  1. I see Kelly has been named the vice captain. I'm surprised they have just announced O'Donnell as captain just now as he was wearing the armband in all the League Cup games. I know Ross County had that as an incentive when they were trying to sign that Ash Taylor when we were interested but I was always confident it would be some who had been on board last season such as O'Donnell, Kelly, Donnelly or Watt.
  2. Posted a few mins ago on the official Facebook page. Tickets for our cinch Premiership opener with Hibernian are now on general sale. Get yours by calling 01698 333333 or by visiting the ticket office at Fir Park. https://bit.ly/3BSSkXn
  3. Same here but funnily enough seats wise I'm three rows further forward but the same seat number.
  4. Quote from the official site in regards to Slattery. "The 22-year-old midfielder moves on a permanent basis from English Premier League side Southampton for an undisclosed fee." I wonder if it was nominal, when Kelly was signed nothing was mentioned about a fee or such from Motherwell's side so I would assume free.
  5. Obviously Rangers and Celtic will take the top two berths as per. Hibernian haven't really brought anyone in or lost anyone of note apart from the keeper, Marciano. They done well last season and expect them to be third again. So with that in mind I think its anyone's guess for the last nine places it just boils down to however can maintain some semblance of consistency. I'm optimistic that we can do well under Alexander, if we can get a few more quality additions and avoid that ludicrous amount of injuries I'm confident we can enjoy some mid table mediocrity at the very least. Under Robinson, each and every season in the league we started slowly with last year being the worst, it would be most welcome to get the three points on Sunday. Aberdeen were very poor from January until the end of the season, but I can see them start to decline now. They have added Brown who was very poor with Celtic last season and the likes of McGinn and Hayes seemed to be winding their careers down as they're now 34. On paper they have a quality squad but I think they'll struggle to match what they have done in recent times. I think the relegation candidates will likely be Livingston, Ross County and Dundee perhaps.
  6. I think the guy had actually been on trial in late June.
  7. Yeah it's on TV. In fairness the last two games at Fir Park against Hibs that fans could attend brought a crowd of just under 6000. I wonder how it will work for our tickets, I assume just a random seat in our normal stand.
  8. Yeah I agree, strange that we all need to apply and hope for the best. What is our season ticket number roughly? Just over 5000 or so? It was Hibs that officially announced this an hour or so ago. It'll be frustrating if some season ticket holders miss out while away fans get in. I'm also assuming the 2000 fan's is now on top of the 4500 well fans.
  9. I see Hibs have announced that they have been given 2000 seats for the game this weekend.
  10. Just waiting on international clearance.
  11. Really happy with the addition of Slattery, a highly rated youngster who was on the cusp of breaking into the Saints first team and enjoyed a small run in the first team in early 2019, he also has some experience in the Dutch league and English League One. Just doing some quick research the current Saints manager was recently raving about him and saying he was perhaps the pick of the bunch of youngsters to look out for. Sounds like we have been trying to sign him for months, hopefully the addition proves to be worth the wait.
  12. I should have added, season ticket holders will get another email to enter another ballot. I'm not sure what the deal is with away supporters and that at the moment.
  13. 4500 allowed in for league opener versus Hibs
  14. Is anyone else getting weird stuff happening in regards to paying for the League Cup game tickets? They charged me for the first game then refunded some, charged me for next game then refunded some then charged me again.
  15. Well that was as poor as it gets I'm afraid. Lets just hope any future additions and the players currently out of action can help us push forward. Onwards to Saturday now, I can see another hard slog in that tie.
  16. Not much in that to disallow that goal
  17. Lovely ball from that free kick, just a shame the finish wasn't buried.
  18. Free stream is decent enough atm. http://www.hesgoal.com/news/83205/Airdrieonians_vs_Motherwell.html
  19. Team news Kelly, O'Donnell, Lamie, OConnor, McGinley, Maguire, Crawford, Cornelius, Lawless, Woolery, Watt Subs Fox, Carroll, Van Veen, Amaluzor, Donnelly, Johnston, Parker, C O'Donnell, McLeod
  20. It's the old doubled edged sword, with the shorter contracts we have been able to move players on that have not been setting the heather on fire but at the same time the ones who you would love to keep move on without a curdy of compensation. It seems other clubs esph down south know about our diamonds in the youth system and they're even moving on before they get into our first team. We have had a different approach this season as Kelly, Shields and Woolery are all on three year deals hopefully this gives us a chance to start building some more consistency within the squad but in saying that if any generous offers came in, if they perform well then they will be off. I'm hopeful that any signings going forward would be players expected to start, it seems to have been a slow process this year as Robinson always seemed to have most of his business wrapped up prompt.
  21. That was me that was next to you lol. I had arrived at 2 and went in early as I assumed it might have been more of a hassle getting in and seated. The Stewards were good initially helping fans find their seats but as it got busier they just left everyone be, I noticed a few folk bumping into friends decided to just sit together. Obviously quite surprised my seat was right next to others, I thought I might have missed out on the ballot as I only wanted one seat.
  22. I thought we were passing the ball around nicely, a lot more fluent than Wednesday night. QOTS were happy to sit back and soak it all up, we were warned on a few occasions we they hit on the break. Watt was unlucky with his chance, need to get a goal back early doors but has that feeling we could play all night without hitting the back of the net.
