Or soup, or soap. Anyone know what he actually said?
  3. Flow said some whatever stuff about servers and traffic. Maybe we should take turns at visiting it?
  4. It's great to have two well respected and experienced managers to steady the ark. There's unlikely to be any hidden agendas with these guys, and I would think that if things go well there would be a possibility of them staying on at least until the end of the season. My only worry is the impending transfer window, as the activity in this period is going to make or break our season.
  5. I don't believe Gannon's appointment was a mistake. He had a pretty good track record and had a decent start to his reign considering the players he was left with. Boyle recruited him due to his contacts in the English game, and this seems to have paid off with the signings of Hately, Jennings, Coke, Lukas, yass and Ruddy. He was also known for giving youth a chance, and as such we have seen Hutch, Forbes, Slane, McHugh and Saunders all given a chance when another manager may have signed older players. I could also see Gannon impressing at an interview, as when he first arrived he seemed to say the right things. Most people praised Boyle for this appointment, as we could have easily gone for someone with no experience or one of the "usual suspects". He did have us playing pretty good football at times, but the European results shouldn't count as our dreadful first leg performances built up those shite teams to be something they weren't. Our league performances up until the second round of old firm games were fine, with only one defeat and quite a few clean sheets weirdly enough. However, someone mentioned the St Mirren game as a turning point, and I agree as this is when the performances started to get very shaky and the real tinkering began. However, no one could have expected him to spit the dummy like he has, and the amount of sulking that's been going on. The board have made a difficult decision to part way with the manager, but have made the decision for the long term good of the club. Most of us wont ever know what happened behind the scenes, but the board known the importance of staying in the SPL so this decision wouldn't have been taken lightly.

    New Manager

Well, that would at least maintain some sort of consistency....in abuse from the fans.

    New Manager

    George Burley would be nice.
  9. I'm shocked. I'm sure there must have been more going on than we knew about, as surely this wouldn't have been down to the run of results, since we've had worse runs under worse managers who kept their jobs. Edit - maybe they should sack the webmaster too, cos it's no working :-)
  10. Does your source know which club is going to risk taking on two players who are injured long-term?
  11. That's funny. I've been pro-yassin all season and though the was shite today! The experienced guys were poor today, and the only plus point for me was a decent performance from Jennings. We had absolutely nothing up front, and St J nullified our "passing game" pretty easily. We could have been a couple of goals down early on if not for some good last ditch challenges from Saunders and a good save from Ruddy, but the changes made by both teams at half time left us completely swamped in the midfield and St Johnstone ran the entire second half. Our confidence also looks shot to pieces. Gannon can moan about the players all he wants, but good managers can organise a team of mediocre players to at least make it hard for the opposition.
  12. GK - Marshall (I'm not picking Ruddy due to the fact that 6 months out of 10 years isn't enough for me) LB - Hammell (pretty much been our left back in the noughties) CB - Partridge CB - Craigan RB - Kaiser - no brainer that one. Anywhere - Faddy CM - Leitch CM - Hughes FW - Clarkson (7 out of 10 years isn't bad) FW - McDonald FW - Porter Bench Rosscoe, G.Smith, Quinn, Stepover, Foran, Manager - Butcher, for admin and the cup runs.
  13. All of the defenders and the goalkeeper are to blame for every goal, and it's the midfielders fault for making the defenders have to deal with the problem in the first place, and this wouldn't even be an issue if the strikers scored.
  14. If he's shite then why is there an uproar about what country he chose to play for? We've dodged a bullet have we no?

    Jim O'Brien

What if McGarry goes to St Mirren and scores 10 goals for them? If we don't need or want O'Brien then he should go, we shouldn't be keeping him because we're worried about what he'll do elsewhere. We're in control of our own destiny here, and where we finish will come down to how well or badly we play, not how many penalties O'brien wins for the sheep. TBH, slane could probably do everything on that list (or better) for us.
  16. Our current form is poor cos we played the top 3 clubs, with squads way better than ours. An 8 point lead is pretty significant considering there's also another 6 teams between us and the bottom.
  17. Here's me thinking I was on a Motherwell forum! I don't think we'll ever be in a position where we can start demanding wins, we'll never be that good, and losing to Hibs, Rangers and Celtic is hardly crisis-worthy. We didn't turn into a bad team overnight, we just played three better teams. The relegation talk is unbelievable!
  18. Aye, I might have been sucked in had he not mentioned McCall and Blobby.
  19. It's easy to say that we should get rid of someone, but that would involve either paying off their contract or convincing another club to take it on. If a player isn't of SPL quality but is getting SPL wages, then I don't see them taking a pay cut just because we don't want them, and I also don't see any lower league clubs being happy to take on their wages. I also don't see us off-loading the long-term injured. Our backup players are never going ot be as good as our first teamers, otherwise they wouldn't be bench players at MFC. Once Lasley, Craigan, McGarry, Fitzy, and Smith's contracts are up I wouldn't be too fussed if they left, but at the moment at least Craggs and Las are good experienced backup. As for bringing players in, we oculd really do with some creativity.
  20. I'm not the most creative person in the world, and maybe I'm too old to understand these things now, but that flag is shite, and kind of offensive. It's offensive cos it has an irishman weilding a machine gun, and it's also offense due to it being ridiculously shite. Maybe I'm too far removed from the "good old days" when there was an atmosphere and everyone was standing up and singing and we all used to piss on eachother and eat greasy pies and take in a carry oot and lift the weans over the turnstyle, but I've never understood how a flag adds to the atmosphere. I'm also convinced that the effect an "atmosphere" has on a player's/team's performance is marginal at best.
  21. I'd expect Hateley to start at RB, he did a decent job against St J. With humphrey on the right we still have some pace there to make up for Moutuakills absence.
  22. I heard a far bit of racist abuse coming from the east stand after the incident, but none before. I must just sit near the one racist at FP though, cos I hear it all the time! I don't see what the big deal is, we get to call people paedos but we cant take it when someone slides towards us? Football fans are fucking weirdos :-)
  23. The prices were too high before they increased them for the OF. I don't think my presence is going to be the difference between us winning or losing, but if it was I reckon they may make it cheaper, or maybe even let me in for free.
  24. What weeyin said and bobblehead dolls.
