Despite the Edinburgh grounds being closer and enjoying the view from the away end at Tynecastle it seems right that the game is being played at Hampden. Hope that the clubs and the SFA do all in their power to promote it as a sporting event open to everybody interested in the "national game". Could a section of Hampden be promoted as a neutral's section?

Reasons why I'm probably not renewing: Cost of SPL matches far too expensive for the quality of football played, increasingly finding junior matches better value for money, ie SPL matches are not 4 times better than the Stagecoach Premier League. Treatment of Diddy Club's fans by too many in authority. Messing around with kick-off to suit TV rather than fans. Despite the spin coming from FP on occasions it does seem like the players cannot be bothered playing for the club. As a football fan I'll still pop along to 'Well games regularly but next season I'll pick and choose which games to go and see.

Planning to go to this one as it fits in with plans elsewhere but gladly give it a miss if something was arranged to show strength of feeling against rediculous timing.

Well that was a load of crap. Do the players actually review the matches? As there appears to be no learning and implementing a Plan B. As soon as the BBC described the ICT midfield as "congested" I could have made for the exit knowing that the current Motherwell team have not got the nous to defeat opponents using this tactic.

And typical of the Beeb they've butchered the Motherwell contribution, including Humphrey's shot into the South Stand after the swift counter attack in front of the East Stand.

As Celtic prepared to take a free kick on the edge of the 'Well box their fans in the South Stand were bouncing and giving it the 'do do do' big time. The kick went straight out of harms way and the East Stand instantly took over with the bouncing while the greatest fans in the World stopped.

As a football fan who proudly supports Motherwell I enjoyed today's game at Dunterlie Park. Whether it was the game being played at the traditional time on a Saturday, on a grass pitch, or the value for money product on the park, or the lack of jobsworths in flourescent jackets demonstrating the contempt for fans held by too many involved with the SPL. It lead me to the conclusion not to renew my season ticket for Fir Park.

Seems like lower league grounds (whether junior or senior) with no undersoil heating have pitches with grass still growing om them. Nature seems to suggest that cooked grass doesn't grow, when will that penny drop?
