  1. Stats for this Season (competitive games only) from what I can gather. Played 15 games in four competitions. Won 3 games. 4 games drawn. 8 defeats and out of three Cup conpetitions although two of them were very much expected. Goals scored: 13. Goals conceeded: 25. 1 clean sheet in 15 games. Scored in 6 of our 15 games. Conceeded very late goals in two games to deny victory. Three red cards. One og. Five (?) penalty kicks conceeded. Certainly doesn't make for impressive reading. Whilst we are in the top six the slide is evident.
  2. Missing Craigan? Ain't that the truth. Again, this has been one of Craigan's best periods for Motherwell. Just by not being in that defence shows how much organisation and leadership he carried out over the last few years.
  3. Thoughts on team and formation? I would go with; Randolph Hateley Ramsden Hutch (if fit) Hammell Humphrey Lasley Carswell Law Ojamaa Higdon 1-1 draw. Higdon for us.
  4. You always get better when you are not playing in a losing team. However, Page going to Accies at such a time speaks volumes about what McCall thinks of him and where his future lies. Should have been released/left in the Summer imo. He was given a new one year deal but was then allowed to go out on a months loan during our worst defensive (clean sheets wise) run in years. At least he finally knows where he stands. Surprised it took as much though.
  5. Some of them are really too old to believe the hype and should know better. Ability to play well consistently over a long period of time is the problem. Again, that is why they are playing football with us. Does any of our current squad have a winner's medal from their time in the game? Not that I recall. Higdon with St Mirren and our remaining Cup Final players came close. Guys who had played in England? Law, Ramsden, Daley, Humphrey, Hateley, Randolph etc.? I don't think so. A wee look at medal's cabinet should prevent most senior players getting carried away with 'hype'. Some have International Caps. That is quite an honour to be fair. If I was a player I'd be desperate to win a medal at senior level,, anywhere, before the end of my career. For some,.....and I'm casting the net very far and wide here, money is just reward for their career.
  6. The officials didn't cheat nor did they conspire to cost Motherwell the game. They were completely incompetent. Very, very, unusual that so many 'big' calls went against the truth and the one team in the same match. Scant consolation but I'm pretty sure we will be the recipient of some dodgy officiating before the end of the season that will see us walk away with three points when we maybe should only get one or possibly zero. Fingers crossed it is at Easter Road.
  7. Worst case scenario imo is 11th. Means we will be where we are right now come Oct '13. In the SPL. Sometimes that IS enough. More concerned with the fan apathy than events on the park. Mine included. Some folk I know are struggling to get themselves up for games. I for one will say if I currently didn't have a ST, I would have given tonight a miss. ESPN, pretty bloody cold, with a good game ratio of about 1 in 10. You can see why many choose the house/pub. It was cold tonight. If results are poor in December to February attendances could be embarrasingly low. For me it is the football on display that is getting on my nerves. From nearly every team in the league. Just rank on occasion. That's what happens when there is no money in the game. I have real concerns about the quality and depth we will have next season. However, short term muddle on to January and try and snaffle two loan deals for the obvious positions.
  8. Get over it and wring oot yer panties then.
  9. We got beat 4-0. End of story.
  10. And in my opinion you are wrong. Defence a LITTLE suspect???? One clean sheet in fifteen games is more than a little suspect.
  11. Even if you take away their two soft penalties AND give us the goal the final score is 1-2. Well beaten imo.
  12. We need to hope the SPL card, apart from the Celtic game, is full of draws tomorrow. A few crap results for us and we could be down to 8th (not a disaster) but more worryingly a couple of points off 11th. St Johnstone A, Dun Utd H, Dundee H, ICT A, Hearts H. November will be a big month that's for sure. I expect us to be 7th or 8th but a wee bit further agead of Dundee than the 9 point cushion we currently enjoy.
  13. Cheers Stipe. Officials were poor but I also thought we were garbage. Beaten without the cock ups from the officials imo. We were that poor.
  14. Really? A game lasts 90 mins. They should manage and organise their team for 90 mins. If they have visibly given up what kind of message is that to the players and fans? Very simply really.
  15. Nah but questions do need asked. However, I will concede that I don't relish him being at the coalface when it is time to rebuild an entire squad. For me he should move on in the summer. 2006-07 was the last rotter. We have been lucky to enjoy a good few seasons on the bounce. This could be our crap one again.....hopefully just one. Don't fear.....thanks to Dundee!
  16. McCall and Black sacked it after the third goal. Stood in silence about fifteen feet apart. Spoke volumes.
  17. Incapable of keeping a clean sheet.
  18. To be fair Higgy's membership is very rarely mentioned when he is getting dog's on a matchday.
  19. Our inability to keep a clean sheet (one all season in ALL competitions) is the biggest concern. Right now to win a game we need to score at least twice.....and as seen we can't always deliver that. I can see us doing that on Friday night though......but I can also see Hibs matching us. 2-2 Higdon and Ojamaa.
