I see the united chairman, Thompson, has said he knows what the fans want, but he is caught in the middle of an impossible situation.
I recon we (the fans) are going to be royally shafted by the powers that be.

If I remember rightly, I witnessed a pitch invasion against United a good few years ago and the United fans hadn't left and were getting agro from a small section of well fans on the pitch. It could quite easily have turned nasty.

Early Celtic goal, making me wonder why I bothered getting a ticket. Then an unexpected equaliser near the end of the first half (probably not courtesy of Ojamaa). Second half all Celtic, no chances for Motherwell, but we still manage to hang on for 1-1.

I didn't notice if anyone had already mentioned it, but don't forget that Celtic still want to win the league properly, i.e. by more than ten points.
Unless I'm mistaken are they not already 18 points clear.

Yesterday was the first time I have seen higdon play and I thought he put in a very good shift. Not only getting the two goals but he also won countless headers. Some of the flicks were straight to Humphrey in a good position.
More of the same please.

Could be worse mate. You could be offshore with no radio, just this site and the shite BBC for coverage. According to the BBC site there was nearly 8 mins stoppage time and now we are just into extra time!!!!!

I had never heard of the Stiff Little Fingers song before.
However just realised a had a copy of it on my hard drive.
Would be a great song for the team to come out to, hopefully lifting the roof off the place.

Why can't you let journalists get on with their job of reporting? Just coz you don't like what they write doesn't change the fact that these stories appeal to the Old Firm fans who would make up the majority of their readers. So they are writing stories that will sell papers and therefore doing their job well. And although often just lazy like coping a story from the official site to the Old Firm fans that story would be seen as a scoop because i very much doubt many of them ever visit the Motherwell official site.
That would be fair enough Ian if the story was in a newspaper, but it was published on the BBC's website. And unless I'm mistaken as a licence payer we pay for such drivel to be 'reported'.

Aye coz it's the first time Murphy has been linked with either of the OF ever. Do you HONESTLY think the tabloids are trying to 'unsettle' our players by reporting about them? Why would it even bother them?
Yip, I actually do think they enjoy unsettling players as they are so old firm biased it is beyond belief.

With less than a week until we face Rangers at Fir Park the BBC website has decided now is a good time to publish an interview with Jamie Murphy all about potential transfer speculation.
Only ommission was the words old firm in the article.
Why can't they just let players get on with doing their job on the field????

TBH I've always argued against summer fitba' until last year. Yon severe weather and the ridiculous Health & Safety laws brought me to the conclusion we need to change the timing of our season. But July? No danger, that's holiday time, we can play up to June but no games before the Fair's oot. It's essential.
Your suggestion would give us ample time for a winter and summer break so that's another
fae me. I would prefer 18 mind. 
That sounds like a good idea, but the problem is the whole of Scotland does not get the same "fair fortnight".
So which two weeks do you choose not to play in??
