I'm sure there will be a barely legible word salad post on FB soon enough decrying the treatment of the people who did this when they are caught.
-
Shame that var would still give that one today, and also the one that Callum McGregor bought not long after that.
-
Next weeks el plastico against Falkirk is going to be huge for him.
-
How far is he from matching that horrible run with us?
-
What's the chances of Kettlewell ending up there if killie lose today?
-
This whole business of watering the pitch weird, and pissing about with the multi ball is so small time. However, its flattering that teams now need to coordinate with gardeners and children to stop us.
-
According to Watt, he recruited himself.
-
Outside of Slattery, I'm pretty sure our better players are signed up. I'd say its probably too early to sell the likes of Watt and Just, but the manager has talked a lot about our aim being to sell players on, so I wouldnt be too surprised if it did happen.
-
On Ox, Killie are in trouble because they neglected to have a competent backup keeper, and decided to go with an unproven kid instead. Then all it took was one injury to really mess them up. I think connelly is probably better than the guy Killie has, but it would still be a big risk letting Ox move without bringing in a decent backup.

It's not a slight on us, but adding 2 wins to our current run is asking a lot, just based on how this league goes, and the whole law of averages thing, i.e. vibes. I'm more confident in keeping this going than I would have been with other managers (and squads), but I think Tannadice will be a tricky one, and they really need to pull lut a result to halt their bad run, and as mentioned above, they have some decent attacking players. On the other hand, their defence is woeful, and they still dont know how to sign goalkeepers. Also, Goodwin likes a death spiral. On Dundee, they will be ultra defensive, so that will.be a different challenge.

The one that jumps out to me was when we brought in Marvin Johnson, and a whole bunch of jobbers under baraclough. Marv was definitely an excellent singing. Other than that, slim pickings.
-
That would be a decent move for him, and he might be the kind of player that could keep them challenging with St. J.

I definitely didn't predict us being able to turn things around so quickly, and without a crazy overhaul of our squad, and never thought we could source the players to play a more entertaining style. Maybe the Miller millions helped, but I think it has been more about the overall changes at the club from the board room down, which has allowed us to recruit and back a manager of JBAs caliber. Im going to be entertained regardless, because I love watching football, especially Motherwell. The result is always going to mean more to me, but this season I've been more interested in the bigger picture and have truly enjoyed the way we play, when I can honestly say I didnt like this style in the past when other teams played it. It is clear that a significant chunk of our fan base has been won over, and for me that has been the most remarkable part. Maybe that's skewed by the fact we've only lost twice in the league, but there's no doubt that most of the support has bought in to the current style.

100% Nancy looks like a banter goldmine. Real shame that the chances of Welsh being recalled just went up, because they need him.
-
They should fire Robinson and then sack the board if they don't.

I wouldn't go crazy with letting folk go, since there will still be injuries and suspensions to deal with, and possible sales. As such, i reckon the likes of Halliday and Balmer will be on a one in one out basis. Ross seems a stick on for a loan move, and if Sule gets fit I can see us sending Osong back (if we're allowed to). I fully expect Welsh to be gone as well, assuming its allowed in the loan deal (it usually is). We won't cut loose players while theyre still injured. The long-termers are all supposed to be back around the turn of the year, so hopefully they can get fit enough to go on loan somewhere and get in the window for their next move. Stuparevic to Raith would seem a good call since Imrie is there. In top of all that, there will surely be interest in a few of our players, maybe even from the clubs we're challenging in the top half.

SOD was really good, but I went with Johnny K as he was instrumental in the first two goals, and also had a very solid game defensively, while on the wrong side of the back 4 as well. It was nice that Longelo continued the theme when he came on.

Maybe Caledonian Braves can clydebank them with all that money they scammed off of Americans.
-
Yep. Total sliding doors moment that one, and ill never get over the "but he's American" of it all. Right now we could all be talking about the finale of an epic Netflix series titled "Steelmen: Stuart Kettlewell's initial remarks, pt 22"

It's scary how this situation could materialize at just about any club, where a dodgy owner loses the run of themselves, or internal politics strangle a club. Even owners/execs with best of intentions can royally screw things up. What has happened at Accies over the last few years is just a whole other level though. How it took until now to deem their owner and chief execs as not fit and proper to run a football club beats me.
-
I'm guessing they dont care that much about getting paid.
-
I think we're getting carried away here. If the above was true Welsh would be getting a game for Celtic. We're rating the current scotland center backs (that qualified for a world cup) based on their performances against other international teams, but bigging up Stephen Welsh based on performances against Hibs and Hearts. Also, Clarke isnt going to change the teams style to acommodate one player, nevermind a motherwell player. Hanley and our style aside, all of those other CBs would walk into our team.
-
McGlynn seems to be more tactically astute than the other managers we've faced for a second time, so it will be interesting to see how he sets Falkirk up, as he clearly made the right changes to turn thimgs around when they played us at FP.
-
Im unable to click on any of the links in news articles, or even select the text to paste it in a browser. The Livingston game is back on the fixture list though, so progress.

His interview was after the game, and our tactics were plain to see. You can only keep your tactics secret until.the game starts. With the level of analysis that's done theese days, teams will know our players and tactics inside and out before they play us, but we'll do exactly the same, so it comes down to who adjusts the best. As others have stated, I dont think JBA was commenting on Hanley's ability as much as saying he wanted to isolate the center back. Our media will jump on absolutely anything that gives them a chance to put a wee team in its place, so maybe he should have known better, but if were trying to modernize fhe club, maybe we can start with not caring about this kind of stuff.
