Over the years there's been many many times, but another which sticks out would be the day Matt Johnstone released his 'Joe Wark knew my Father tae..' book, the book launch in Jack Daniels featured a few legends and obviously Joe Wark, Joe stayed the whole afternoon and held court at one of the tables in JD's, Kirkie was there too, wee Dougie spent some time as did Wullie P himself. A grand day oot, just goes to show that missing these offshoot events means missing out on meeting these legends for more than an autograph. I met Luc the week he signed, I was working at Fir Park and he came out into the bit of the main stand between the laundry room and the dressing room, he spent a good 20 minutes blethering, I didn't want to spark up a snout while talking to him, he was probably thinking the same thing!

Spent an entire day 1-1 with Davie Cooper while working at his house, he didnae want to train and I din't want to go to my next job, so I spent the day with Coop having tea and toast. It was the day after we beat Celtic in '91 cup semi. A total gent of a guy and sound as fuck, he bumped my boss for the job too, that elevates him to legendary status anyway, but any time I saw him afterwards while working at Fir Park or out and about he always said hello or bought a round. He was top class. The trust should have an open surgery on match days, someone at a desk where there is a point of contact for all members and anyone wishing to find anything out. The club could reserve one of the tables in the Cooper suite for the purpose and all board members could have a turn facing their members.

My thoughts exactly, I know one of the parents is an Ibrox ST holder but comes to every Motherwell game with his boy when he can, but I doubt he'll come without the ticket, and his son is too young to travel by himself.
