  1.

Choosing a user name these days harks back to the days where you tried to be rude with three letter player names when you got into the top 10 on yer Sega!!!

I won a competition online on the PS3, there was to be a big feature on their website, it's never made the front page. <_>

  2. I suppose certain members will always be excluded from these kind of things, although someone did manage to get my username read out on a software company's podcast, with a massive pause before the Turd part as it dawned on him what he had just said.....

  3. Compare with Sanchez, who never achieved anything at Wycombe and was useless at Fulham.

As a club who did fuck all in the 80's (bar win the 1st division) Motherwell hark to Scottish and League cup semi final defeats as being highs, Wycombe were within 90 minutes of an FA Cup final by the same logic you provide for Gary Mac.

I am not a Sanchez fanboy, I'm only making a counterpoint to the shreiking Fulham fan by pointing out the view of more than one Sligo fan's view of yer man Sanchez. Any manager we get is going to be an unknown quantity, but Calderwood would be the daftest appointment since the dentist's at midnight.

  4. I don't know about Sanchez, whether he's in/oot/interested, but of the names that have been mentioned and the situation we find ourselves in (skint) My Irish buddies all to a man reckon Sanchez would be best suited at making the preverbial silk purse from the pig's scrotum.

  5. With Patrick Boyle coming to the club it opens up options. Isn't he able to play on the left wing also? And if he's not, we could push Hammell up into that position and leave Boyle at LB.

I think he will prove to be a decent player. You don't get snapped up by the likes of Everton as a youth if your a waster!

And on the subject of Foran, I alqays quite liked him, but him resigning for us would be a step backwards for us in my opinion.

Hammy on the left wing? You play way too much Footy Manager, it's been tried and he looked lost.

  6. See I'm working on the assumption that Hughes is away (doesn't seem to be much talk about Graeme Smith, so who knows??). If the guy Beevers, who can apparently play anywhere in the back four, signs then for me we'd be sorted for cover at the back and it'd be curtains for Brian McLean.

IF it's confirmed that Boyle has signed then I'll welcome the fact we have cover for left back. But Hammell has a good record injury/suspension wise up until now so I don't know how much we'll see of the guy...

Who says we won't sell Hammy?

  7. Same applies to Jimmy Calderwood, John Robertson, Ian McCall and these guys get slagged off.

Not by me, historically Jock Wallace is the only manager I can remember to have had top league experience when they came to manage us.

I think Calderwood would cost us too much, Robbo I don't care for as a man and if McCall was appointed it would be a case of 'suck it and see'

  8. Yip, carry oot fae the supermarket and our ain escort watching o'er us tae make sure we didnae cause any bother. As always they were in the wrang place at the wrang time, sannies.

Trying to get in the St Johnstone end didnae really help our cause either....

  9. I see the Lip & Yabbas old man claim to have seen all our managers. I really hope thats not true. :D

They've seen P.B. MacDonald, Alex McIntyre and W.H. Barrie? Now I'm getting on in years but even my late father had never seen them and he began going to FP in the 1920s.

My old man's seen all the ones listed on soccerbase.com :D He started going to Fir Park in the late 30's Dave

  10. Obviously this person would have to have coaching experience but the knowledge of how things work at Fir Park, the way the fans think, the history of the club would, for me, be an advantage. Anything that helped a new manager adapt to Motherwll and the SPL quicker would surely be a good thing...

Aye, cos Jim Griffin was a roaring success with Kampman eh?

I love reading London Irish's self serving spin, Leitch is looking out for number 1, no one else, if he can raise his own stock simply by riding the coat tails of McGhee he could land himself a very lucrative place kissing the opposite cheek on Mcghee's arse from wee Strachan, erm as assistant to McGhee at his next gig....
