  1. I was at every game you mentioned and countless others at Pittodrie. The 3-3 draw was the first visit I have missed in years.

Does a visit to Aberdeen interest me? Even in the SPL? Yes, it can depending on day and kick off of game.

Can I pretend I'm happy about a very difficult draw to a ground I've been to so many times when our possible opponents could have been nearly any other team or ground in the country? Nah.

One thing about travelling home and away for years, I'm sure you will be aware, is the hope of going somewhere or playing someone new. Not a team that we will play on the 1st and 26th December as well as having played once before this season.

I always hope for a wee bit more from the Scottish Cup due to the number if teams involved in the 4th Round. Inverurie and Stranraer away spring to mind.

The draw, and I can only speak for me, is a total disapointment.

I'd have felt the same if we had gotten any other SPL team away from home.

  2. A ground we visit at least once a season? Aye god forbid anybody would fancy a trip to an away ground they haven't been to before or a very winable tie against a non league or 3rd Division Club at home.

Although coming from one of, if not the least credible people on here, perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.

  3. A very hoarse nephew rang me from the bus on the way back. Seems he prefers away games to home games.....................reckon I was the same 30yrs ago.

Was talking to a few Dandies and a Hibee yesterday, who are still cock-a-hoop with the Hunless SPL but do share our sentiments regarding the quality of football and the price of tickets, and that was before the £5 car park was mentioned.

Seems the glass half-full viewpoint is sadly more widespread..............and the game itself should be concerned.

Absolutely. The home 'support' in many ways was a bit of a disgrace. Not known for having a vocal home support or even a big fanbase but considering they had won five out of their last six SPL games and could have went top I thought the atmosphere from their end might have been better this time.

Overall costs for tickets, parking, petrol, food etc. associated with the knowledge it was going to get cold in that stadium in the second half (it did) could be putting some of the locals off.

There was flashes of very good football but some of it was pretty poor at times as well.

For me the only thing that will 'resurrect' Scottish football is Celtic and Rangers being out the top league, SKY throwing us a skip full of cash, a highly competitive league being full of talented players with a good few teams being in with a shout at the league and/or Cup success, and a reduction in ticket prices thanks to the amount of TV money we have.

Some would also add sensible kick off times and dates and dropping Scotland off next to Tenerife but those are as likely as the suggestions mentioned in the previous paragraph.

  4. There was. Just after Fitzpatrick left and a few days after we humped Dundee 4-0 in the Cup. Terrible performance. What I remember most from that Utd game though was McCall getting it in the neck in the dying seconds after we had conceeded the second. I think it was his third game in charge

  5. Geed and Gaag make excellent points. My apathy with the game has nowt to do with our results. Thst would be very fickle and I have supported them through worse.

The cost of the game. The standard of football from the vast majority in the SPL. The garbage kick off times and date switching which for a shift worker is now far too much effort. The continuing slashing of our budget year on year. Players getting first team football well before they are ready. The never ending Ramgers saga.

Just some of the reasons for me. Hearts away was a big game for me. Not cause we got beat.....I honestly wasn't fussed. Cost, kick off time, live on TV, etc. and very poor crowd made me question what I was doing, prices involved and whst else I could be doing.

As an example that one game, about 5 hours out the house could have cost about £40-£50 when you take in ticket, travel, and food. That would get you, again for example, a THREE MONTH unlimited Lovefilm subscription.

Only an example but worth it? In my opinion it isn't anymore.

  6. for me mccall's time is up.

changing manager has worked well for us in the past. we got a boost when mcghee, gannon and brown came in and freshened the place up. we need someone who can overhaul the entire squad and mccall is not the man for the job. he's not even a good judge of players in our own squad, in april page plays at easter road and looks solid, makes two appearances this season and plays well yet he is on loan at accies whilst mccall's two summer signings make a laughing stock of us live on tv.

on the playing side i wouldn't be too gutted if hammell and lasley were the only current players still here next season. randolph, hateley, hutchy, law and murphy are all guaranteed to leave for more money elsewhere and higdon, humphrey, daley and ramsden are all imposters and should be hunted.

We can't afford to sack him even if we wanted to.

Page got sent off at Easter Road even if he took one for the team.

I agree about McCall NOT being the man for the rebuilding job in the summer.

  7. WHY ALL THE WHINGING IF WE WIN OUR GAME IN HAND WE ARE 2ND

If. Massive word even without Caps Lock.

However you are incorrect. We would be fifth. The game in hand also comes AFTER the next roubd of fixtures which could see us further behind.

Big game on Sat against a team that was a fag paper away from 6 SPL victories in a row.

Not sure if I'm going. I'll decide midweek. If it is on BBC Alba on a delay then it's a 100% no. It will be cut off from the outdide world between 3pm to 530pm. So......is it?

  8. Regardless of what he has done I really fail to believe the guy starts out a game with us thinking how he is going to screw us out of three points. If found guilty he potentially could be in the jail. For what? To screw us out of a win?

That would be some grudge? The guy is just totally incompetent. Shite at his job. Nothing else.
