Rip the seats out of the last two sections of the East and give us a "Safe Standing" area. I'm not a Wellboy (way too old ) but I do like to stand at games and I know that others do to (my season ticket is in Row S so I get to stand all game with no problems - we can't all fit into Row S though).

I think some changes in personnel and attitude are going to have to happen for that. Likewise, I hope I'm proved wrong and again, likewise, I'll be watching them regardless of which league we're in - we were a First Division team the first time I set foot in Fir Park and a return to the First isn't going to put me off Motherwell FC.

I agree with that. I can cope with us being rubbish, we're Motherwell not Barcelona. What I can not/will not tolerate is a lack of interest, a lack of pride/dignity/self-respect. Motherwell fans know we are not going to compete with the OF or win cups regularly, what we do expect however is a manager and a squad who are prepared to put up a fight and show the required pride/dignity/self-respect. Some meet the criteria IMO, more do not. It's not unreasonable for us to expect people, who are earning significantly more than the fans who pay their wages, to apply themselves and have a bit of backbone.

I thought he fought for everything (sometimes literally) and wasn't scared to get in about it. No-nonsense "it's my ball, fuck you" type. We need that. Shows some promise and I'd like it if we got his loan extended to the end of the season (wouldn't want to buy him just yet, he may be a Jim O'Brien).

We're fucked. Season tickets will probably be cheaper next year though, seeing we'll be a First Division side.

It's like the Killie away thread all over again (but without the fish). What did they doo afterwards? Did they go raven? Did anyone get a shag out of it? As long as they weren't robin the bird-table, there's no point in making a tit of yourself by crowing about it. Just a comment about the prediction of fog for the game. Clear as a bell in Overtown 20 minutes ago, very foggy just now.

Fog's no a problem. Increases our chances of finding a 'Well player with a pass. My only worry about this game is that I'm not worried about it. I usually post that "I have a bad feeling about this" with a picture of Obi Wan Kenobi but right now my, only bad feeling is that I don't have a bad feeling about this. If that makes sense.

I had my shirt printed "Uncle Phil 10" (it was going to be "O'Donnell 10" but the club shop had no apostrophes left) for the Hearts cup game in January and, apart from the day of the game in Nancy, it's been in retirement. I'll probably wear it to the ICT game, though it will be under the heaviest jacket I own (it's the end of December after all). Other than that, I'm content to let it go. I'll be fully involved in any tribute/applause/silence if one does take place but I do agree with Melvin Bragg when he said... That said, I think an applause on 78 minutes (as suggested) with no prior announcement or fuss may just be subtle enough and meaningful enough to convey our thoughts of respect for Phil and condolence to his family without being over-bearing.

Well done to all involved. MFC Girls seem to be a force to be reckoned with. Long may it continue.
