  1. Dont see the point in a bigger league!

After 3/4 of the season there will be meaningless games and why would people bother to see teams trying some new players or youngsters and obviously the TV wouldnt bother either! It wouldnt work!

I totaly agree with the proposal if you want to bring Scottish Football ahead. Money rules the world and people need to accept it, wehter we like it or not!

I certainly prob wouldnt renew a seasonticket for a 18 team league to see 2 teams playing some terrible football, because you can be 100% sure that even in a 16 or 18 team league, teams will play not to lose and talent wont improve. Once certain teams have a decent amount of points the pressure is out and peope wont pay at the gate.... Games wont be on TV and here we go!

We need to have competition, excitemnt all year around, thats already lacking at times with 12 teams.

But again: This is my own view!

WELCOME TO THE FORUM MR DONCASTER!

  2. Jennings was booked for his first challenge, and other players particularly Hearts players got away with worst. The referee's inept performance, and his clear dislike of Motherwell, last night made it obvious he was gonna send off a Motherwell player. I even turned to my mate and said "as soon as he gets the chance a Well players is off"

It was that obvious and you know what I'm only raging that I never got on to the bookies myself

  3. Lets put a shout out for all those Motherwell Players who have been overlooked this time round, the only way we can bounce back from this issue is to prove Levein wrong.

Saturday offers the opportunity for Murphy, Humphrey, Hammel, and Reynolds to show Levein what Motherwell Offers Scottish football, it is clear that presently Levein does not rate the players mentioned above.

    Pros and Cons

    • Murphy- what does he offer Scotland ? and where and how can he improve to the point Levein cant ignore him anymore.
    • Humphrey- What does Chris offer Scotland that they dont have already?
    • Reynolds- What has Reynolds got that the other Central defenders selected have not?
    • Hammel- Is he ready for the next step, is he better than the left back already selected in the Levein dream team.

Please discuss all of the above, it will be interesting to read your findings!

Murphy - He offers pace with the ball at his feet, but is still too lightweight

Humphrey - Pace , Needs to be more consistent and can be naive at times especially defending

Reynolds - Offers intelligence and pace in the centre of the defence which Scotland lack, distribution sometimes poor ,

Hammel- Would give Scotland balance with a left footed left back! Cons has a massive heed!

Out of them all Reynolds is the one I think who should be in the squad for Faroes game

But levein has 3 ways of prioritizing the selection of his squad

1 Must be part of old firm, and Neil and Walter happy to let them play (don't have to be a first team regular)

2 Are they in a English teams squad any divsion !(don't have to be a first team regular)

3 Has he previously managed them ie at Dundee Utd (Goodwillie, Webster, Kenneth , Dixon)

  4. Im sure if any Motherwell player was good enough for the national team they'd be in it. Sadly none are and im saying that as a Well and Scotland fan. :D . I think Hammell is a better full back than Wallace mind you but NONE of them are international class.

Now that Wallace is injured , surely Levein has to have a look at Hammell. Or will he wait too see if Mulgrew manages to get back in Celtic team !

Really is there any better "true" left backs in the SPL ?

  5. Broon - Tactically got it wrong when he changed to 5-4-1

Randolph - couple of good saves , best player of a bad bunch

Saunders - looks like a decent prospect but like today he'll make mistakes and cost us points

    Reynolds/Craggs - ok

Hateley - Poor performance for me.

Jennings - Looked way off the pace, carrying and injury?

    Blackman - Gash!

Lasley - 100% effort as usual

    Humphrey - total passenger today

Forbes - as always decent on the ball

Hammel - shame he got the injury cause he had Forrest in his back pocket

Page - did alright although got skint a few times by Forrest

    Murphy - Ok

Sutton - Big guy was getting fouled all day , but tried his best

  6. all the best jim surprised he went to barnsley thought a bigger championship club would have signed him. From next season im not getting a name on my shirt as everytime i do the player ends up leaving ive had faddy, rossco, porter, skippy and now o brien maybe im jinxed

Can't you get Fitzpatrick on your back :D

  7. I see Dundee have released 9 or are not renewing contracts with 4 other players

    From BBC

"Dundee have released nine players - including player of the year Jim Lauchlan - and told four others they are free to find new clubs.

It follows the club's failure to win Division One and promotion.

Tony Bullock, Derek Soutar, Eddie Malone, Gary MacKenzie, David Cowan, Colin Cameron, Darren Young, Bob Malcolm and Lauchlan are released.

Ritchie Hart, Maros Klimpl, Chris Casement and Bryan Deasley have been told they are no longer wanted. "

Maros Klimpl included- Have we moved on since he was here?

  8. Been reading that he's back in Scotland and feels he's got a good 3 years left in him.I know he's a bawbag but not a bad player. In my opinion he's worth a look at to see how fit he is and to see if he's wanting to come to the Well. What do you all think?

    Naw....just Naw

  9. Mine would be the 8-1 humping of Flamaturi. I know they were a pub team, but what I loved was that it was all the young lads who made that victory all the sweeter. We hadn't really seen Hutchy, Forbes, Slane or McHugh on the big stage yet and I felt this game showed we have some real talent on the books.

Also it was a cracking day and most of the goals were magic!

Close second would be the 1-1 draw with Rangers. Felt thats probably the best we have played all season. Just didn't have luck or an unbaised ref on our side that day.

    ditto on the Flamaturi game

But the Llanelli away game was also right up there

  10. I'd personally like to thank Jim for a few great seasons in the claret and amber

And to the idiot in the East stand at the united game for giving him severe dogs abuse, wasn't his best game ever but the torrent received was well out of order ,Basically your a rocket!
