  1. If ever a post carried a chib . . .
  2. We moved seats as well. Grumpy old gets moaning (amongst themselves) that we were in their seats (one wee biddy nearly lost her napper she shook it from side to side that much). I felt the need to butt in and remind them of the situation (which they clearly knew about but felt the need to moan anyway). I thought where I usually sit was bad for negativity Jeeh Soh Man! This was a new high! I think the best answer is to let folks take their seats home with them so they can sit in front of the mirror and practice their insults Altogether now. . . "Get Fitzpatrick aff McGhee, He's shite!"
  3. Some folk in the East Stand boo him ON to the park!
  4. Wow! Are you logging on from the special unit at Shotts?
  5. Its idiots like Hugh Keevins we hand stories on a plate to. The abuse worked a treat at New Douglas Park btw - when he scored two and rubbed our pathetic noses in it. My chest puffed with pure unadulterated pride when in a quieter moment one of my fellow 'Well fans bellowed 'Fuck Off ya wee t a i g bastard'. I was over the moon to be a well fan that day! I was also chuffed to spot that he was standing a few rows in front of my cousin and his young son. For every two 'Patriots' there's a hanger on that manages to take it that wee step further.
  6. Thats funny Fraz. I was replying tongue in cheek / ironically to someone who posted 'utter garbage' about my point of view in an earlier post. Read the whole thread young man, instead of butting in half way through.
  7. Yeah that'll get us a victory What planet? All it will get is column inches that you will throw your arms up in indignation about. Can't you (and your cronies) be a bit cleverer for a change!
  8. Lets draw a line in the sand and support the guy and shout down those who constantly get on his back. It's a sad day when one of his team-mates has to have a go at us (MFC support) in the press. We all know what it's like if we sit in the stands particularly the East. I'm pleased that Hughes has spoken out - but the downside is our support look crap in the national media (again) Lets get behind the guy!
  9. The sad thing in all of this is - Fitzy is way good enough. In terms of midfielders at our club at present - I'd rate him as 2nd behind Hughes. He'd be on my teamsheet every week. Underrated doesn't even come close.
  10. I didn't read it like that. I read that he was happy to come and improve under McGhee (who has a record of improving attacking players). & I'd rather he joked with Caddis about who finishes 3rd as opposed to who finishes 10th. Yesterday, to me, he didn't look to me like a player that is here purely to fanny about for a couple of months. But we read and interpret things differently I suppose DEWELL
  11. Its a lost cause. People are by and large bitter, negative and thick. Q. How do you make someone play better? offer support or dish abuse? A. Dish abuse
  12. There's not much to be added to the comments on the first half tactics being way off the mark, I think most of us have got it spot on. On comment I would add though on the midfield situation. Marc Fitzpatrick takes dogs abuse yet dusts himself down and gets into position to collect the ball again and have another go. He will run himself into the ground for our team. He never hides I think the treatment of him from the support is nothing short of diablical. He'll always have my total admiration for the job he has done here and the circumstances in which he has done it. Like I say Fitzy never hides, unlike the houswives and the steelmenonline favourite - who had a shocking first hald in terms of involvement and contribution. Probably the poorest 45minutes I've seen Lasley play. I'm not throwing abuse in Lasley's direction, I'm merely pointing out that yesterday he was extremely poor (almost invisible) and IMHO his overall contribution to our cause this season and more paricularly in recent weeks has been poorer than MF's. However again where is the logic behind the vitriol thrown Fitzy's way? I'm merely highlighting Las to contrast his support to that of Fitzy's
  13. O'Brien beat men all over the place yesterday and delivered plenty of decent crosses.
  14. The point is a really good one. I personally believe that it's the underlying anti-catholic viepoint that pervade an element of our support. Has been there for years and turns my stomach. Chris Porter took time to get going for us pre-season last year and he was moaned and groaned about but nothing like what we've seen for o'brien and sheridan before they even kicked a ball. Sheridan will be a good test - because he came on yesterday, slotted in to the team and performed pretty well. It's hard to see where the critics can go from here. Him coming on and the associated change in formation saved the game for us yesterday. Still while walking out at the end of the game heard people saying he was 'pish'. They either were watching the seagulls or something else entirely is going on. We can go into denial all we want, this element is part of our support (and steelmenonline membership). Bob Malcolm's behaviour in the past on and off the field cannot be compared in any way to that of Sheridan and O'Brien - if Bob Malcolm gets criticism, then to a certian extent he's brought it on himself
  15. Chase Yersel Lenny! There's a difference between criticism and some of the mental health and anger management issues we have on here. I refer the right honourable gentlemen to the answer I gave some moments ago - I concede criticism is part and parcel on a forum - But not the stuff that's led the Samaratins to get their phone lines changed so that Option 2 is for SteelmenOnline users! You used to be funny Lenny - 'DE CONDENSED MILK' etc etc
  16. Why? Because I started a thread to discuss why a number of posters are so negative about the club?
  17. Spookey eh? I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion too. That wasn't the point. The point is actually - if things are as bad and as enfuriating in every aspect - why do those most upset about this mistreatment and disrespect not go and pusue another more life enhancing pursuit. Fuck sake the world's in financial meltdown and we're getting upset at Cillian Sheridan getting a shirt with a No. 9 on it for 4 months of his life.
  18. oooft - I hit the crossbar! Where do you stand on the original post tho' Jamie - or are you more interested in deflecting the thread away from that and stirring the shite?
  19. Or Jim O'Brien, Brian McLean, Tommy Coyne, Ray Houghton, Nigel Quashie, Neil Alexander, Stuart McCall, Don Hutchison, Owen Coyle, Ged Brannan etc Aye fair point
  20. There's nothing I can do about being Scottish - I can't piss off and be American for instance. (although Salmond is testing that to the limit ) My point is around if things are so bad - surely the best thing to do is get yourself out of the situation. I know there are good things and bad things about the club - good players and not so good. However if I had to walk around under the cloud that covers some posters or if I was as perpetually angry as some posters - I'd seriously consider some counselling or removing myself from such a negative environment and go follow snooker or take up line dancing or something much less taxing and harmful. As a club - this is probably as good as it gets - looking like we can challeng for europe and looking like we could get a run in one of the cups. I care about you all I really do - I just think you should all go get yourself sorted out before you collectively burst some blood vessels Take care out there well fans
  21. Jim O'Brien, Paul Quinn, Marc Fitzpatrick, Mark Reynolds, Bob Malcolm, Graeme Smith, Cillian Sheridan, Mark McGhee etc etc etc. will tell you differently
  22. Here's another option. Remember Clarky AND Sutton AND Porter didn't work Who's to say Clarky AND Sheridan AND Sutton can't
