    Rangers

    Nobody. Shambolic stuff.
  2. Wrong team. No question. Hateley should have been at RB and I would have started Ramsden. 100% bottled it. Lasley, Hammell, etc. are good players who can have great games but in these types of games, with a whole career of defeats behind them, I think there is a mental deficiency straight away. Shambolic from management down to the players on the park. A lot of people let down by such a gutless and quite frankly pathetic performance.
  3. Coincidence.....and hopefully tonight proves that.
  4. Who is favourites to win the penalties?

    Sunday's Game

No one will walk away from Fir Park if we get beat on Wednesday. It is not my stance but I do think if we get heavily beat he will lose some support from those that aren't convinced by him. For the avoidance of doubt I think he has done a tremendous job. I was raging with his management of our team in injury time on Sunday though. He will still get my full support tomorrow night. If some lose faith after a heavy defeat tomorrow, if it happens, then that is their choice. I'll still be there on Saturday and he will get my support but I will, likely the same as everyone, be very, very, disappointed. Btw, calling him by his surname is not a sign of disrespect in my opinion. Plenty MFC players etc. are refered to in this way and no disrespect is intended.

    Sunday's Game

....and where did I say I would be one of those people?
  7. I think both Clubs will be hoping that, whilst there will be 'banter' between both sets of fans during the game, that there are zero issues before or even after the game regardless of the result. Emotions were running very high for a while and some officials (not with us) haven't helped things since te situation began in February. I'm sure the Club have done their homework and are aware of some issues at the Killie game - the first game at Ibrox after administration. Just another interpretation. I could be wrong.

    Sunday's Game

Close but as usual steelboy you are a mile out. People can lose faith in a manager in respect to certain or indeed all fixtures and still turn up at the games. Case in point many of us were completely scunnered by Malpas but we still went to Fir Park to support the team. Fans have lost faith in McCall when it has come to facing Rangers. If we get beat HEAVILY on Wednesday HE, not the TEAM or CLUB, imo, will lose some support. That is whst was referenced in my post. No mention of one defeat and people not going back to Motherwell games, home or away.
  9. Come 7.15 on Wednesday our players better not be. All that matters is what happens on the grass. Nothing else. A game of football needs to be won.

    Sunday's Game

I have yet to hear or see anyone saying they will 'walk away' from attending Motherwell games if we get beat on Wednesday. Until you show me otherwise I can only assume you are talking nonsense.
  11. I never accept the diddy cup stuff....I think the League Cup is my favourite competition due to the fact you know you are going to see a winner every tie you go to. I always think they have a different and sometimes more enjoyable atmosphere. I was more gutted after the penalty loss to Hibs last season than any other domestic match I can think of in recent times. Even the Cup Final which is a bit odd.
  12. Normally I'd go with the lack of bottle, belief, skill and too much respect line.....but this time I think we can beat them. A defeat and none of us should go back to the two grounds in Glasgow until the team start showing some true fight Seriousness of that statement can be picked over on Thursday morning

    Aberdeen

Higdon. Three games in a row I've picked the big man.
  14. It is just one game.....but it is massive. Financially good but to progress to QFs means more money and a real chance to get to SF considering who could be left. Biggest game of the season so far for me. By far....and I am including the Euro fixtures in that.
  15. Might not be popular but I'd go with; Randolph Hateley Ramsden Hutchinson Hammell Humphrey Law Lasley Murphy Higdon Ojamaa Kerr played in midfield when he came on against Killie and looked decent. He is a goal threat and I'd switch Humphrey to the left and take Murphy off for him if he is being bossed. No way are we gubbing Rangers. Not a chance. If we DO win it would be by two goals max. 2-1 us AET. We better win
  16. Cheers guys. Turned it aff at FT.
  17. Chat that our third was offside?
  18. I've got my ticket and for the first time in a very, very, long time I'll be going to Ibrox with hope and belief. Today doesn't change that. There is pressure on the management and players with regards to this fixture. McCall and players owe the fans a performance. As you can't draw this fixture only a win is good enough. Anything else will be seen as a failure.....and that is as much down to Berwick, Peterhead, Annan, and QOS than anything else.
  19. The whole process of going for the equaliser is down to the crowd. That's football, the nerves, the 12th man, the atmosphere (when there) etc. It makes the game. Obviously, the actual things that happen on the park are down to the players....and management. The management should have killed the game with a double sub, one after the other.
  20. We are certainly missing his experience. I would not be surprised to see Ramsden start at Ibrox.
  21. Oh absolutely. At 1-0 down I was desperate for a point. I got what I wanted.....but as in life never enough I think McCall will lose some goodwill if we get beaten by Rangers. If we get beat heavily I would even state he might lose one or two from the support. A mad sentence itself but times have changed and their recent results have been rank. 26-2 since he took over. I will be bitterly, bitterly, disappointed if we don't progress. No pride even in a penalty kick loss imo.
  22. The home team pretty much always gets a chance to score in the last 5 minutes of a game. The home crowd can certainly spur a team on in search of an equaliser. Their fans got a major lift when the second went in.
