  1. This is Boyles last chance to get this right now. The pitch is going to cost him ST holders who refuse to part with £300 to see games on that park. PATG(home and away fans) who would rather do something else/go elsewhere than pay £20 to watch a game on the park. Now, potentially, we have players not prepared to sign unless sufficient guarantees are made over the pitch. I also think that these guarantees shouldn't be made only to players either. IMO, if the pitch shambles happens again by Christmas, ST holders should be entitled to have their money refunded by the club as they will be getting shafted for the 3rd season in a row. Perhaps while Mr Boyle is getting the pitch in order, perhaps he should be canvassing Cricket Clubs, Golf Courses, Bowling Clubs, other Football Clubs(Accies Groundsman has already told him to GTF by the way) to see if we can get suitably experienced, capable groundstaff who know how all equipment available to them should be used, that will be able to keep the park more than playable over the course of the season.

I'm demanding a refund if I don't get a heated seat and someone to rattle to jewelley ......get a grip

Hately is stalling on a deal cause he's got a new agent called Trevor Steven who's fillin his head with grandure, if he goes, he goes, and Saunders has better potential at right back anyway;)

  2. That fact it appeared in that rag, for me, means instant pinch of salt....

O'brien has changed to allegiance to Scotland and Rangers are now interested, read between the lines he's off to warm the bench at Ibrox!

  3. Away ye go! We could be there on the final day of the season to clinch the title and i still wouldn't pay money to sit in that stadium and fill celtics pockets. I also wouldn't pay £25 to watch Motherwell in a league game no matter where it was, i have more important things to spend my hard earned cash on.

Out of Interest how much would you pay too watch Motherwell home/away?

  4. His form has dipped of late, obviously not helped by pitch.

Am I the only one who has noticed that his reaction to people fouling him recently have been way over the top....is it because he has a contract elsewhere already in the bag and is worried about injury???

I wonder what sort of reaction he'll get when he signs for Aberdeen lets hope its another Derek Adams/Steven Craig scenario where after they leave its all downhill

I hope I'm wrong I think he is one of our better players

  5. Can't award it to the defence because Hearts were so ineffectual however would like to say Hammell should be rewarded immediately with a new contract. Craigan was composed and Renyolds took his goal well and looked pretty too. Hateley probably had his first below average game in a well shirt.

Midfield, due to the fact we lost the midfield in the 2nd half I can't give full marks but Jennings stood out.

For me the MotM was Murphy, just thought whenever he was involved he added that little bit extra.

I voted for Sutton Broon is getting the best out of him

& was I the only one who spotted Hateley was limping in the 2nd half ? might be why he wasn't his usual self

  6. What would happen to the European spot for the Scottish cup if the two teams in the final have already qualified for Europe with there league position? ie Rangers, Celtic , Dundee Utd or HIbs are in the final and finish in top 4?

  7. Seems the stewards are going to be searching us

Getting very close to me calling it a day on attending football matches

Why?? You get searched going into concerts going into bars/clubs, I agree its an inconvenience but come on is it really that bad. The club need to be shown to be pro-active due to idiots who have thrown things on the park and this is what they have come up with

Get out the pub 5 minutes earlier and you won't notice any difference

  8. I think going through a list of shite players that have been capped for Scotland is pointless, and it could take you all day!

The way I judge whether someone is good enough to be be in the Scotland squad is quite simple - Normally, a squad consists of roughly 24 players, so just over two players per jersey if you like. Therefor, I ask myself:

Was Corrigan/Quinn in the best 2 or 3 Scottish right backs at that time? I would say no.

Is Reynolds in the best 4 or 5 Scottish centre halves right now? I would say no.

Is Hammell in the best 2 or 3 Scottish left backs right now? I would say no.

Was/Is Graeme Smith in the best 3 Scottish goalkeepers? I would say no.

It is all about opinions, of course, and I'm just telling you mine, but keep in mind Clarkson got a couple of caps while at Motherwell last year and I reckon fans of other provincial clubs would have been scratching their heads saying that their guy deserved it more, like you are with Kenneth & Dixon.

I would be delighted if a few of our players made it into the Scotland squad, and I'd be even happier if it developed them into a better player in the process - I just can't see it happenning for the forseeable.

PS - It's also a shame that the two players in our team who are (again, in my opinion) potentially international class are bloody English!

Corrigan was better than Maurice Ross who was capped at right back around about that time

Hammell is on a par with Dixon who's just been called up

Reynolds is a better defender than Kenneth

Graeme Smith was no better or worse than Jamie Langfield

So once again Imo your talkin pants, are you really an Airdrie fan in disguise

  9. A lot of people have mentioned that Marc reynolds and Steven Hammell have been overlooked for Scotland squad despite the fact that they are part of the defence with the most shut outs in the league and that dumpling Kenneth has been called up and it got me thinking , under new schooling rules can Tom Hateley play for Scotland?

  10. Its obvious to all that the pitch is terrible, we don't seem to be able too fix it in the short term,

As its "our" fault we need to be seen as trying to be pro-active in solutions instead of waiting on the SPL giving us a fine

the only solution is to play games at Hamilton/Airdrie or wherever until its fixed.

The club will need to take the hit financially , therefore surely we can come to an agreement with the SPL that any monies that were to be given as a potential fine are used as a cost to take our support to these games.

    My opinion only!

  11. He cost us one goal. Could've easily cost us at least one other. His remit as a defender is to stop the other team from scoring, so yes I do think he was poor as he failed his objective. Craigan got pelters on here after the 0-3 game at Kilmarnock when he achieved his objective, so while I have seen far worse performances than Reynolds' last night, I am keeping my opinion of him in perspective compared to some.

Using your methods then John Ruddy was a failure last night as his "objective" is to keep the ball out the net

I think you are at wind up

  12. a don't think its allowed in the spl at the moment but if it was it would surely be an idea for us.the area that the pitch is on clearly isn't great and doesn't have good drainage so it doesnae matter how often we relay it,it'll still be pish by the end of the season.it wouldn't hider our game or make injuries any more likely than on the pitch we have just now and by spl standards motherwell aren't a hard tackling team so wouldn't have to change their game.also it would give us an advantage for home games like it did for hamilton the year they got promoted.

anyone agree or have any other ideas about the pitch?

No Thanks, but a new stadium where the sun actually shines on the pitch would help
