  1. Well what can you say about today, superb, professinal performance from us,no it was a bit more than than that, that was two teams from the same league and there was quite simply a gulf in class today and you cant say that too many times when we are involved, just watched the game again on tv,saw lennon at the game,if they get to the final, even they will be a bit worried about us,if we have everyone fit and on the top of their game, what a day we could be in for in may.

  2. Nothing to confirm these fixtures on official spl site, think these are the fixtures doing the rounds on the kilmarnock forum, they have these fixtures for us but they have killie playing both sides of the old firm at rugby park, and dundee united playing both away.in the last few seasons dont celtic and rangers play away on last day so they cant argue about getting an advantage.Until the fixtures are confirmed i am taking these with a pinch of salt.

  3. Reporting Scotland on just now and sports headline shouted out

Goalposts moved, no contract talks at Motherwell until after Hampden trip.

doesnt make me happy and reading through the link in the above post, shows that in typical fashion the delay could cost Motherwell, with players being in a stronger bargaining position after possible success and being in the spotlight

The club only got the top 6 place cemented on saturday, now they know what they can offer the players, problem is if you opened talks this week you have the players minds on contracts not 100% on the cup game. The club have decided to wait till after the game,i tend to agree with that.

  4. I know everybody seems to be getting a bit nervous with the big game coming up,this question might only add to that so sorry in advance for asking, but which of the players are in danger of missing the final if they get booked on saturday,i remember Randolph getting booked at Dens, any others in danger?Forgot to add im asking this because i have noticed its Brines who is the ref.

  5. As much as I really like Humphrey and Jennings as players there is no way I can see either of them playing in the Premiership next year.

If either of the teams get relegated then it could be a shout but in the Premier, severely doubt it! Would not sell Humphrey for less than £1m either.

I wouldnt say Humphrey or Jennings couldnt get moves to the premiership after all did anyone think Conor Sammon would not only get a move to a premiership side but also get game time.If he can do it just about anyone can.

  6. Think the reason they are so angry about this is that, this is the 2nd time this season we have nipped in at the last minute and stole a player they thought they were signing,we did it to them at the start of the season with Alan Gow as well.

  7. Apart from the match itself and the aftermatch parties,my lasting memory would be heading through Brandon Parade on my way to the pub pre match, the place was heaving, saw a space ahead just near Woolworths, headed straight towards it,only to find Hazel Irvine doing interviews for the telly with the fans, and i had walked right through the shot and fucked it up for her,she called me for everything didnt realise she knew half those words.

  8. Only one problem with playing Hateley at right back, read in the Evening Times yesterday that Mcall says he picked up an ankle injury in the Killie game as well as Saunders,we also have Hammell and Jeffers struggling for the replay,he says Jeffers is the least serious out of the 4,but more than likely all 4 will be out,not good!!!!

  9. It's the parents that choose to send their weans there, not the big bad catholic church working in the shadows.

I dont normally get involved in these types of debates,i come from a mixed marriage one parent a catholic one a protestant,so religion has never played a big part in my life, but the comment above is a little much maybe the catholic church wasnt working in the shadows and it is the parents choice, but the catholic church most certainly put pressure on the politicians of the day to provide the funding to set up these segregated schools in the first place.

  10. Rumour that celtic were speakin to him after the game about signing next season. Make of it what ye will..

Well it has to be just that a rumour because unless they have agreed a fee with us they have no right to be talking to him,if he keeps up his current form Celtic would not even be able to afford him anyway,i think the premiership will be where he ends up,hopefully not for another season though.

  11. The part i was more interested in was interviewer asking him about the enquiry that Celtic made for him in January, the way the club is being run at the moment would not expect him to be here next season,1st half decent offer and he will be offski.

  12. I know craigans injury happened with the N.I. squad but have we changed training methods or is it just bad luck because we suddenly seem to be picking up a lot of hamstring injuries recently,Saunders twice,Lasley was only recently back from one,Hammell and now Craigan.

  13. Just had a look at Gunning's profile on the Blackburn website. It shows him as having 1 sub appearance for Blackburn this season and 2 appearances for Bury??

    Another feck up looming??

Had a look at their website does say he made a sub appearance on his personal player blurb but no sign of his name on the squad appearance list, looks like a mistake on their website.

  14. I'd take Porter or Clarkson ahead of Arnott any day of the week...

Must be on a fishing expedition to say that, dougie would be miles ahead of those two given how long he spent here and his overall performances,i take that back he would miles ahead of those two just for his two goals in a certain semi-final v Celtic alone.

  15. 93-94 we were closer points wise,94-95 we were closer placings wise, but its still on the club honours page as being league runners up 94-95,nothing about 93-94.i would have thought placings were more important than points!!!!We had 54 points both seasons.

  16. Found this on the Net. Sound like it might be a deal.

On January 24 2011, it became strongly rumoured that Rotherham had accepted a bid from SPL side Motherwell. for the midfielder. Motherwell's manager Stuart McCall, whom Law played under at Bradford, confirmed this:

It is true that we have enquired about Nicky and are making progress with our enquiry. We still need to go over a few things but from speaking to Nick he is up for the challenge and I can't see any reason why the deal won't go through. He is out of contract in the summer so Rotherham have given us the go-ahead. He's certainly a player the fans will like.

Can i ask the poster of this exactly where he found this on the net as i saw this on wiki word for word yesterday when it emerged we were looking at Law,wouldnt think Mccall would make a statement like this about any player prior to him signing, just does not sound like comments any manager would make.another case of someone taking the pi@@ on wiki methinks.

  17. Was looking through our club pages on the bbcs 606 site and there is a Walsall fan on it asking if we have heard of one of their players who has just been released who is according to him joining us Steve Jones 34 year old injury prone ex Northern Ireland international forward, looked him up on wiki and its got him down as having joined us as of today,i really hope this is a piss take.

  18. Cheers for the info Pele. I stand corrected.

A particular low point for me that season was the 4-3 defeat to Clyde in a SC replay at Fir Park. Did Nicky Walker not drop the ball into the net or something?

That one i do remember we had swapped Willie Irvine for Bobby Flavell, who then scored an og in that cup defeat.

  19. Commonly referred to as the dark days

Ooft - hatchet job - £850K debt - club on the brink etc

A couple of 6s and a 7 vs the OF in quick succession if I mind right as well.

Pretty sure your talking about the 84-85 season when Tommy Mclean took over after we were relegated had to get rid of the high earners, and bring in dross for the 1st division like Derek Murray at left back jeez i still get a shiver just thinking how bad he was,we then had to sell Mcallister and Mauchlen to Leicster for £250k to survive. Our first 2 home games in 82-83 were 2-2 v rangers then a 0-7 v celtic
