  1. Maybe they were hedging their bets on being humped in the 1st leg and thought about saving some cash by a non appearance in the 2nd leg?? Was really looking forward to a competitive match, so hopefully it can get sorted out ASAP.
  2. Apologies for the negative to this thread. I met Brian Heron's son on holiday recently and he's apparently had a major stroke and is now in a nursing home. He was a bit before my time, so maybe others can fill in what type of player he was etc..
  3. Maybe it's just Scott's level of reporting. The man who brought us Bucky Cheescake or something similar. He seems reliant on knocking the area in which he grew up in. But we all have to make a living.

Your just part of the conspiracy Fraz!! Ok, what is the main colour of said kit?

Ta! I never read that far back. I'll sit next to Purestate in the anticipation of a picture of the new strip.

Not to sound sceptical, when do we get to see the away kit?? I think the main concern is that we don't have an away kit for the team for the season, given that there has never been any pictures or displays. Replica's are not the issue here (although they are for club and PSL as a form of revenue).

But what about the away kit?? Are we going to turn out in the Claret training gear?? Do we ask opposition to wear their away kit and play in 1st strip all season. A wee bit of info now that its hit the fan wouldn't go a miss.

Preston website says they intend to wear the Canterbury strips through 09/10 season. They have an away kit however!!

Administrators seem to think that the whole group is struggling, as out with Europe are looking for reinvestment.

How long before the request for kit from the club comes out to get them through the season?? Hope ye's haven't washed them too much.

They are now but..... Canterbury Europe
  12. You can watch it online here, but you'll have to make your own commentary; Clickster
  13. The Daily Express probably read it here, lazy journalism!!
  14. I would imagine we'll see Clarkson Quinn Hughes Reynolds Klimpl G Smith all out of the door, somewhere or other over the next few weeks. Maybe only Hughes going to sheepyville.
  15. Personally I think its a smokescreen, as he'll not commit until the great unwashed confirm Mowbray.
  16. Like most of the rest of us, if a better offer with more opportunities came around, we'd all look into it. Personally, I'm not too bothered if MMG moves onto something else. With our limitations, how far really, would you expect someone to take our club each season?? Come the poll of where everyone will finish next season, many like me would vote for us to stay up. This way the club has a realistic chance of survival. I'd also like to point out that this season we have qualified for Europe by 'default'. Okay, we've qualified 2 years in a row, but if others hadn't qualified (and they had the same disciplinary record) then we've had a mediocre season of finishing 7th. If MMG does go, I'd like the club to have a bit of ambition, and maybe again, employ someone who is 'bigger than the club'. This would draw players to the club and also retain some of those already here.

Excellent shirt, wee set of white shorts would have topped it off, but overall not disappointed.
  18. I'd put Rab McKinnon at left back and 'The Cobra and Coyle' up front, but that ain't going to happen, so we have to make do with what we've got. Now's not the time to experiment. But yes, something has to change, for me Hammel is not the player he was before he went to Southend. Yes, we are weak on the left!
  19. Have a shufty here; Clickster I'm off to change my profile in case the Triads are watching!!!
  20. What was it those Asians were murdered for in Newcastle a while back?? Were they no reporting back on 'live' games??

Like 99.99% of the home support, we're born Scots, and looking at the threads in Compost Corner 99.99% are proud to be born that way. When fellow Scots like McGeady and McCarthy decide to turn their back on their own country, for the sake of 'an adoptive country', I think we're well entitled to hurl abuse. I worked beside McGeady's uncle and he was a bitter, twisted c**t with a dual nationality/passport so no doubt its probably been infused in him from day 1. But... and there's always a but, can we welcome guys like Kris Commons and James Morrison without dishing out the same abuse, although its hardly likely they will play in the SPL?? Anyhow, you pay your money and you take your chances at being lifted for a racist. Personally I think their scum and deserve all they get.
  22. Exiled in Dublin (again), that made me laugh. First time on here for a while.
  23. Here, here!! I think the people within are believing their own propaganda. And here ends the club. Its doesn't need yes men or the 'rising stars' of an half baked airline, to take the club forward. The people on the outside aren't paid to buy into these things!! Time for a change!!!!! (if only someone had the cash!!)
  24. I seem to recall lots of talk of the undersoil causing the drainage problems and that it would be sorted post season. But 1st cold snap and surprise, surprise game off. The pitch certainly hasn't been renewed so are we to guess that the u/s heating is still fecked (although in places) or a its a. act of god b. fotgotten to be turned on c. mechanical breakdown d. yet another excuse Its a football club yet again being run as a 2 bit operation. I see the FlyZoom hangers on are now being employed. The synergies between football and airlines are??????? Wait for another couple of postponements and it will be out fault for not turning up in numbers.
