  1. Thought it was a silly challenge, went over the ball and gave the referee a decision to make. There was really no need.
  2. Would never have been given in the premiership with VAR.
  3. If it was a penalty I thought it was more to do with Gallagher holding than a challenge by mugabe.
  4. Just as long as he is not then loaned out to Celtic!
  5. From Wikipedia maaskant has held 11 managerial positions in the last 15 years. Not exactly promoting stability...
  6. cracking bit of business if those figures are true.
  7. I would be surprised if the undisclosed fee is as much as 6 figures. Given the recent financial statement from the board I think this move is as much to do with saving money over the summer months as anything else. Sorry to see him go, was a good player, but not irreplaceable.
  8. are highlights of the game available anywhere?
  9. Is there not a tranfer embargo in place for that 3rd division mob? so unless Murphy has a prove-it card saying he is only 17 they can jog-on...
  10. It is not fair to judge McCall after such a short period of time, we still have a fair chance of top six and we may even sneak a result against United in the cup (providing it's not rained off). Some of the performances have been poor and reminiscent of the Malpish season. I do not see the threadbare squad as an excuse for this though as we have seen in recent years what good managers can get out of this group of players. The decision to play Hammell or Gunning at right-back was bemusing last night...
  11. Last I checked Dundee's ground it pretty local to Utd's - how many games have they had called off this season due to the unusually high rainfall?
  12. I'm sure I read that he was able to wangle the Blackman loan deal due to his relationship with Allardyce, so I am sure he will be on the phone to........ oh.... maybe not so much!
  13. any news on who will be in the dugout for this game?
  14. 1-0 defeat by Llanelli last season.
  15. There were some great performances in that season, but there were some gash one's as well. I remember v.s. Partick at Firhill where we needed a result to be guaranteed safety and the team just didn't turn up.
  16. From BBC Gossip Page: Hamilton are still hoping to sign Inverness's Dougie Imrie, Motherwell's Jamie Murphy and Kilmarnock's Craig Bryson despite having bids rejected for the players. (Daily Express)

    John Boyle

John Boyle has been involved with this charity for a number of years now. I think it is managed by former executive at Fir Park, Alastair Barron.
  18. From BBC Gossip Page: Motherwell are to take a look at Australian full-back Simon Storey, who turned down a new contract with Partick Thistle. (Daily Express)
  19. Barring any injuries I would settle to get just one more signing before the start of the season, a right back. I think that hutchison looks a capable deputy behind craigan and reynolds and Murphy and Sutton have looked good when they have played up front together.
  20. Slane & Forbes - get them signed onto long term contracts now....
  21. From BBC Gossip page: Motherwell have made moves for former Swindon defender Pat Kanyuka and Aston Villa striker Sam Williams. (Daily Express)
  22. From Article in the Evening Times: Meanwhile, Gannon, who admitted he was resigned to losing Quinn when he took over, has revealed his bid to land Stephen Jennings from Tranmere Rovers has fallen through after hitting a last-minute hitch. Anyone know anything about this??
  23. I thought Forbes had a good game and looks like a player but he spent to much of the 2nd half moving sideways and backwards instead of looking forward. Slane did enough in his 45 mins to get MOM, but it was embarrassing that we were having to rely on someone his age creating something.
