ranges for toys can be found HERE On behalf of ourselves and the Society we would like to thank you for your continued support and hope to see you on Saturday.

As a few may have noticed the quiz will now be held on the same evening as the club's calendar signing which works well for us. We've had a good number of teams of four registering already as well as two players teams and a team representing the ladies team as well. The quiz will begin at 7:45 and run to around 10 - there will be a short break in which pies will be served. Gordon Duncan of Clyde One will be hosting proceedings and all funds raised will go to the MFC Ladies team.

MFC Podcast - Fundraising for MFC Ladies On Friday we had a very productive conversation with Dawn from the Motherwell Community Trust where we discussed ways in which the podcast could help support the great work carried out by the trust. The first part of this will be the proceeds of our Football Quiz on November 28th going to towards the Motherwell F.C. Ladies team. We have also set up a Crowd Funding page for donations to be made to the MFC Ladies team. The purpose of this is quite simple, it’s a fantastic achievement for any Motherwell side to win their league and given the ladies have achieved this in successive season is amazing – this is a chance for fans to support the club - https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/mfc-ladies As we have already stressed the money will be used to support the team with costs whether it be buying strips, training equipment, etc – the Motherwell F.C. Community Trust invest a great deal in the women’s team and also are actively seeking sponsorship deals for the team. Our fundraising efforts will hopefully allow fans to make a contribution to the team and help further boost their chances as they make the step up to SPL2 next season.

Wee update on this, following on from the podcast with Suzanne Grant we offered to help try raise some funds for the women's team. Money raised from the quiz will be donated to the team and a Crowdfunding page was also set up for those who want to support the ladies team - https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/mfc-ladies What was gathered from the conversations held was that the Community Trust offer great support to the MFC ladies next season will bring more costs and also extra demand for kit - whether that be strips, training equipment etc. The Trust are actively seeking sponsorship for the ladies team, we don't want to step on toes, but at the same time hopefully this fundraiser gives those who want to contribute to a very successful Motherwell team the chance to support.
