  1. Is this the same UEFA & SFA combination that expects Fir Park to be at a far higher standard than comparable grounds elsewhere in Europe as Decorator and co can testify?
  2. No joke: A St Johnstone fan was evicted for making a noise with his wooden football rattle and another St Johnstone fan's vuvuzela was confiscated by a steward. Not condoning the smoke canisters being set off but today's crowd control (bullying) would make the most authoritarian librarian wince. 7 police, including several traffic officers, and stewards surrounding 35 - 40 wee neds.
  3. 1 - 0 Excellent result for Northern Ireland.
  4. Impotent performance from 'Well and that was before a ball was kicked in anger. As the front four practiced in the warm up only Murphy put the ball in the net... once! Despite their position right in front of the goal, Sutton, Humphrey and Blackman couldn't even get the ball on target. Only confirmed what was about to befall the team. The hungrier, more determined team is into the group stages, and like most on here I'll be showing no interest in their progress.
  5. Surely if he was on Radio Scotland he was discussing the masses travelling to Utrecht.
  6. Weird, on Thursday the team lost but we celebrated (the away goal) like mad. Today the team won but the poor performance left us rather underwhelmed.
  7. As my post cards from Odense said: saw none of the sights, did none of the touristy things, but had a great visit to the town.
  8. Huge thanks for organising the trip and the call this afternoon. Any news yet on our mystery fan that disappeared in Kent?
  9. Well did today go as well as you hoped?
  10. Same for my favourite haunt: Starbucks? I presume there's one or two in Odense.
  11. Seems like the directors need the money now: Boyle and Lapping
  12. But in which team? Will he be among the trialists or the saviour of the first eleven?
  13. For the unselfish lay off to Page for his goal it's Murphy.
  14. Always thought Roald Amundsen, Edvard Grieg and Henrik Ibsen were the most famous Norwegians. Whilst Ibsen and Grieg combined well to produce Peer Gynt, none of Amundsen's music comes to mind.
  15. Seems like the Oirish theme pub by Queens Street station is the focal point for our visitors from Norway. A colourful group of Aalesunds fans were enjoying a few libations amidst the great unwashed making their way out to the tattiebowl.
  16. Does that headline translate as "senile Scottish supporters"?
  17. The 84 year old proof reader strikes again!
