  1. Shocking defending. Lucky to get away with that.
  2. Free stream http://www.hesgoal.com/news/84405/St_Johnstone_vs_Motherwell.html
  3. St J fans not happy as Jason Kerr is missing for the lineup. Other than that much of a muchness from them.
  4. Kelly, Carroll, Lamie, Mugabi, O'Donnell, Maguire, Slattery, Donnelly, Woolery, Shields and Van Veen. Subs : Fox, Lawless, Ojala, McGinley, Amaluzor, Watt and Crawford.
  5. One change from last week with Shields in for Watt.
  6. Great win for Allan Campbell on his debut in a 3-0 win for Luton. Jermaine Hylton plays for Newport County as they beat Oldham Athletic who had Jacob Blyth up front. James Scott comes on as a late sub for Hull City. Chris Long on the bench for Crewe, he didn't make an appearance but fellow well player Chris Porter did.

I think Andy P is now the shirt sponsor of Liam Grimshaw.
  8. In fairness did we not have to patch a side together that game, young Johnston in at right back with Magloire making his first start, plus I'm certain the second goal was well offside. This fixture was on the back of that 4-1 defeat against While it's usually a tough nut to crack, esph at McDiarmid Park, I feel the mid week exercisions for them in Europe will cost them when we play them, if we can repeat Sundays efforts I'm going for a 3-0 win. I think we will start the same eleven, looking forward to seeing what Ojala adds the the team.
  9. I would assume it would be a loan as he is only a year and half into his contract, he has two years left on his deal with Hull having an option of one more year, a bit early to give up on their investment seeing he's still only 20. I've not really seen much of him since he left tbh. They really do like an ex well player down Paisley these days, trying to recreate the 2018/19 side.
  10. Apparently the tickets were sold out. I'm just assuming lots of season ticket holders applied for their ticket obviously got them but never came along for whatever reason. Enjoyed the atmosphere all the same.
  11. I must say the two crosses from Carroll today were lovely for the goals hopefully more of the same on that front. I'm not disputing the penalty but I thought we were unlucky on that front, O'Donnell has his hand by his side but as he swivels at the last millisecond to block the shot it looks like his arms well outstretched.
  12. Really enjoyed the game, felt we were quite unfortunate to come away empty handed. Hibs were extremely lucky with there two goals from open play with the ball landing right to the feet to the forward. I seen the BBC mentioned Hibs hadn't conceded a headed goal in the whole of the last league season, nice to see we have added that threat to our side. They have a settled side where ours will take time to gel, I feel so much more confident than I was a week previously. The consistency of our refs in games is shocking but that's not new. Nice to see a bigger attendance getting into the stadium today, missed that.
  13. I'm looking forward to the game today, like others have stated I actually like the fact that we will have away fans in attendance as well as it will add to the atmosphere. It'll be interesting to see if any the new boys start today, I wouldn't be surprised to see Slattery start but the game might be a tad too soon for Ojala. Boyle's pace through the middle is a worry especially up against Lamie but tbf he has coped well against him in previous encounters, just need to try and nullify his threat. A few ex players in the ranks in the shape of Murphy and Cadden. I've mentioned it in another thread but under the last four season under Robinson our start to the League campaign has been poor taking at least a few games to get any points on board, with last year being the worst, it would be most welcome to get the three points on the first day. I noticed that the subs issue has reverted back to three instead of five.
  14. I see Kelly has been named the vice captain. I'm surprised they have just announced O'Donnell as captain just now as he was wearing the armband in all the League Cup games. I know Ross County had that as an incentive when they were trying to sign that Ash Taylor when we were interested but I was always confident it would be some who had been on board last season such as O'Donnell, Kelly, Donnelly or Watt.
  15. Posted a few mins ago on the official Facebook page. Tickets for our cinch Premiership opener with Hibernian are now on general sale. Get yours by calling 01698 333333 or by visiting the ticket office at Fir Park. https://bit.ly/3BSSkXn
  16. Same here but funnily enough seats wise I'm three rows further forward but the same seat number.
  17. Quote from the official site in regards to Slattery. "The 22-year-old midfielder moves on a permanent basis from English Premier League side Southampton for an undisclosed fee." I wonder if it was nominal, when Kelly was signed nothing was mentioned about a fee or such from Motherwell's side so I would assume free.
  18. Obviously Rangers and Celtic will take the top two berths as per. Hibernian haven't really brought anyone in or lost anyone of note apart from the keeper, Marciano. They done well last season and expect them to be third again. So with that in mind I think its anyone's guess for the last nine places it just boils down to however can maintain some semblance of consistency. I'm optimistic that we can do well under Alexander, if we can get a few more quality additions and avoid that ludicrous amount of injuries I'm confident we can enjoy some mid table mediocrity at the very least. Under Robinson, each and every season in the league we started slowly with last year being the worst, it would be most welcome to get the three points on Sunday. Aberdeen were very poor from January until the end of the season, but I can see them start to decline now. They have added Brown who was very poor with Celtic last season and the likes of McGinn and Hayes seemed to be winding their careers down as they're now 34. On paper they have a quality squad but I think they'll struggle to match what they have done in recent times. I think the relegation candidates will likely be Livingston, Ross County and Dundee perhaps.
  19. I think the guy had actually been on trial in late June.
  20. Yeah it's on TV. In fairness the last two games at Fir Park against Hibs that fans could attend brought a crowd of just under 6000. I wonder how it will work for our tickets, I assume just a random seat in our normal stand.
  21. Yeah I agree, strange that we all need to apply and hope for the best. What is our season ticket number roughly? Just over 5000 or so? It was Hibs that officially announced this an hour or so ago. It'll be frustrating if some season ticket holders miss out while away fans get in. I'm also assuming the 2000 fan's is now on top of the 4500 well fans.
  22. I see Hibs have announced that they have been given 2000 seats for the game this weekend.
  23. Just waiting on international clearance.
  24. Really happy with the addition of Slattery, a highly rated youngster who was on the cusp of breaking into the Saints first team and enjoyed a small run in the first team in early 2019, he also has some experience in the Dutch league and English League One. Just doing some quick research the current Saints manager was recently raving about him and saying he was perhaps the pick of the bunch of youngsters to look out for. Sounds like we have been trying to sign him for months, hopefully the addition proves to be worth the wait.
  25. I should have added, season ticket holders will get another email to enter another ballot. I'm not sure what the deal is with away supporters and that at the moment.
