  1. I assumed Leeane would also be out in Spain, not that it makes a huge difference really, it might just slow things up a bit. Ryan Stevenson is discussing terms and according to several sources in the media is close to signing - I'd say there was a slight chance that he'll sign for us before Aberdeen or Sevco. Craig Brown apparently told Aberdeen fans at a roadshow thing recently that he wasn't interested in Ryan Stevenson anyway - it was on a twitter discussion between a few of their fans last night.
  2. Maybe due to McCall being in Spain? Sure it'll be resolved in plenty of time!
  3. Hammell at centre half?! Think Johnny Page might be starting there... Also Nicky Devlin is out on loan.....
  4. If we get two hundred pounds as a transfer fee there will be meltdown on here!! Can't see Barnsley accepting such a low bid either....
  5. I don't disagree that £200k is a decent starting point either, it all depends whether Humphrey wants to swap a pretty much guaranteed starting spot (when fit) for a likely squad place. I get that the wages etc would be better, but it's sometimes not all about that. For me, I'll be surprised if this happens, but if £200k allows us to sign a couple of players to bolster the squad then fair enough.
  6. If he's out of contract at the end of the season, then the choice of £200k now or £0k at the end of the season might be a factor in accepting any bid. However, as things stand, this is all just Daily Record speculation at the moment.
  7. The whole squad needs to go, undefeated so far in the league but not nearly good enough judging by comments on here. According to the father and son cheerleading team behind me yesterday we've signed some guy called Heffernan on loan, but he's worse than a man down apparently so that'll be a waste. For the removal of doubt, that was sarcasm and they were hounding Hetherington but couldn't even pay him the respect of getting his name right or have the basic knowledge to realise he was a young guy making his debut from the youths. I'm not convinced the McFadden deal is as dead as the reports suggested last week, McCall's comments indicated that both he and McFadden were keen to deal but some details needed ironing out. I'll still be surprised if he signs, but I just don't think it's completely dead. A central midfielder is a must though.

    Ojamaa

How come the players who performed so well to finish third are suddenly all shite in the eyes of many? I genuinely think I've read almost every player being dismissed as not good enough. They win as a team and lose as a team. Ojaama and Higdon linked up well at times last season and can do again, he also linked well with Humphrey, Law and Murphy.

    Ojamaa

Keith Lasley was taken off against St Johnstone and headed straight up the tunnel. It was later established that he wasn't well and that was the reason for it. Ojaama may have a perfectly valid reason for his brief visit to the dressing room, but it's probably best to wildly speculate and castigate the guy I suppose....

    Levante Cd

If it's a singalong you want then I'd go for the songs that have been adapted as songs for the players; Baby Give It Up, Our House etc.... Up The 'Well for sure!
  11. No, you just can't buy one that a season ticket holder sits in.... you can buy any of the other ones.
  12. You maintain week in week out that every team in the SPL is better than Motherwell and will beat us comfortably. Last season; Motherwell 3rd Dundee Utd 4th Our record against what you consider superior teams was better. Again, Dynamo Moscow and Panathanaikos are 2 completely different teams with completely different styles of play - you cannot compare the 2 ties and definitively state that Dundee Utd would have taken anything off of Panathanaikos, the same way that you cannot state that Dynamo Moscow would have taken more goals off us unless the games took place.
  13. Prove it. The game didn't take place, you have nothing other than speculation to back that statement up. How do you know that Dynamo Moscow wouldn't have set up differently to Panathanaikos did and Motherwell wouldn't have created more chances. You can't because the game didn't happen. For some reason you are determined to compare apples and oranges in an attempt to argue that Motherwell are shite. This is a Dundee United team that finished below Motherwell last season remember so why not bring that into your comparisons of the two teams in two completely separate matches played in two completely different situations?
  14. All seemed to have been caused by one policeman insisting that people queued for one turnstyle and in one queue that went all the way round to the ticket office. We ignored him and went up to the Knowetop end and walked straight in with a choice of 3 turnstyles and no search despite 3 stewards being in attendance. As for those berating folk who didn't turn up until 7:20ish, unfortunately many still had to work the full day before leaving for the match so the request to arrive early was fair enough, but not possible for some. Not sure what more the club could have done when the queues look to have been caused by the police.
  15. Autostitch is the app you want...
  16. He's quite tall, so I daresay he could put his mind to it! Anyway, I'm sure there are more reasons that he won't be anywhere near Fir Park on trial than the fact he's not a centre half!
  17. I imagine it'll be an Under 20 target, by my reckoning we only have Ross Stewart at that age level... Either that or Craig Gordon
  18. Moan 1 - the team will be VASTLY inexperienced. Moan 2 - McCall is looking at a versatile experienced player, who he has worked with before. Doesn't quite add up that does it?!
  19. European football is generally considered to be slower than the kick and rush stuff that is employed in Scotland, so it probably won't hinder Higdon as much as some folk are hoping....
  20. They'll still be broadcasting Celtic games - that will still attract the Rangers fans as they watch every Celtic game going to fuel their hatred of them.
  21. Good to see that Ross Forbes has quickly been replaced as the scapegoat.... Never understood this constant need to have a player that is continually criticised within the squad. Anyway, I agree about Clarky - I think he'd be a great capture for us.
  22. I had that comment lined up as well!! You can't be allowed to forget a thing like that!!
  23. That's an interesting point, and something that may be pertinent.... I think everyone is agreed that Rangers should be punished for their actions, but until the SPL are asked to vote on a Newco and announce what sanctions, if any, will apply, we won't know exactly where their punishment is best served. If they are in the SPL but severely hampered, then that may be a harsher existence for them than starting in the SFL again where they'll more than likely be the big fish for 3 years. I'm not saying that they should remain in the SPL, but until all of the implications are known then it's hard to say how revenge is best served.
  24. Heard this as well... possibly more part of a severance agreement that coincidentally matched his salary, than an official agreement to pay half of his salary for Hearts?
