  1. Only on Loan! Only on Loan Big John Ruddy he's only on Loan!!!!
  2. Theres only one jim gannon he's got a cock like a cannon big or small he fucks them all walking in a gannon wonderland!!!
  3. big stall i;ve almost admired your posts but were we watching the same game. this was never a tie to showcase your talent against a far superior side, slane was punted 6ft in the air everytime he got the ball, humphrey very seldom got the ball but like every other winger lives on service and as for coke yeah he missed a goalden opportunity but we shouldn't expect him to be fully up to speed for this match. i dont think anybody gave a bad account of themselves there is no way we will come accros that quality in the spl mon the well looking forward to seeing the week by week improvement john ruddy was a big plus what a penalty save
  4. Gutted we moved back to motherwell in 93 and that's when my dad started taking me to well games. Just like another poster it has once again brought home our own mortality. Best wishes to mowglis family during this time RIP Gone but not forgotten
  5. I've been reading a lot of posts on other threads and the general consensus seems to be there is no place like home. We have a lovely new bowling green of a pitch which we were due to christen against wigan, and for the sake of two days we are playing the steaua game in airdrie. Maybe i'm being impatient but part of me thinks the new bowling green should have it's maiden game against a decent opposition or glamour tie. Instead our first game will be against Kilmarnock, no disrespect to them but there not steau and there not wigan. I've made a wee poll to gather opinions, part of the reason that makes me want to play at fir park, is this time from the updates we've had on the parks progress it seems that everything possible has been done to improve the longevity of the pitch, so will we really have the same problems if we have one or two games on it before the season starts? I open the floor
  6. He can keep thinking that his arrogance and lack of respect for us as a club, is absolutely disgusting if this is true. He also predicts an easy home win for steau, underestimating our young team is folly just another politician doing what politician's do best talk complete and utter pish!
  7. Absolutely delighted at the progress i've seen from our young squad in recent weeks. And go into this game with renewed optimism another poster said in another thread. Steaua only entered the competition in the second round so even though they have a european trophy in there cabinet from 1986. Is it beyond us to beat this team? I expect this by far to be our toughest challenge yet but any tougher than borussia dortmund a few years back? I was thrilled last night and maybe i need to get my heads out of the clouds but i don't think for a second our team will feel over awed at the prospect of playing and beating steaua. MON THE WELL!!!
  8. Cheers big man it was our destiny
  9. I'm quite surprised that after we turned over the albanian minnows without hammell in the squad that people think his career is now over. What a load of shite, he's been a mainstay in our squad for years and had more assists last season than any other player. He needed a kick right up the backside, IMHO i felt in the first game against llanelli he looked completely disinterested. Gannon's message has been sent out and if he responds in the right way i'm sure he'll be back
  10. Absolutley magic my dad hasn't been to a motherwell game for months as he works away a lot. He's travelling out to work in serbia for 4 months on sunday and this is the best send off he could have ever hoped for. The lads were sensational tonight there have a go attitude is superb and massive respect to jim gannon for showing faith in the young talent we have at the club. If anyone heard the interview on the bbc "GAMBLE IT'S NOT A GAMBLE" very well said delighted can somebody scrape me off the ceiling i think i'll be stuck up here all nigh
  11. Time will tell after saunders running out of steam in the first leg i'd imagine he could be changed. but wouldn't bet on hammell being dropped. If its the case then it sounds as if job and reynolds will play as wing backs as apposed to left and right backs. Gannon looked to have been encouraging reynolds to push forward and penetrate teams from defence, i trust gannon even if we lose tonight a frustrating night is ahead i fear, this game very much hinges on the referree. If we have a ref who is going to slow the game down every 2 secs with free kicks then we could get frustrated. The game plan for flamurtari is probably going to be 11 men behind the ball and hit us on the counter, can't see that they have anything else they can offer other than that.
  12. If he's good in the air i think thats the most important part with the amount of balls that will be flung into the box. The fact that crags was able to mark him is a good thing, remember crags was part of the squad that beat england. With rooney and the others in tow so thats not a bad thing.
  13. what about gary mackenzie of dundee for a centre half remember the cup game a few years back got sent off?
  14. I've been reading quite a few post of the expectations for next season? We've lost a lot of players with reall quality and still seem capable of playing good football. The Pessimist will say we'll be lucky to survive whereas the optimists say they think we'll finish not only in the top six but maybe even achieve third. I'm undecided on the issue, i've been to two out of the three pre season games and watched the flamurtari game on live feed. I've seen us play some good football against teams i wouldn't regard as spl quality and lose twice. Then i feel i saw the real motherwell play in llanelli. We didn't deserve to lose either of them but we did lose. The signing we've seen come in are encouraging and there is a lot of excitement around gannon building what will be "his" team. So whats your thoughts?
  15. Interesting post given what we've seen of gannon, what realistic targets do you have for gannon top six? 3rd or a decent cup run?

As i've said before i love the new strip and the quality is top notch. We pride ourself as being able to think outside the box at motherwell. So why not have a local kit supplier? DAIWA Sports in Netherton I had a training hoodie out of there 5 seasons ago when i played for clyde rangers and still have it now, completely bulletproof lol I know people have there heart set on NIKE or Adidas but this must be a more realistic option for a club like ours even though it's not exactly a designer label. I'll probably get slated for even suggesting it as per usual.
  17. Dissapointed at some of the comments especially after the celebrations after goals and the way he used to come up to the fans. I'm not going to criticise him as a goalkeeper because at the end of the day he was one of the best in the spl and i'd give my left testicle to see him replace fraser
  18. Good effort big man i'm not even going to attemp your language. We hope to get you in the next round as well ref permitting!!
  19. At least i'm trying to make a topic of conversation, all i'm saying is that i'm pining to be back at fir park. Why do so many posters come on here just to be criticle of other posters?
  20. Totally gutted that we are still giving money away to airdrie for the use of there park. I'm nervous about the return leg as the pitch is quite narrow and we benefited from the extra width at parc y's scarlets to really go at llanelli. My main complaint about airdrie wasn't the midgies or the narrow park, it was the catering facilities. Flat cola in a polystyrene cup that couldn't hold half a can and it was flat. to add insult to injury they were charging over £2 for it. I'm the mug for agreeing to it but my lady wife needed a drink in the heat, so what can you do. I'll definately be getting capri sunned out of my actual nut for the flamurtari game though. Just would be nice to know if we somehow surpass them that we would get to play steaua at fir park as our first match on our new bowling green!!!!
  21. Thats a bit much eddie your going to start a political war!!! Your comments are way off the mark as scotland is one of the poorer countries in the eu, if you measure the amount off funding we get. Anyway LABI If you saw the game tonight you have to concede that your team was chasing the ball about and couldn't get a hold of it. It was a class finish by your boy but really was the only real chance you had, i fancy our chances as if we can dominate your team as much as that with laddies from our youth team then adding jenning and the hump to our team should give us an edge. When i believe your locker is empty
  22. Eddie that's a bit out of order big man lets just slag all the unfortunates and poorer countries in europe. When scotland is one of them!!!! Labi I
  23. Any chance of getting parc y's scarlets for our home game much better than airdrie
  24. you can't blame hime for the goal it was a decent shout i needed to vent my rage at sum1 and he's an easy target. I love the if u use capital letters in a sentence and use more than one exclamation mark then you must know nothing about football remark. Seriously you shut the fuck up. You talk more pish than i do lol
