  1. Looks like ICT have car park issues. BBC report:- Inverness Caledonian Thistle are going to court in a bid to remove a settlement of travelling people from the club's home car park. The move comes ahead of the season opening game against Motherwell on Saturday. The club said it was hoped a court order to remove the encampment could be obtained at some point on Friday. The encampment comprises about a dozen caravans and a selection of trucks in the rear section of the car park.
  2. http://www.neilbrown.newcastlefans.com/motherwell/motherwell.html Lists a Willie Watters, made 61 appearances from 47-51.
  3. It was in the other league game at Hampden that year that Lambert fell backwards over an advertising hoarding trying to take a corner.
  4. Also remember a 3-0 win down there when Killie finished with 8 men, Gary Locke walked for swinging an elbow at Scott Leitch and Andy McLaren for going radge after taking pelters from the Well fans. only scorer I recall was Dougie Ramsey. Back on topic, I'd take a point, a repeat of the 1-1 at FP.
  5. Says a lot that they released a 17 year old early in the week, Celtic and West Ham are among those trying to sign him.
  6. Not sure if its already been mentioned elsewhere, from the BBC Gossip page: - Motherwell have replaced Bobby Jenks with Gary Owens as chief scout and the 46-year-old will be based in England as the Premiership strugglers try to uncover more talent from the lower leagues south of the border.
  7. Steve Lomas did a good job with a limited budget at St Johnstone, Didn't work out for him at Millwall but they seem to go through a few managers there. Imagine he'll still have a lot of contacts from his time as a player and coach in England. Unemployed so no compensation payment either.
  8. Deja vu. From the BBC Motherwell manager Stuart McCall "We created enough chances to win the game. We created more tonight than we have for a while so that was a positive. The bottom line is we lost the game but I can't criticise the players tonight. "I thought going in level at half time was unjust but that's football. We've lost a game that there's no way we deserved to. "When we're 1-0 up and in control we had good opportunities to go further ahead but we didn't take them and were punished."
  9. Is Steve Lomas still looking for a job?
  10. A curry and a couple of pints usually gets things moving for me.
  11. McHugh also notched a late winner against Aberdeen at FP a couple of years back to win the game 1-0.
  12. The biggest gripe is always the discrepancy between the number of home and away games each side has. This article on splstats suggests the most likely team to have 18 home games and 20 away will be Aberdeen as they have benefited most in the past, unlikely to happen imho bearing in mind the media love-in towards them this season. http://splstats.wordpress.com/2014/03/23/post-split-fixtures-201314/
  13. Someone posted his Twitter account a while ago, Darren Slade@TartanCopper2. Had a look, not only does he look a big Preston fan but he tweets when Chris scores or sets a goal up. He doesn't mention football often to be honest.
  14. JPR Gordon for the Cup Semi v Rangers, Louis Thow for the 'Chris McCart backpass' game, That prick Rowbotham for any Well game he did.
  15. I'm sure when they played Liverpool at the start of the season the front 2 were A Balde T Watt.
  16. Did Tommy O'Hara not start out with Celtic as well?
  17. Sorry, Allan Sneddon, wrong crap full back.
  18. Think Big Psycho left for Dundee at the same time as Albert Kidd, a popular player at FP even before he snatched the league title away from the Jambos. Another cult figure we lost in a double transfer was Ally Mauchlen, left for Leicester at the same time as Gary McAllister
  19. Memory might be playing tricks on me but think the pass to Walker was from another midfield maestro, Brian Wright. I do remember Walker and Smudger giving Celtic a torrid time at FP around the same time. Finished 1-1 but took an amazing fingertip save from Bonnar to stop us winning it.
  20. Paul Smith as well, sure Smudger managed in the lower divisions for a few years.
  21. Eddie May had a brief spell leading Falkirk to relegation iirc.
  22. Remember him playing, sure it was at Rugby Park. We had so many injuries that he played a young reserve forward called Paul Ferguson at right-back and then spent the first 45 minutes screaming abuse at the boy, blaming him for his own mistakes, before subbing him at half-time.
  23. What games are included in this. Says that Scotland have had 54 matches that been included between the start of May and the end of the year. Assume it includes the European matches as well as internationals from all age groups.
  24. Shame Buckie Thistle has already been taken.
