  1. I was reading the pre match injury report on the bb website and craig leveins comments said it was going to be a tough game because it was being broadcast live?

Is this bad reporting or is it on sky sports, espn or bb alba i've checked the listing and can't see a thing !!!

Although it is badly worded what Levein is saying is how his team plays against us when the game is not live on tv after having the game v celtic which was live

  2. Feelings are understanably running high because of these idiots but lets not lets allow them to take over this thread, if we need to open another thread and discuss,so be it but imo they aint worth it,total scumbags oh and two nil us my prediction

  3. Am i missing something here, aren't Coke and Hateley on 1 year contracts with an option for a 2nd year which i'm sure the club will take up,so really they are on 2 year deals.I think the idea behind these deals would be that because the are young and coming up from England it saves the club having to pay a years wages if the player doesn't settle up here and wants to move back down south which in these two cases doesn't look likely.

  4. Can't believe this thread is on it's 5th page and no one has mentioned another of our previous managers either that or i'm getting old and not many do remember him.1982-83 season we have just been promoted and Jock Wallace takes over after Davie Hay feks off to america. We had an excellent championship winning side that broke upteen records on their way to the title. This fanny takes over and totally dismantles it replacing the bulk of the side with has beens like johannes edvaldsson and alex forsyth wouldn't have minded if they had been given a chance and weren't up to it but he just wouldn't play them .half way through the season swapped Willie Irvine for Bobby Flavell.Irvine went on to be top scorer in scotland the next season, then to top it all he leaves and heads back to ibrox after that season and we get relegated total wank.

  5. Our deal probably held up due to Lescott & Bilyaletdinov transfers perhaps

Everton need to get their act together, don't they realise the hassle they have caused us,these boards have almost been in meltdown because of this delay, all this because they wanted to do a couple of multi million pound deals first, jeez some people :P

  6. Anybody else think the reason we are not hearing anything on our new striker might be we may have been beaten to the signing by some other side,J.G did say that this signing would probably be a loan which to me says there was a chance of getting him in permanently.Could it have been Stokes? hope i'm wrong, but just a thought...

  7. P&B is also a site where Falkirk and St Mirren are considered two of the best teams in Scotland.

And your saying that there not.... :P the only people who say that are mentally retarded ......no wait ,sorry that just about covers those two's whole support  sorry my bad.............

  8. I'm ambivalent about these kind of books. Yes, they are interesting social history, yet by definition they tend to glamorise violence, giving a nostalgic romance to what was thuggery. Is such mindless brutality worthy of analysis ?

By your own definition then you would be ambivalent about any history books to do with war ,after all war is only violence, thuggery and mindless brutality made legal by politicians, yet at the same time to quote yourself"nostalgic romance" is relived in the stories of the veterans who fought in them, who could find the best in the worst of situations. What you have to realise is that even in the timescale of when this book and others like them are based its a generation ago, things change and for anyone to take todays values and transfer them to things that happened a generation or generations ago are not making comparisons that can be judged fairly

  9. That would indeed be the case if he were under contract. Unfortunately it appears as if HE IS NOT. I am sure I read in one of the papers today that he would like to stay at Motherwell. Problem is - if he keeps playing the way he is of late then he is/will attract interest of many other clubs.

If that happens it will be Ross McCormack all over again. All we will be due is compensation. Which at the going rate for a Motherwell player is likely to be £56.79p

I'm pretty sure he is under contract or why else is he playing with us,thing is i think he will be on a contract for an under 19 and reserve player and now would be entilted to an improved contract as a 1st team player at least i hope thats the case.

  10. Think we still need 5 players if i'm being greedy...1 a keeper who commands his penalty box,2 a right back,3 a 6ft plus centre half, and 2 strikers a target man and a smaller nippy player to play off him surely thats not to much to ask for :D
